Their work is impeccable. I'm in love with my railing that they powder coated. What I didn't love was their lack of communication. I was told 7-10 day turn around time. On day 8, I called for an update, and was told I'd be called or emailed back...nothing. Called on day 10 and was told 2 more days, maybe. I had to call every time I needed an update. As the consumer, this is unacceptable. They came highly recommended by someone who uses them frequently. And maybe that's the key to good service, being a regular. If they had better customer service and communication they'd be 5 stars. read more

We hired RW Little to sandblast our wood patio covers. Randy came out to look at the patio covers and was very detailed in the process and how they would cover all the doors and windows, and lay plastic down over our pavers to minimize clean-up. The guys came the next week and did an okay job sandblasting the patio covers. Towards the end of the day, everyone seemed rushed, that I ended up having to cleanup a lot of the sand myself. (They didn't lay any plastic down, like I was told they would.) A few weeks had passed and I noticed that they used duct tape to hold the plastic over my doors and windows. Instead of taping the plastic to the stucco house (which would have been easy to touch-up any paint), they taped it right to the doors and windows, which peeled off the paint of our very expensive Jeld-Wen Aluminum All-Clad French Doors and Windows. I tried to reach out to the management at RW Little to express my frustration that now we have to have our windows and doors painted, but no one has returned my phone calls. If you hire RW Little to do any mobile sandblasting my suggestion is to make sure everything the crew does is exactly how it is described in the work order and make sure they don't duct tape any plastic directly to your windows and doors. read more

This was the place back in the day, but times have changed and so has the quality of their work and more importantly their customer service. Marissa has the charm of a 60 year old spinster who has been working at the DMV for the past 40 years. She has absolutely no idea of color matching or what customer service is about. I am at a loss as to why she works there? I was so disappointed with her attitude and the way I was treated I went to Bradford Powder Coating in south bay. I have used R.W. Little for sandblasting the wood signs I make for businesses for probably 20 years except for a few years when I was out of the area. They have served me well. You really find out what a business is like when you do run into a problem and see how they deal with it. This week I picked up some signs and was not satisfied with the blasting, not deep enough. I brought in some items for a weekend warrior garage motorcycle project. This place did a very good job at a competitive price, and had great customer service. I called ahead before heading over and the staff person on the phone answered promptly and was very polite (which can be a rarity when calling places like this). I had to get some items media blasted so I could paint them myself and also got other parts blasted and powdercoated. I was quoted a price and timeline when I dropped off the parts. They delivered on what they promised. The blasting was done very well and the powdercoating was very nice. Turnaround time for this simple job was about a week and they made sure to call and remind me when the parts were ready. My experience of getting simple operations done to simple parts was great. They also handle bigger and more complex jobs but I do not have any experiences with that. read more

Got my racing wheels sandblasted and painted gold to go with My Subaru livery. I bought a Yelp coupon good for about $30 off. On the phone they stated that they had 2 choices of gold, one was cheap and one was pricier. I was going to opt for the cheaper one but when I saw the colors in person, the cheap one did not look gold at all. It was indistinguishable from regular silver. So I had to go with the only other gold option, which required the clearcoat. I didn't mind so much, since even the pricier option was still cheaper than all the other companies in the San Diego area. Turnover was very quick. They estimated one week. I got the call in 5 days. Quality of work is good. There were a few imperfections in the paint job (minor dents) and unevenness in the paint, but overall pretty good work. Color came out perfect. Time will tell if the paint job holds up to weather and sun exposure. read more

If you're restoring anything made of metal, no matter how nasty and rusty, take it to R.W. Little on Pacific Highway and it will come back as good as new. They seem to specialize in sandblasting car frames, but they'll do anything, no matter how small, and then powdercoat it whatever color you want. Very satisfying. read more

I had many pieces done there only to find them rusting. This is the response I got from them to pay them to redo the pieces. Rust on all my pieces done at RW Little to Customer Service I use the bakers racks for my potted plants outside so of course they are getting wet. I do not wipe under and around my plants and lift every pot to do so. If I needed all the marine coat & other items you listed I think that I should have been told that I needed it when I brought the item in. If the items that I brought were rusty in the inside as you claim, i think that I could/should have been told that also. The last item that I picked up from RW Little was in November of last year 2018. Surely the powder coat should not have rust on it already. The item before that was just a few months previous to that. I am not going to load all of the bakers racks back to you and pay you again when you are claiming that rust was /is coming from the inside out. It looks to me like the powder coating looks pretty when I first get it but is inadequate to preserve my bakers racks for use for my plants. Again, I think that it is reasonable to have had someone in your shop tell me that at the time. The rust is in the curves and joints which maybe your workers did not adequately coat. I will not pay you any more money to redo what seems to not have been done well to begin with. If there were issues with the pieces and the powder coating was /is not adequate to save them from being ruined I think that should have been told to me. All of the pieces, I believe, were done by you in the last two years, some just a few months ago. Surely the powder coating should last longer than that. I will take more pictures and post comments on yelp and google reviews with your comments to me. Also, I had asked about the marine layer coating and was told that I was not so close to the ocean to need it. Seems like I just wasted a few thousand dollars with your shop. Our full intentions were to refinish your items to withhold longer than they have. After looking over the provided images, we are concluding that your items rust is leaking out from within your items. Unfortunately there is no way of us knowing an item is rusting from the inside. At this point we are curious how wet these items get. If not wiped off often, powder coated items can begin to rust in small pot holes/ or areas where the metal is not fully meeting itself. Powder coat will wrap around metal but it would be best to do a Marine Coat system. Which is a three part paint system. We would be able to caulk and stripe coat within each nook and cranny insuring no water would be getting in as well as no rust getting out. However because RW Little did complete and refinish these items to the best of our ability without knowledge of rust within items, we would have to charge for redo. The first image of the pink color seems to be a flat surface. With that particular item , it seems to be a coating fault on our end and we can redo that one piece for free. We would need to see all items in full to get a price together for redo on all other items. I hope we can resolve your issue.
