Before calling Rydell I tried calling the Jeep dealer in town. After multiple phone calls with no answer I called the Rydell service department and was told to come on in. Rudy and his crew in service bay 4 were wonderful! Went in to get my tires switched to nitrogen. Hung out and chatted while I watch the machine do its thing! All the guys were super nice! I didn't have an appointment and I was in and out in 15 min. I will be coming back here for all the service my Cherokee needs! For service, just take it to your local small mechanic because if you have questions you can't even talk to their mechanics. Also they overcharge on everything, it will feel like you got scammed when you walk out of there for anything in the service department. They charge $187 just to code read your vehicle when you could just take it to a Napa and they'll do it for free. read more

I have a 2024 Chevy Duramax 3500 that was purchased this year. Recently had an issue where it would start anymore. Got it towed to Rydell Chevy. They called back and said water had gotten in the front end and fried the fuse block. I was told of some other issues that happened due to water and freezes but it was all covered under warranty. 2 days later I got a call saying because of "environmental" issues, it's not covered under my warranty. There is a manufacturer defect where was is let in through the front of my truck and in turn freezes off engine components. Yet this is not covered under warranty?! Am I not allowed to drive my truck in the slushy cold? This has now happened 3 times in grand forks and 6 in minot for this style truck, yet Chevy doesn't cover anything. When you buy a vehicle, they love to sell you on "bumper to bumper" coverage then fight you on every repair. 2024 truck should have everything covered under warranty especially a manufacturer defect read more

Clean, fast, friendly, nice, online check in and booking for oil change service thats very fast, free Starbucks hot drinks and a variety of cold drinks from a fountain, and courtesy ride back to your destination if needed. It was worth the $75 for my oil change. The waiting room is huge and clean and you can relax and sip your chai latte and drink something cold if it's hot. Plus a free car wash. I want to hear because I had a shake in my truck I couldn't figure out if it was front or back end. I was told that they may or may not get to my vehicle even though I had an appointment well over a week in advance. They said the appointment was just to get on the list. I don't know what kind of bullshit that is but anyways I complained and he called me back and said there's nothing wrong with your truck. I had the service guy look at it took it for a drive found nothing wrong. I took it immediately to northwest tire they looked at it and said my tires were separating. The radials were separating. Good thing for Rydell I didn't get in an accident. And one of my friends bought a car there. And found it had some damage on it of course they wouldn't return her call after they got her to sign. Collision Center repairs were great - can't even tell where the dent was and the tiny chip in my windshield is barely noticeable. I also had a full interior and exterior detailing done. The initial result was so-so. There was cleaning residue left on several places inside the car and plenty of bug guts left on my front bumper. I had expected better results for what I paid. When I spoke to the Detail Center about this, they had me bring my car right back in (the day I picked it up originally they were closed) and set about making it better - when I picked it back up, the residue and bug guts were gone. So they made it right in the end and now my car looks great and I'm satisfied but it was a hassle to bring the car back for follow-up cleaning. read more

I've taken my car to get washed here 2-3 times now and while the car wash is fine, the vacuums suck at sucking and I can't get the interior clean at this place. I guess they just want you to pay the $100+ it will cost to have them detail it for you, but why even offer the free vacuums if they don't do the one job they're designed to do. read more

I bought my car in California and I am visiting Grand Forks and needs my at serviced. The lobby serves snacks and drinks while you wait, there is free wifi, and all of the customers have a genuine smile on their face. Including those shopping for vehicles. Which says a lot- they are not being swarmed. I am highly impressed at their willingness to accommodate. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation and I asked if they would check a couple of other things that I hadn't mentioned on the phone before hand and I they were happy to do it. Worst service ever! Brought my vehicle in for warranty issues and they forgot to attach the cooling fan. I ended up being stuck on the side of the road with my car overheating. Took it back in and the service manager Ned was dismissive and rude. Will not be using their services again. read more

I took my Buick to Rydell Collision center because I wanted to make sure that it had authentic parts and professional repairs. They gave me an estimate that I thought was high but..... I wanted to make sure that my car was "done right". They gave me a $7,000 estimate and had me sign a paper that said that if something else came up I would cover the cost. Final cost: almost $15,000. And that's not all that I am unhappy with. Five days after I dropped my car off, I called in to see how things were going. They had not ordered parts for the (unknown damage) because they had my car under the wrong name and could not call my insurance company. Almost four weeks later they finished with my car! I picked it up and it was dirty with some kind of black dust all over a white car. The car was still wet inside and out. I think that part of the problem was that I am a woman. I hope so. Bottom Line. These people have a great upfront operation. Nice waiting room free drinks, great looking professional estimates. Take your car somewhere else if you want to feel good when the job is done. read more

10/18/14 - Went to Rydell PDQ to have my tires rotated. They let us leave with three lug nuts missing and the tire not even tightened (with the two lug nuts remaining). Luckily, we drove out and right back to the door. We could have been seriously injured with their carelessness. Their only task was to rotate tires and they failed. I am very disappointed with their service and attitude toward our situation. They need to take more pride and care in the work they perform. Their customer safety and satisfaction should be their #1 priority. To rectify the situation, they offered us a free oil change and car wash. They need to provide assurance for ALL customers on EVERY visit to their business for any type of service. This was our second serious mishap within a couple years with the same PDQ manager on staff. The first time they let us leave the oil change bay without oil in our car. It was an oil change, how do you not put OIL in the car? Step it up Rydell before someone gets seriously injured. Have had nothing but issues with this vehicle and service from day one when we custom ordered it and they got several features wrong and has never achieved even close to stated MPG (known issue). Then brought it in to fix the camera within warranty, which they claimed was fixed...but wasn't and when we returned it a week later confirming issue is still occurring, they didn't cover it under the warranty despite it being their problem (so we paid for it). Then the issue with the backup lines on the camera (reported in first and second time brought in) is still not fixed. Had numerous sensors go out throughout which were thankfully under bumper-to-bumper warranty, but unfortunately we don't have that protection from this lemon anymore. Then had to overhaul the motor due to known issue all over the internet with oil consumption that wasn't recalled or reported to us when we brought it in -- and not fixed the first two times we brought it in despite it having consumed all the oil in less than one oil change (even their own service techs couldn't believe they hadn't diagnosed or done a consumption test). Now there's an emissions issue with the motor which isn't covered by the active powertrain warranty. Because apparently engine emissions aren't part of the powertrain. Chevy's done a good job of re-emerging in the market, but our vehicle and the service has been a piece of absolute garbage. Wont ever buy Chevy again and unfortunately everyone willing to listen will get an earful about both the product and the local service. Would have already offloaded this on some other poor person stupid enough to buy a Chevy except we have a freeze on any loans while we close on our house. Too bad, small things that could have been handled right the first time but I guess you guys made your choices, and we'll make ours. read more

I was told to make an appointment for my car so they would be able to get it in just for a diagnostic of what could be going on with it. Two days later, 4 phone calls, 2 messages left for the case worker to please call me with an update. Nothing! Ugh! Finally, the third day after pleading to talk to someone about my car I was put through. Guess what, she was so rude!!! So much for buying a vehicle there or going there for service. When I tell people of my experience the response I get, "that's Rydell for you". Ugh! Wish I had known! read more

Have been loyal to Rydell with the purchase of vehicles, service and oil changes. Two months ago I had the oil changed on a vehicle at the Rydell PDQ. Shortly after we started to have problems with the check engine light coming on. Last week I brought the vehicle in to have the check engine light looked at. It turns out the wrong oil filter was used (by Rydell PDQ) which caused the check engine light to come on. Rydell refused to take ownership of the mistake. We had to pay for the entire repair and new filter. We will no longer be going to Rydell for any future purchases, repairs or oil changes. read more

HORRIBLE. Brought my car there at 9 am. I live an hour away and they called me at 4 pm saying they didn't even touch my car. The guy who helped me made me feel like it happens all the time and my time didn't mean anything to him. He said there were supposedly "20 cars leftover from yesterday that haven't been touched". But et there were cars pulling in to still have time to get fixed!!!! Told me to schedule ANOTHER apt and make the 2 hour round trip again. I am livid!! Great place! I bought a new car from them and the price was great! I love how the sales people aren't packs of wolves and will let you look at cars without being bothered. I was sitting in the lobby waiting for some paperwork to be completed and I was asked if I had been helped by every person that worked there that walked by me. Made me feel good. I definitely recommend buying from these guys. They have a waiting area with free drinks ad cookies and free Ipad's to use which I thought was top notch. And there car wash is great! The dryers aren't the best but better than anybody else's. But be careful with the packages because I went to buy the unlimited wash 30 day package and I was told I can only get that package once and that once the 30 days was up I would have to buy a 3 month package from now on. I'm traveling across the country (from Las Vegas NV) Went to have my tires rotated at Honda. Found out I had a lug nut that had been cross-threaded! Honda could not repair it because they were too busy. I stopped in at the Chevrolet dealer, with my fingers crossdd, and that's where I met my savior Zac (Zak?)! They were very busy when I rolled in at 2:30 but he had me come back at 4. During that time he contacted Honda to get the details on the problem, located parts and called me to let me know they had everything and would be ready for me. Were they ever! They had to remove the hub to fix the post and had it all done and rotated my tires (my request) in less than an hour! Took my work truck there for a oil change, was the must disorganized experience ever. Seems like they have 20 kids running around playing games in quick service bays. Being I didn't own the truck I told them they would have to bill the lease company and you thought I asked them to do it for free. They had about 300 questions to ask about billing when I gave them the paper on how to do it. Once the oil change was done no one told me so I sat there a extra 20mins wondering what was taking so long. Then to top it off they rotated my tires and never re trained the wheels so when I had I low tire I had to play the guessing game on which one it was. Won't be back to this place. read more

I was just told by another dealer that I need my entire shifting column replaced. When I called Rydell to request information regarding the first time I had it replaced, they had ZERO records of it. This was my first experience with a Rydell dealership and I wasn't impressed. The Hyundai (Goldsboro), Mitsubishi (Fargo), and the Chevy dealership (the one in Goldsboro) all cleaned my car inside and out before giving it back. That didn't happen at Rydell. Also John didn't listen to the exterior issues that I wanted looked at, and that led to delays and confusion with the body shop. I had to come to the dealership and dive the car the 50 feet to get an estimate...to me that is not acceptable and in no way says customer service. I also asked about the recalls and I was told that it would not be until March before they can fix the issues. One is a safety issue with possible bad welds in the driver seat. I'll continue to have warranty service done there, but I think I'll travel outside G.F. to purchase or lease our next GM vehicle. read more

Purchased my first vehicle through Rydell and what started as a good experience, ended terribly. I chose to buy from Rydell in grand forks instead of the local Fargo dealer because the salesman made the distance worth it. Three weeks after having the car I received a phone call from them stating I never paid and they need a check. Rather than taking blame for losing the check, they decided to put the blame on me. Regardless, I had both checks cancelled and sent them two new ones. After sending them I called twice, leaving two voicemails to have them call me back when they received my checks. One of the two calls I was placed on hold while the receptionist was talking to the person I was looking to get ahold of. After taking me off hold I was forwarded to his number and sent straight to voicemail, which makes me believe he filtered my call and would rather not talk to me after finding out who was on the line. In the end, they did receive my checks but never once apologized for the inconvenience they caused. The only call back I received was because I had someone go directly to the gentleman's office to tell him to his face to give me a call. It is safe to say I will never be purchasing from Rydell again. I would have paid more to go elsewhere if I knew this was the customer service I would have received. read more

I stopped going to Rydells for a long time. When I finally upgraded to a newer vehicle, is when I decided to go there once again and see if anything has changed. Unfortunately for me it hasn't. I got an oil change done on Friday and Sunday is when my check engine light came on, saying Oil pressure sensor. With my vehicle it needs a special oil filter otherwise it'll flag the check engine light. I called Rydells and they told me to bring it over. Now, I am a women and felt belittled as if I didn't know what I was talking about. I know my check engine light was on for an Oil pressure sensor. With Oil pressure sensors they are very sensitive, if you accidentally hit or bump the sensor it can break the brackets and flag the check engine light. I told them that my car was bought from Finley Motors and they replaced a lot of stuff, which was also the oil pump, sensor and other things. Therefore, I know they aren't the problem. The vehicle was also running excellent. They told me they could do a diagnostic on which I would have to pay for. I felt as a company such as Rydells would even say that. Usually if you get something done and it isn't to spec they should fix with no cost. I am mad that my vehicle had no problems with it till I entered Rydells. They have no idea what they are talking about, brought my vehicle here and all they did was listen to the noise and they said I had a piston problem, brought it to another business and they took time on the vehicle and did a diagnostic on it and revealed it was a bad lifter! This is a $3000 difference! Stay away they are almost like a scam! Need to know what the problem is instead of guessing and wasting customers time! Currently trying to purchase a car from these guys. In the past when I have purchased vehicles from other dealers, I leave with the vehicle that same day. It's been over a week and every day they say they'll start the paper work that day and have me come in to sign once it's written up. I got sick of waiting today and decided to get the loan through my bank instead, which took ten minutes. Except I needed rydell to fax the purchase agreement and VIN to my bank, which took all day and me calling twice to remind them. And the interest rate at my bank is 3% lower than rydell's. So I'll be making payments for ten less months than I would have if I went through rydell. The sales guy was vey unprofessional throughout the entire process, never got anything done in a timely manner, never could answer my questions and would have to ask coworkers or said he would call me back when he knew, then never call. Worst car buying experience I've ever had. I will never give them my business again. read more

I wonder how they stay in business. They mark up all their vehicles to exactly at what KBB/NADA say "clean retail" even if the car is coated in rust. They say they dont use nada/kbb..that they determine their vehicle price through other means..that must be a coincidence then. I wish i could get one of the employees to show me the numbers on the vehicles.When i showed them my car, they said it was "really good". Then decided to give me below " rough trade-in".Just throw the lowest number kbb and say take it or leave it. No negotiating... That's Rydell business for ya. Over pricing every vehicle...low balling anything you want to trade. No negotiating bceause they give you the "best price" so you dont have to deal with the hassle. When a vehicle isn't "clean" it's covered in rust and has extremely high mileage.. it isn't "clean" and shouldn't be marked that way. Perks of being the biggest dealer in town I suppose; low balling any chum walking in through those doors of hell.. preying on the unsuspecting, and expecting you to pay top dollar for average vehicles. 1/5 --would not attempt-- read more
