Dr. Maddox does a great job of walking you through every step he's doing which really helps the anxiety of it all. All the hygienists and staff are super friendly, & make me feel very welcomed & comfortable every time I come in. Due to an extremely traumatic dental experience that left me with lifelong fear and significant anxiety, I never ever thought that I would leave a review for a dentist, let alone a positive one. But Dr Maddox is definitely worthy of a positive review. Not only is he incredibly good at what he does but he has an amazing rapport with the patient, is empathetic towards those of us with extreme anxiety, is gentle in what he does and explains everything that he's doing along the way. Dr. Maddox stayed late on short notice, on a Friday, to treat my painful tooth. He is not my regular dentist.... my guy was on vacation. I was concerned my tooth issue was about to ruin my vacation. He and his assistant saved the day. Dr.Maddox is an excellent dentist, He is ethical and kind and I highly recommend him! What makes Dr.Maddox set a part from other dentists is his up to date knowledge of dentistry trends and his ability to "clearly" explain the procedure step by step as he is administering it. Most dentists do not do this! His verbal communication is very comforting especially if you have anxiety when going to the dentist. His staff is very friendly and professional. I love Dr Maddox's office! I am a totally dental-phobe and this is the first dentist that I actually look forward to going to. The staff is so friendly and caring. Dr Maddox gives it to me straight as to the condition of my teeth and what can be done to correct any problems. I love that he puts the ball back in my court and doesn't try to strongarm me into having things done for financial gain. I've had dentists that made me feel like ALL the treatments were dire and needed to be done immediately and if I didn't agree, they were disgruntled. Dr Maddox tells me what will happen if I don't take care of something in a straight forward and truthful manner and let's me decide if I want to go forward. I wasn't happy with the dental work by my previous dentist, and wanted to get a second opinion before having any more work done, so I decided to give Dr. Maddox a try. I'm very glad I did. He is very professional and lets you know every step of the way what he's doing and why it needs to be done. The receptionist and hygienist are both incredibly friendly and cheery every time I go in for a cleaning, and his office is clean and modern. His recommendations on what work was really needed was considerably less than the previous dentist suggested, and he really takes an effort to recommend appropriate preventative work before things get painful, and was even able to get the work covered by my insurance. And unlike my previous dentist he has a clean dental record--no suspensions for improper dental work. He fixed a cracked filling that was starting to get a cavity and a sealant that had seen better days, before they had the opportunity to turn into a painful cavities, so it didn't even require anesthetic to get the teeth fixed--glad I got that taken care of early and he didn't just wait for it to require a more expensive and painful repair! He got the bite perfect on the new filling/sealant first try, so it didn't take forever to keep re-adjusting the tooth surface. He even called at home later that evening to make sure the filing was doing well. I was so happy with my dental experience at Dr. Maddox's office that I suggested my husband change dentists as well. He was so happy with the work he had done (and especially the work it turned out he didn't need done after all!) that he's referred multiple of his coworkers who were seeing our previous dentist, and they are all so glad they've switched as well. I wish all dentists were as honest and ethical as Dr. Maddox. read more

With the excellent staff and his "in house" affordable dental care program Dr Maddox is a no brainer. His staff was more than helpful. I called as I had a broken tooth and was experiencing a lot of pain. His very helpful secretary Eileen said I could immediately be seen.
