They did not have the truck I reserved a month in advance there ready for me so they had to give me a different rental. When I dropped off the truck and keys the person working did not take 5 minutes to properly check the gas and mileage so I was overcharged for the truck. I waited over 30 minutes at the store for someone to help me correct the amount my credit card was overcharged and I left with the problem still unresolved. Horrible customer service.

The lady proceeded to let me know that there was a 50/50 chance of me getting my truck the next day and I could show up and not have a truck. She let me know that there was very little to do and I could call back later and ask for any updates. I am very disappointed with their unprofessionalism and bad management. If you're in Chicago invest in the smaller truck rental companies who guarantee your reservation. They're more cost effective, more reliable and you can support smaller businesses.

When we asked him is there were any other options available at his location, he said we would have to look it up online ourselves and he said he had already canceled our reservation. This was during a move when we had moving crew paid for and elevators reserved. Reservations not honored and the manager is rude and awful. It is shocking that U-Haul continues to contract with this man.

They actually switched it to July 1st in the evening. When we called to let them know that we cannot use the truck in the evening, and they sent us to a service line where we waited for 2 hours. The only nice person was the man on the other end of the service call who fixed it for us. Then, we also rented a unit within their 24/7 rental FACILITY and we could not access the rental unit after the place had closed. So, we had to extend our reservation until the morning and had to find a place to park in Chicago with a big cargo van. When we went this morning to drop stuff off in storage, they straight up told us that their units within the office building are not open 24/7. So, this is very much so false advertising. If I had the money for lawyer fees, I would be suing.

He had me send him pictures of the puncture, and when it was clear he couldn't repair it safely, he helped me understand my options as far as getting the spare on and replacing the tire. He was so helpful and kind, even though I didn't even buy anything from him!
