I had an unfortunate accident where my pup took me out by the ankles and I cracked my two front teeth. Dr. Zahra Hosseini and Tiffany Flores gave me the best care I could ever imagine. It was a traumatizing experience and they went the extra mile to make sure that I was comfortable and calm. I live in San Francisco and was up visiting family and can confidently say that I will be coming back up for all dental services because of my experience. Not only did they stay after hours to take care of me, but the bedside manner was a 20/10. I also left with teeth that look better than they ever did. The best! I did Invisalign here so I visited quite a few times over the past few months and was very impressed! Here's why. The Staff: Great attitude and efficiency. Dentist offices can be dull but not this one; everyone was happy and warm and cheerful, from the second you walk in the door and beyond. They are punctual- I was never kept waiting for my appointment yet I never felt rushed during it. It's a big office with a lot of staff but they manage to all make you feel like you're their only patient. Dr. Hosseini: Wow. You only have to talk to Dr. Hosseini for a few minutes to realize how incredibly smart and competent she is. She's also very patient and good at explaining things without being condescending. She's thorough- With Invisalign, you can get all your trays at once and basically do it yourself, but Dr. Hosseini had me come in frequently so she could check my progress and make sure all was well. At my first visit to this dentist, she told me the striations on my teeth that she showed me in the pictures were cracks and if I didn't get them fixed they would get worse. I took the very expensive estimate home with me and my husband and I decided I'd better get it done since the office manager assured me the insurance would pay most of it. When I went back to get the preliminary work done, I was again assured the office was working with the insurance company and it would be okay to sign the contract. I gave them a check for our portion. I had the work done and every time I went in, or talked to them on the phone, I was told they were waiting for a call back from insurance. I called the insurance company and was told, according to their records, they had only had one form submitted and one call from the dentist's office. Eventually the insurance company turned down the claim saying the procedure had not been medically necessary. In the meantime, we had submitted our own claim to the insurance company and they paid us. Now, this greedy dentist is trying to get us to pay the whole bill, even what we were paid by the company. However in the course of all this we had been told they would accept whatever the insurance company paid them. That turned out to be 0, but they sent the bill to a collection agent and we got a lawyer. DON'T GO TO THIS DENTIST! read more

I would give negative stars if I could, don't go to them unless you have good dental insurance, or are rich, and don't ask a lot of questions. In May 2017, I had an exam with Dr. Hosseini. Her office manager Kelly quoted me $6818 for four crowns and a filling. I informed her that I was a medical student, without a job, and they didn't take denti-cal insurance so I would have to pay 100% out of pocket. Kelly talked to Dr. H and emailed me back saying if I had ALL the treatment done with Dr.H and I paid the total upfront then she would take $1000 off. Obviously, paying $5818 upfront wasn't going to be feasible either. A few months later, I still couldn't afford it so I had my HMO denti-cal dentist do the filling for free. She ended up referring me to an Endodontist. I did keep Dr. H's office informed, but due to all the wait times for pre-auths and getting appointments, it wasn't until a year later that I finally was able to set up a follow-up appointment with Dr. H. The soonest I could get was Sept 16th, 2018 which was 2 weeks out because she was going on vacation. I let them know that I would only need 2 crowns (front teeth), because my sister now had a boyfriend that was a dentist in San Diego and he offered to do my back crowns for me at cost ($1000 for two full zirconia crowns). He would have done my front teeth too, but I still wanted the local dental lab and Dr.H to do them. Sept 16th appointment went great and I was excited with her approach and plan. 6 days later I learned that I could purchase delta dental insurance and receive a lower negotiated price. Called Kelly, she gave me the price ($2742), later emailed asking for it on paper along with whether or not there is a major dental work guarantee. Kelly emailed back, "Dr. Hosseini will contact you." 7 days later Dr. H calls and drops me as a patient, saying,"I don't think I'll be able to make you esthetically happy, you're having your work done by too many other providers, I've never had this happen with any of my other patients, I don't know your endodontist, and I don't have full control over your mouth." Which are all things she was aware of before we met again on Sept 16th. Funny that she only came to this conclusion after I asked about the negotiated prices and a guarantee on major dental work. Then as I'm crying and asking her questions as to why, she says she had to go because ironically she had Esthetics Club to get to. First off, releasing a patient because they can't afford to do all the treatment with your office nor can they afford to use the out of network endodontist that you refer too is 100% unethical. Those are all excuses anyways. The truth is that she wanted to make max profit off of me. Therefore, she didn't like it when I found a loophole per se and was going to be able to get the negotiated Delta dental price for my crowns which would have been $606 less than what she was charging me. So she decided that it was no longer worth it for her, so she kicked me to the curb. Which shows that unlike what she said to me over the phone, money does actually matter to her more than the patient does. I have been completely upfront about everything, it's her office that hasn't been. As a professional, she should have communicated better throughout the process instead of coming off as a teenager that didn't get her way. Dr. Hosseini is not only unethical, unprofessional, but inconsiderate as well. She and Kelly knew the date that I was driving to San Diego to get my back crowns done. If she was a decent human being she would have called me 7 days earlier like she was supposed to instead of hanging me out to dry. Then I would have waited until after my endo appointment to make the 15-hour round trip drive to SD. Also, at the beginning of August, I didn't take a cancellation that my endodontist miraculously had because she wanted to see me first but couldn't fit me in until after she came back from vacation. Then after the Sept 16th appointment, I talked to Kelly about pushing back my endo appointment from Oct. to Dec. that way I would be done studying for my medical board exam and could put my undivided attention towards the plan that Dr. H had discussed with me so we could get the best esthetic result. Lastly, I just discovered that her office has a Wellness plan that would have saved me money. The fact that no one ever mentioned this plan to me before is beyond unacceptable, especially since I have been telling them I can't afford it and asking about discounts and options since day one. I feel as if they were purposely withholding the fact that they had this plan because it would lower her profit by $370, the only thing ever mentioned was Care Credit. They are wolves in sheep's clothing. I don't recommend them at all unless​ you have money to throw around and don't question anything, and if you're paying out of pocket know that you will be charged more​ than the insured to cover her overhead costs. From the time you walk in the door the experience is lovely. This is coming from a person who does not like the dentist and hasn't been in 5 years. The whole office staff treated me with kindness and did not make me feel bad, just happy I was there moving forward, taking care of my teeth. I've been back quite a few times now, Dr. Hosseini is meticulous, I'm now getting veneers and my temporary teeth look better than what I had before. Her hygienist was great as well for my cleaning. I was recently searching for a local dentist in Folsom since our old dentist did not take our insurance anymore. As most people know, this can be quite the task. After calling around, reading reviews, and stressing out a bit, I gave Dr. Zahra Hosseini's office a call. They not only took my insurance, but they had an appointment available last week. My wife had sent me to be the guinea pig to see if this office would meet the needs of our family. My experience in the office was amazing, from check in to check out. Everything was easy. The staff was very nice and understanding. I was having a little bit of a major dental issue and I was surprised to find that Dr. Zahra Hosseini actually spend quality time with me, listening to my issue and recommending solutions. I first visited Dr Hosseini in 2016 when I was living in Folsom -- Prior to my first visit, I visited a few other dentists in the area but did not feel the level of attention to detail that was displayed by Dr Hosseini. Beyond this, I was also really impressed by the quality of work and tools/materials, and her patient and helpful attitude. In fact, everyone at her practice is incredibly kind and helpful. Needless to say, she did a phenomenal job. In 2018, I moved to San Francisco (and still live here at the time of this post). Recently, it was again time for me to have some dental work done. Naturally, I visited a couple of dentists in the city but none of them provided the quality of service and work that Dr Hosseini did. Thinking back to the great job that Dr. Hosseini did, I decided to make an appointment with her, take the day off work, and drive over 2 hours (each way) up to Folsom to have her do the work. Again, she did a great job and I'm glad I made that decision! I don't normally write reviews, but I highly recommend Dr Hosseini to anyone living in the Bay Area, let alone Folsom/Sacramento. I want to start with saying please don't go to this dentist please read to the end: I have moved to Folsom from Oceanside, CA, On August 03. my existing crown fell off a day after arriving to Folsom, CA. I went on yelp to look for a dentist I saw this Dentist that has 20 plus good review and wanted to give them a chance. I called this place and they had me in as an emergency appointment. Dentist assistant came first and look at the crown I brought with me and she started, is this permanent or temporary it does not look permanent. I said it is permanent and it fell off. The dentist came and look at and she said I can't put this on because of the tissues built on and need to see a specialist. She said she will give me the referral to the specialist to do the procedure and then will put the crown. I left expecting someone will give call about the referral. After a day of my visit someone called and said that we are very busy and your appointment is on Sep. 30. that is almost 2 months. I said OK. I waited for my appointment until today 09.23 someone called me from this dentist explaining there protocol with taking yearly x-rays for their record and then they will give me an appointment for cleaning. I was little surprised when she said cleaning. I told her that my concern is about my tooth that is exposed for 2 months now not the cleaning. She said yes the doctor will do the x-rays and then she will give you the referral to the specialist. I got frustrated when she said that. I told her and that will take another month? then I said I do have recent x-rays that has been taken by X-dentist in Oceanside and I can ask them to send you these x-rays and if you need more then you can take some more. She said sounds good and gave me their number so I can give it to my x-dentist to contact them to send them the x-rays. After like half and hour of this conversation I had another call from this dentist office her name is Kathryn Christie asking me if I have any questions. I told he I don't have any questions I already talked to someone half an hour ago and I will ask my dentist to send you the x-rays. She was rude and said sir this is our protocol and we have to take our own x-rays and if you are not comfortable with us you can cancel your appointment. I was really shocked with what she said. I told he is this how you care about your patients. Waiting for 2 month and exposed tooth and telling me now you can go head and cancel. I was really disappointed and frustrated. I started reading this dentist's reviews then I saw I was not the only one had situation with this dentist there are some others as well. My personal opinion that this dentist and her staff don't care about your health being. They care about how to make money on little thinks like x-rays and cleaning. I would never recommend this place to anybody I know. I called different dentist with 183 5 star reviews and they asked me to come in as early as next week to take of this exposed tooth. and they also offered an emergency appoint as soon as today. I could tell how big different in their way of caring about patients in compare to this dentist. I went to Dr. Hosseini based on yelp reviews. I wasn't sure about my dentist. I liked him, but always felt hurried and rushed. I felt like he was distracted and not really paying attention, just going through the motions. When my hygienist left, so did I. I needed to go to a dentist and my husband had gone to someone our friends recommend. She ended up being a nightmare. I was looking for someone and found Dr. Hosseini, I wanted a female. I wanted to switch my daughter and she does better with women. I've just had a bunch of dental work done and teeth cleaning. I never been treated so well. I don't remember a time when a dentist was so thorough. If you hate the dentist, this is the right place for you. It's impossible not to love Dr Hosseini. After my appointment, I realized what little care I had received from previous dentists. No dentist has spent the time and energy to make me comfortable and make sure I was screened for any possible abnormalities. We are now hearing constantly how teeth are linked to overall health. Not everyone looooves going to the dentist. However, when I step into this office I immediately feel comfortable and cozy. The reception area is comfortable and welcoming. You are immediately greeted by the friendly office assistant who is very professional and accommodating. The rooms are very clean and the staff including hygienists are going above and beyond CDC guidelines for proper PPE during this pandemic. Dr Hosseini is extremely efficient and very friendly. I feel that she is very honest and gives you all the different options to help make the proper treatment plan that works for you and your budget. I see dental hygienist Karen Martin. She is VERY sweet and genuinely cares about making you feel comfortable. First off I want to start by saying, Thank You Dr. Hosseini, Rachel & Nicole you guys have given me a better quality of life. It has taken me over 15 years to return to a dentist and I only did so because I had an injury to my mouth that wouldn't allow me to hide the condition of my teeth. From the first second I walked in, full of anxiety and already crying from fear of dentist .they took excellent care of me. Let's just say my teeth were as the kids say 'ratchet' wiggling and protruding out. They were completely unstable. I left that first visit with a plan to come back for several visits but I had a front tooth that was on it's way out and Dr. Hosseini tried to save it till the next visit with a splint but that tooth was defiant and popped out two days later. I called Dr. Hosseini cause OMG this is an emergency. She and Rachel consoled me over the phone and told me they would fit me in that day. I expressed to them my insecurities and in four days time I saw a Periodontist, did impressions, extractions and had my upper partial in. I must say this is not a normal turn around time but like I said it was an emergency. I will admit I was not the best patient fearful, impatient and slightly demanding but these ladies treated me with excellent care. Never once did I feel forced to have a procedure done I didn't want. Every part of the process was explained to me and one of the best parts they had headphones so I was able to listen to my music while Dr. Hosseini and Nicole worked on me. Her entire family and her all go here and are very happy with it. I was hesitant because I didnt know what to expect but all the girls here made me feel SO comfortable! Dr Hosseini is great. She always makes sure you're comfortable. I dragged my scared boyfriend along who has had a bad dental experience in the past. They gave him a few options and he has been very happy with being sedated during procedures. Nichole the assistant it awesome and Rachel is great and always makes all the billing and insurance easy to understand. I live in citrus heights and its a bit of a drive for me but its totally worth it. I actual enjoy going to the dentist and I wish everyone in the world were as nice as these ladies :) read more
