Of course, everything changed when baby boy arrived two months early, and Kevin let me know he could come to our home and shoot the photos whenever we were ready. Our most recent pictures were from our wedding years ago, so we decided to commemorate this year's anniversary with some updates. I was in search of a photographer whose talent would not rely on editing ability. Call me old-fashioned, but I feel like editing is an insult to real life. Heavy editing says that somehow the real moments--and the real people in the moments-- aren't good enough. We chose to work with Aaron because of his commitment to his craft. He pairs the proper tools with a healthy dose of patience to capture the genuine beauty of the moment rather than relying on photoshop editing. The photo shoot itself was casual and relaxed, just like Aaron and JoAnn themselves. We felt comfortable being ourselves and enjoyed visiting with them. There were moments when I forgot that the camera was even clicking. It's hard to describe, but I felt an unexpected rush of self-confidence as I examined the pictures. We looked great, and it was the real us. JoAnn's intuitive, practical, easy-going nature makes the reveal and selection process a pleasant experience. Since it had been about 4 yrs since the last time we took family photos, we decided we better get…read moresome done before the kids become grown! We found The Three Photography and decided to try them out since they offer specials and variety sessions. We chose a 45 min session at their location and found there were a lot of great options for many natural looking outdoor poses. Aubrey was great and we had a lot of fun. Thankfully my kids all love posing, so it was super quick and we were out of there in no time. About 3 weeks later we received a thumb drive in the mail and our photos online. Great overall experience. *Reduced to 3 stars because the resolution was very low on the majority of photos so we couldn't print them in larger sizes than 3x5 or 5x7. Some of the files were bad on the usb. We called to request a new one be mailed...haven't received yet...left a VM.

He's really great at making you comfortable and directing your poses for the camera. He knows how to get the best side of you. I loved all the moments he captured of me. We were outside on the square of Denton and he was able to get some great outdoor shots and he totally embraced the spontaneous moments. I'm not always great at smiling on command, but his demeanor was great and he knows how to get a good smile out of you.
