Food was good but our waitress treated us like we didn't even exist. Sat for 10 minutes before she showed up and just asked us what we wanted. We ordered and she gave us our food and not once came to check on us about it. Only about 10 min after dropping the food off she proceeds to just drop our check off. We were still very much eating and had not asked for the check. We paid and left without any other interaction from her besides dropping the check back off after we paid. They Turkey was a good grade Turkey. Oil Browned 2-3 piece whole breast muscle and no added starch or binders. The roll it can on was really good. The problem I had is all I could taste was the red onion and Italian Dressing. It might have as well been a vegetable Hoagie. Couldn't taste the meat at all. For the price you pay for it and using a premium turkey, I would have expected to at least tasted the turkey. The fries were garbage! Not that it was a bad fry. I am from Hilton Head, and though I moved away decades ago, I still dream about meals at Giuseppi's: so any time I get home, I try to visit either of their locations. On my recent visit I checked out the Bluffton location and was not disappointed: I ordered the turkey wedgie, side salad with ranch, garlic cheese bread, and a pizza, and all were tasty. Service was friendly and efficient (we ate early, like 5:30, because it does fill up fast! Be prepared to wait). The cheese bread didn't have quite the perfect gooey cheese coverage I remembered (was just ok), but everything else had the same great quality this restaurant has delivered since 1984. The ranch dressing is superb, and the wedgie is a must (and a unique dish!). I'd give 4.5 stars if I could, and I already can't wait for my next visit. read more

The Bluffton Guiseppes is not the same as the one in Hilton Head. Im not sure about other appetizers but I had the garlic bites at the Hilton Head restuarant and was served four times as much of the garlic bites as I was served at the Bluffton Giuseppes. They were bite sized so double dipping was not necessary. The Guiseppes in Bluffton served 1/4 the amount of bites and they were 3X the size, not bite sized. I was stunned at the smaller portion as appetizers are meant to be shared with your table. If u are a fan of the Garlic Bites like my husband and I...make the drive to the Hilton Head Guiseppes. Came here after dinner rush and the place was busy busy busy. Staff were hustling and doing a great job at keeping up with the takeout and dine in customers. 4 of us bellied up to the bar and our server was very friendly and attentive. When we ordered our server didn't write our order down and walked to a register to put it in and commented to a takeout person she'd be right with them she need to put an order in before she forgot it. Well she forgot it. We all ordered single slices, some antipasto , wings and an Italian combo with pasta salad. She forgot the sandwich however they got one out quick but it had fries instead of pasta salad.Everyone liked their meals. I wouldn't do individual slices again. The end crust was warm but the bottom crust was too floppy. The toppings were good but the pizza itself didn't hold together good enough and i ended up eating the toppings with a fork and skipping most of the dough. If i were to order pizza i would do a whole pizza and not single slice. That said the pizza was solid taste wise. The sandwich was good- way better than expected. I would come back as the food is good especially for the price. Next time I'll ask the server to write down our order. Not sure what happened yesterday, but ordered two Caesar Salads online with grilled chicken and dressing on the side. Pretty simple and easy right? Got home to find out they both had blackened chicken, a couple of slivers of cheese with stale croutons. Sadly, this was our final stop on our way to the Savannah airport. We hoped to stop at the Salty Dog in the outlets. Alas, they were closed for remodeling. After much deliberation, decided that it was early enough in the day for pizza. I ordered a side salad and two slices. My husband ordered the chicken parmesan. Our lovely waitress, Michelle, pointed out that there were lunch specials on the back of the menu which ended up being quite a bargain, especially as the drinks were included. Two scrumptious slices of pizza ended up being too much, so they gave me foil and I stuck the leftover piece in my tote. While in Bluffton, SC, we (meaning my wife) decided that we would give pizza another try in the Low Country. After checking the Yelp reviews, Giuseppi's was the winner. We ordered a Giuseppi's Special and a pepperoni pizza. The pizza took about 30 minutes to arrive to our table, which wasn't bad considering how busy they were. The toppings were good. I hate to sound like a broken record on most of my pizza reviews in SC, but the crust was just not good, very comparable to a frozen crust. I am not a chef, but I have enjoyed pizza all over the USA and parts of Italy and in my opinion the crust/dough is the secret to great pizza and I can't understand why the crust/dough in this area isn't very good. Their Mariana is very good too. Next up: The buffalo boneless wings. Crispy & Juicy. Best boneless wings to date. Next: The Chicken Parm Sub. Very flavorful. Did have some gristle but I'm a gristle snob so it does bother me but I just cut it off and resumed eating. Very good sub. Next: The White Pizza. The crust was light, not greasy. The flavors of the cheese and garlic married so well. Very good pizza. Not write home about it pizza but still a very good pizza. Last but never Least: The Service. The location on Hilton Head Island is my favorite pizza spot we've found so far. I had high hopes for this sister location since it's a lot closer to my home. Sadly, it's a far cry from the original. Given it a couple chances too. The Island location calzones are spectacular. These are borderline bland and inedible, except as something to fill your stomach. I usually go for taste and filling. Not getting it here. Pizza? Well, doesn't even compare. If they are sharing the same recipes then something has gotten garbled. The crust, ahh, the crust. Near perfection on HHI. This crust? Tastes like someone made a mistake. I won't describe it as horrible but you get my gist. I never throw the extra slices of a large pizza in the trash. Always save them. These went in the trash, untouched. I'd say that maybe I got there on a bad day but it's happened more than once. I've drawn my own conclusions, you can reach yours as well. In fairness I've never tried any of their other menu items so I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt and generously give 3 stars for the menu selection, ambience, etc. But if you're looking for an awesome pizza?
