I went in the one on ladies Island. I had the teriyaki steak and shrimp plate and ate at home I got sick later that nite .This happened right before closing time. They say everything is fresh but the shrimp were kinda tough . Which doesn't happen to fresh seafood. My stomach was in so much pain until I threw up. Absolutely one of the best pizza places I've ever stumbled upon. We just left Parris Island after a graduation and our new Marine wanted pizza. It was imperative we got him the best pizza we could find since pizza isn't something they have in boot camp (amongst other things). We ordered the mozzarella sticks and fried mushrooms as our appetizer. They didn't have mozzarella sticks so instead, we got jalapeño poppers. I ordered the Sicilian pizza, a couple personal pizzas and a sub. All of our food was great but the pizza was over the top fabulous. Our waitress was the sweetest and our drinks were never empty. My husband even said we would easily drive back to visit again in the future. Overall, just wonderful! read more

Ordered a Greek salad with grilled chicken and I was very disappointed. It was just lettuce, sliced olives that you put on pizza, green bell pepper, white onions, two tomato slices, a small amount of feta and some diced pimentos. The grilled chicken was on top with some cheese melted on it. No cucumbers AT ALL. They gave me yum yum sauce and said it was a Greek dressing.....ugh a wasted $13.00! Where Italy meets Asia. Visiting Beaufort SC and this little establishment was recommended by a local. We thought what the heck , we like pizza and we like Asian fair . We ordered: Wings deep fried and crispy with a nice Buffalo sauce, Pot sticker's flavorful with a ginger sesame dipping sauce. Calzone "crust" was crisp with a nice chew, filling was plenty but I have to say it could have used a bit more ricotta. Service was quick, friendly and price's affordable. I ordered a large vegetarian pizza. I would compare it to a frozen Baron's Pizza one buys in the grocery store.

The menu's similar to other nearby Italian spots even as the environs--the hues, the flashy mod light fixture toward the back, the neon sign emblazoned with the place's name--seem to say 'not-your-grandmom's this-or-that.' But, what Ryan's Pizza seems to do quite cannily, is sort-of split the difference to appeal to real red sauce devotees, and diners for whom documentation is as important an appeal, all with warm hospitality.  The fritto di calamari and shrimp ($18) loosely coats both and fries them to their proper texture--adding a few halved brussels sprouts to the mostly squid mix. Paradoxically arriving at lightening speed, it seems a little fresher than some competitors, if a little skimpy on the crustacean at two to an order. read more

Pizza is lacking flavor and substance. They put on the bare minimum of toppings and cheese leaving the pizza with mostky sauce. Service is terrible. The owners pay their underage staff with personal checks ( no one is completing a W4 or I9) and claim taxes were taken out. Those employees have no paystub to verify that. I'm pretty sure this is tax evasion. Employees are not getting their tips either. Those are going to the kitchen staff ( related to the owners). So the recap: Bad pizza, Bad service and tax evasion . Ordered dinner there tonight and it was not a good experience. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, veggie fried rice, spring rolls and a cheese steak. We didn't get the spring rolls. The veggie fried rice was almost black. Probably too much soy sauce but it didn't taste like soy sauce, just kind of tasted burnt. The cheese steak had mayo on it, even though we asked for no mayo. The pizza was okay, my kids didn't like it though. Also, there was an 8yo boy working the register while all the other employees were sitting around. We ordered a jumbo New York pizza, 2 salads and cheesy bread sticks. Everything was exceptional! The salads were large and fresh. The breadsticks were cheesy and delicious. So being new to Beaufort I didnt have any expectations on the food. Ordering was easy. the lady on the phone was helpful and patient. We ordered a meatball bacon, onion pizza, A meatball sub, and a regular pepperoni calazone. The cost was about $35 so not bad. The pizza was a little small to me as a large and less crunchy than I prefer. The crust isnt thin crust and is soft on the bottom. The taste was there and toppings weren't skimpy! The sub was DELICIOUS and the calzone was a little dark and could it use little more ricotta. All all it's a good restaurant and delivery was under 1 hour. I would order from Ryans again. read more
