I took my vehicle in to Grand Forks Jiffy Lube for an oil change three weeks ago. Afterwards, I…read morenoticed oil spots on both my garage floor and on my driveway. I initially assumed the oil resulted from the Jiffy Lube personnel not completely wiping off the frame below the oil filter, where old oil could have remained. When the (fresh) oil spots continued after 3 weeks, I crawled under the vehicle and found that the oil plug was loose and could be turned with my fingers! There was fresh oil on the oil pan as well. I grabbed my wrench, tightened the plug and went to Jiffy Lube to complain. They said, since I broke their blue seal on the oil plug, they could do nothing for me, and they implied that "I could have loosened the plug myself and let some oil out". They were rude and condescending, and apparently didn't believe that I would go to all the trouble to put on dirty clothes, run the vehicle up my own ramps at home, ascertain what the problem was, and then take the time to drive back to their establishment and complain about this terrible service. I told them that I would never come back again because I wouldn't trust them to do the job right. Their failure to properly tighten the plug could've resulted in damage to my engine!

Thunder rays was very courteous the whole time and worked as quick as possible to correct the issue. Thunder rays even went out of their way to talk to the other repair shop to get them to foot the bill for the issues they created when they tried to fix the car in the first place. Saved her from having to pay a potentially enormous bill, saved alot of money! Will absolutely be returning and will tell others to come here with any vehicle issues!

This was about 4PM on a Sunday She looked in her book and told me which one I needed. I brought the battery over to her at the register and told her that the terminals on my current battery have different style terminals. I told her this 3 times and finally said she would look at the one in my car. She took one look and said "ya that's an H5". I went in and purchased the battery. She started walking away and I asked when the earliest was that they could get me in for the instillation. She said flatly "Tomorrow" and started walking away from me again. I asked specifically if I needed to make an appointment or was this going to be a walk in. She said that they don't do appointments for batteries. That I just show up with the battery and they would put it in. I work 9-5 so my wife took my car in to have the battery installed. My wife took the car there at about 2PM and was told after waiting for some time to anyone to show up that they have 4 cars in the shop. That they weren't going to be doing any more today. According to this shop, they don't close until 6PM. They told my wife that I or my wife needs to bring in my car at 7AM the next day or it can't be done. My wife asked what if we can't bring in the car that early. The person my wife was speaking to just shrugged and walked off. She waited there for over 20 minutes before she left and not one employee acknowledged her existence. I had to drive to the next Walmart which is not that close to get this battery installed. My old battery had failed 2-3 times already before I bought this battery. I needed this battery installed that day!

It was a refurbished alternator and a piece of junk according to a mechanic in Mpls. Save your money and go ANYWHERE except Firestone. An alternator should last more than 8 months. Ridiculous.

However, they were the last ones to touch the plug. No one else had been near it. Further, I recently learned that someone else in my community noticed oil on their driveway within a day of their oil change, but Valvoline has denied responsibility for that one as well. DO NOT trust the Valvoline in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

You didn't even try and sell me one you are just trying to shove it down my throat !! I said Fuck you I am not buying your warranty unless It's a manufacture warranty they hardly ever cover the problem . He then tells me my proof of income is Fake I printed it off my ADP app then he denies it's real. I was Fuming . I am going to tell the Manager you won't take the warranty . Fine I said go ahead he storms out comes back in and just starts saying sign here sign here I didn't buy the warranty because it wasn't a Factory issued Ford Warranty. The next day I go put the truck on a scanner at the auto part's store the Engine didn't sound normal. The cleared 6 factory Codes and didn't repair them . I went back the next Day The GM was gone that day too because the big Blizzard was about to hit . What a work schedule no wonder this store has the ratings I just looked at. They tell me they won.t fix anything it's about $2,500.00 to replace Cam Phasers they said we can unwind it and you keep your trades . I made such a good deal on them trading in a 2 wheel drive truck and a Hybrid accord I bout new for same price they gave me on trade that I just drove my new 4x4 home through the blizzard. A WEEK GOES BUY AND THERE ARE $259.00 CHARGES ON MY DEBIT CARD foe Food . Josh Nesdahl made a copy of my license and debit card this guy is a thief and I feel the whole Corporation are the typical slimy sleezy sales people who where I live in Arizona it is not allowed at a corporate level here . They also said it would be unsafe to drive so I called into work since I wouldn't be able to leave town. I used their messaging system to ask for updates and finally 4 days later I got someone on the phone who said it would actually be another 10 days before they have the parts they need. They then said I could come get the car and just bring it back once the part arrives. So I was stuck in Grand Forks for days thinking my car was unsafe to drive when in reality I could've taken it the day it was dropped off. I had a second opinion done at another shop and they found NO PROBLEM. They did try to buy the car off me and get me in something newer about 5 times during this process though!

I dropped it off on a Thursday and received no update until I called them the following Monday. They told me my car was ready to go and they had tried to call that Friday however I have no missed call or voicemail. When I picked up my car they said their technician couldn't recreate the issue and my belts are fine. Unfortunately I had to take my keys, and drop off my rental before coming back to take my car afterhours. I should have started it up when I got my keys because after returning immediately the squealing was present and only got worse after I drove. I left them a voicemail immediately asking them to call me back so we can resolve this issue. A full week has passed with no word from them. TLDR: I paid $107 for an oil change I didn't ask for, my issue was unresolved, and they need to get their ears checked because my belt is still singing!
