My instructor, Casey, is very helpful and high energy which makes the class more fun for everyone. For what a great workout it is, the prices are not bad and they offer many great packages. Overall I would highly recommend Power Ryde for a fun workout lead by friendly and encouraging staff.

I've always been a bit skeptical when trying new spin studios because I'm the type of person who really needs a tough workout to make me sweat. You DEFINITELY get this at Power Ryde. The real Ryder bikes move from side to side so not only are you working your legs but your entire upper body as well. When you take a class with Casey, it's a guarantee you'll be sweating within minute of moving your legs. Her high energy, upbeat classes are not only fun, but one of my favorite workouts each week. I ignored the warnings and for the first year or two, this location proved everyone wrong. It was welcoming, clean, and genuinely enjoyable. The staff were fantastic, and the general manager, Lorette, was exceptional: accommodating, kind, professional, and clearly invested in creating a positive environment. Then corporate energy showed up. Over the last 4-5 months, this gym has taken a sharp turn downhill. Whoever is calling the shots above the GM level seems determined to dismantle everything that actually worked. Great, experienced staff were pushed out and replaced with undertrained, disengaged employees, and the entire vibe shifted from friendly and community-oriented to cold and transactional. The few long-term employees who remain deserve medals. They're basically holding together a shipwreck with good attitudes and professionalism, and it's obvious they care--despite leadership making their jobs harder than necessary. The newest round of hires gives some hope, but let's be real: hope doesn't fix bad leadership. If the people in charge continue prioritizing numbers over people, this gym is going to lose what made it special. Corporate may not notice from their offices, but members do and many of us won't stick around forever.

I suggested that they add another class/instructor but they seem to be saying that that was also not possible. I probably won't be staying around long since this is the way they run things. No ill toward anybody, it's just not a good way to do business.

It's tucked away in a small plaza next to a spa on Beechmont, but there is plenty of parking out front. There are many rotating spinning teachers for this studio and they are all great, especially the owner of the studio, Tami. She is fantastic! She really cares about everyone that comes to the studio and that is sometimes hard to find. Also the studio is relatively inexpensive compared to most places. A monthly unlimited spinning membership is only $50! What a great deal! I can only speak to spinning, but I thoroughly enjoy the classes and they're a maximum of 10 people, which keeps it intimate. They're not fancy bikes, but they get the job done. Towels are provided if you need one (and you will!) You can clip into the bikes with SPD cleats if you have them, or use the cages with any type of tennis shoe.

They marked pretty much every available sqft in the room to make sure as many people would fit as possible. There wasn't even enough room for the instructor to demonstrate the exercises which makes the class hard to follow. And Pilates isn't really Pilates without proper instruction. There's also barely any parking so i recommend arriving 10-20 minutes early to find some. Really the heat was the best part of the class other than that i would not recommend until they decrease the class sizes and offer more yoga classes instead of just hot Pilates all day which is why I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of 1.
