I give this place a four not because of stellar arcade and latest technology in bowling but because it's a good old fashion day if fun for the family. When we drove by ryans family amusement on a Monday afternoon and it looked closed. I was thinking to myself awe another place out of business but no! We got the joint all to ourselves. After about 4 o'clock people started to come in. I guess it was after school was over. It never got crazy busy so we had plenty of games to ourselves. Ryans family amusements didn't have some of the newer arcade games but my children 3 and 5 definitely enjoyed themselves. After about an hour of gaming we mosied on over to the bowling alley. Here we pulled the bumpers up and did some candle pin bowling. They did have a dinosaur slide to perfect the kiddos bowling game . They also serve cape cod beer to perfect the adults bowling game! So whether you are bringing the kids to come in play a few games or coming in for some pregame I think Ryans family amusement would punch the ticket! P.S. Went to Ryan a few weeks ago with my 2 yo. The staff was so helpful, kind and friendly it was unbelievable!. The bowling section is small, but decent with candle pin bowling which I love. They make it toddler friendly by blocking the gutters and giving you ramps which is great for little kids. The arcade section was okay. There were a few items that seem outdated. Of course, most of the games are rip offs. I had $10 and played games with my son and we were done in 10 minutes. We got over 100 tickets but only managed to get very cheap prizes that broke immediately. I suppose if you love the stationery racing car video games, then you can be there for hours and have fun as its only 2 tokens. The place is a little dark, and needs a facelift inside and out. Overall I would say you can have a decent evening there but I probably wouldn't go too often. read more

Had my holiday party there yesterday. The prices were reasonable and the staff was fantastic. They work together with the neighboring Jockey club whose food was outstanding. The whole experience was top notch. They truly care about making sure the customer is happy. We will be back for sure! read more

duckpin bowling, a pretty fair-sized game room, beer. What's not to love about this place. Every year we go to visit my FIL at his cottage for a few days we always come here for a giant game of duckpin bowling. My 5yo and 2yo love it and are pretty good. And as adults, it's frustrating because we stink, but at least there's a MPH on the screen so we know how hard we're throwing our 7-10 splits. read more

I have been here a couple of times and it used to be better. The last time I was here just put me over the edge. Parked in the parking lot and you could see where someone had thrown out all their trash from take out food and it had been driven over in the parking lot. NOT a nice start. Approaching the front door there is a crowd of 6 people all smoking and dropping the f'bomb Yah real family friendly! The lane they first assigned our group to had people in it. SO they moved us over. There were 3 people bowling next to us but a crowd of 10 people taking up space and just socializing. Management should have told them they needed to move their "party". I still had a good time. But then got my credit card statement a few weeks later, Should have been for use of 1 lane for 1 hour and some shoe rentals. There were 6 total charges and it was more than 3 times what the price should have been! It was poorlly itemized and when I called to ask about pricing and the charges I got a lame, we will have someone call you back????? I'm reporting them to the Attorney Generals Office. read more

This is a fun place to come and play some candlepin bowling, and the woman who runs the place is a good friend of mine. They do Mystic Bowling on Friday and Sunday nights, with laser lights, and music videos shown on pull down movie screens. They have an arcade with a few games, and do children's bowling/arcade birthday parties. I will say that the bowling lanes are all in good shape and feature gutter bumpers and automatic scoring, but the arcade contains only a few actual video games. The rest are all "ticket games", which I'm not into. I hardly spend any time in the arcade while I'm here. Man, I miss the Golden Age Of Arcades. The price of one game of bowling is $5.20, which is kind of steep in my book. On Sundays you can rent a lane, $23 for 3 hours On weekdays, it's $30. Best to go with a group of friends and split the cost. They also have leagues you can join. Their official policy is no outside food or drink, but I've seen people sneak stuff in. They do have soda and snack machines on site, and offer beer on tap. In summary, if you're into candlepin bowling, and have some money to spend, you can have fun for a few hours here. Just stay away from the arcade. I don't think they'll ever change it. read more

Not recommended for parents who work hard for their money this place is such a rip off with the loadable cards each game is 79 or 39 or 49 cents and how are you supposed to use all the money on your card to the exact why can't they just be tokens like old times oh yea they found a way to rip people off and they have a box that says please recycle your cards when you leave and it you think about it each card still has at least 5 to 30 cents on it think about the hundreds of cards they get back each day it adds up so yea a rip off kids can't even have a decent time anymore 10 mins and 10 dollars is gone not recommended read more

Long story short, I had a bunch of tickets to redeem and was looking for items that were under-two friendly. One item they had was a "light & sound" princess wand for 629 tickets. For an additional 129 tickets you could get the batteries for it. I asked for both and was told they didn't have the batteries but would discount the the number of tickets needed for the wand. That was fine, I had batteries at home. So we're on our way out the door and I noticed this "light & sounds" wand comes with the batteries. Just pull the battery compartment tab and good to go....well the tab had already been removed and I could see the batteries inside yet it wouldn't work. No lights, no sounds. I returned to the arcade ticket counter where I was matter of factly told that's how they (the wands) arrived and by how they meant not working. ..as in defective or broken. So you take my tickets and give me a "lights & sounds" wand that has neither feature. Knowing full well its for my kid? Come on, really? Shame on you. I won't be back. read more
