I recently moved and needed to get my Tonal workout equipment reinstalled at the new house. Should be simple enough I thought. Well it's not. Tonal/Ryder takes forever to even allow scheduling. So a month after the request, my installation day arrives. It's odd that Ryder said they'd call or email an arrival window but I never get one. So I call and they say it looks like the installation equipment didn't make the truck so we need to reschedule and a week from today is the soonest. Good grief! I didn't even need the installation packet! I literally need a body to come put this thing on my wall. Not to mention, the woman in customer service I talked to clearly HATED that I called. I was very nice and respectful and all she had to give me was attitude. I could hear her frowning and rolling her eyes through the phone. I needed to rent a truck for moving on Friday April 27th, and I wanted something that was affordable, at least 16 feet long, and was available here for an in town move. After calling around to a few different places, I was surprised at how good Ryder's truck prices were. I made a reservation over the phone with a girl at the Tempe location for a one way move and a drop off at their Phoenix location. She was so friendly and explained how their rental process works. Ryder charges by the day. $54 some odd dollars, plus mandatory insurance, and about .29 cents a mile. She quoted me about $100, and that was great! My final bill was $106 and some change. They have a variety of trucks to choose from! They have 16 and 24 foot box trucks, metro vans and quite a few other larger vehicles as well. I reserved a 16 foot truck, and went to pick it up on Friday, and it was huge! Truck was in great shape, and it even came with an automatic lift! I was impressed! (take THAT stupid U haul! you and your stupid ramps can go to hell! lol) We got to the rental location right at 6:30 am when they opened. They had a 16 foot truck, but told us that it had no air conditioning and was going to be an hour before it was ready because the headlight had to be replaced. They offered us a 24 foot truck for the same price, but that was wwwaaaayyyyy to big for me! They also said that if we didn't want to wait the hour, we could go to Glendale and get the 16 foot truck from them, but I said no, it would take more time to drive and get back, so Austin waited for it to be ready. I asked for a slight discount and they took a few dollars off the bill for the inconvienience. It literally took 1 hour to the minute! We both were impressed that their time quote was right on, so high 5 to them. Plus, they gave us options which was nice of them as well. Being that its not that hot outside right now, we decided to take the truck with no AC so it was no big deal to us. The guy behind the counter was wonderful. He was professional, treated us with respect, and seemed to know what he was doing. The rental process only took a few minutes, I signed some paperwork and I was on my way. The truck itself was clean, full of gas, and had an automatic power lift gate on the back. This makes loading so much easier! If you need to do a move in town, please, forget Uhaul and come here. The ONLY downside to ryder truck is that they don't rent moving dollys! I deducted a star for this, as its important to have for heavy items. If they did dolly rental, they would have received the extra star. read more

I ordered a bed from Pottery Barn which apparently uses this company for their deliveries. I haven't once been able to speak with a representative. I cancelled the delivery almost 2 months ago as I moved out of state and they don't deliver across state lines. They do not answer the phones, the voicemail is full. Horrible company and customer service doesn't seem to exist. I got an automated call this morning that they would be delivering within twenty minutes. This company is a complete joke and should be shut down permanently. read more

Ryder Last Mile is the worst company ever! I have never worked with a company that is more incompetent. I ordered a Pottery Barn Chloe bed on Labor Day weekend and now 3 months later I have finally given up and had to cancel the order. Their customer service is awful. It took forever to get anyone on the phone. No one responds to emails. Ryder lost the slats/side rails and had to get replacements per my request and follow-up. Then they lost the headboard. They missed four delivery attempts because they either lied or couldn't "find" these items. No one takes any accountability and they constantly blame someone else. Buyer beware! Do NOT ever buy furniture from Pottery Barn because you'll have to deal with these dipshits. Never again!!! read more

I found Ryder once when looking for a lift-gate truck for a long-haul, round trip. Since then I have NEVER used UHaul, Penske, or any other truck rental company. Ryder is reasonably priced, the trucks are always in great mechanical order, and they will negotiate the pricing on the mileage! Here's a little known trick: for a weekend moving job, rent the truck after 12 noon on Friday. The store closes at noon on Saturday, so the 24 hour rental is due back by MONDAY morning!! I bought a sectional sofa a rug and a media console from arhaus. They contracted Ryder last mile to deliver the items. They were supposed to deliver all 3 items a couple of weeks ago. They only showed up with the sectional, and I was told that they do not know where the rug and the media console are. It is also super hard to reach them. Their customer service is terrible. If I do not get my items within the next couple days, I will have to schedule a return with arhaus. read more

Don't look at U-Haul for your local move kids; rent from Ryder! Best prices and better trucks! Reserve online and they usually have some sort of online discount available. I have rented from Ryder for my last three moves and I won't go or recommend anywhere else. The staff has been friendly and helpful and the prices are straightforward, unlike U-Haul where it seems like you're getting a good deal until the end where they get you with all the additional fees slapped onto your bill. read more

If I could give no stars I would! I placed an order through West Elm on May 4 for a Bench, 2 Piece Sectional, & 4 Piece Sectional. West Elm contracted with Ryder Last Mile whom Received the Items on June 2. They decided since I'd placed another order they would hold my items until the other pieces arrived that way they'd only have to make one delivery. Which I think is absurd considering I paid separate Delivery Fees for Home Delivery for both orders. When they finally received the items from both orders I was out of town for Two Weeks. When I contacted them regarding Scheduling I was told I had to wait 14 Days after Air Travel before my furniture could be delivered. Since I Travel frequently I wasn't able to Schedule my Delivery until August 26th. I made special arrangements to not travel for 14 Days so that I could receive the Delivery for Ryder Last Mile. I received Voicemail, Text, & Email the day prior to my Delivery confirming the Delivery and Time. The morning I was supposed to receive the Delivery I instead received a call around 10:00 AM stating that the Delivery Drive was unwell and wouldn't be able to deliver my Furniture. I explained my predicament and was told that they would speak to the Manager then give me a call back. They never returned the call, I tried calling them leaving 3 Voicemail but never heard back from them. Then 3 Days later I received an email asking me to reschedule both Deliveries. I Scheduled them for September 22nd, the soonest available, which I once again had to make Special Arrangements for traveling that way I'd be able to receive the Delivery. I again received a Voicemail, Text, & Email confirming Delivery & Time. They were supposed to arrive between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM while waiting I received a Call around 11:00 AM stating they wouldn't be able to deliver my Furniture because they've misplaced it. I was told they were doing a Dock Check but they'd reach out to me once they had more information. It's been almost 2 Weeks now I've yet to hear anything back. I've called 3 Times Daily leaving Voicemails but still have yet to get a response. I've filed a claim with their Corporate Office which has done nothing to help locate my items. I've filed a claim with West Elm which has also done nothing to help locate my items. I placed this order 5 Months ago for these items. I've been trying to Schedule Delivery for the last 4 Months. I've done my best to be patient but at this point I'm at my wits end. We are suppose to have Family coming into town which I've had to turn away now. I've spent Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars at West Elm, Pottery Barn, & William Sonoma. I've always used them to furnish all our homes. Now I'm to the point I will never use these companies ever again because of this experience. I'm apparently not the only one whose had these issues. There's been server all with the same complaint!
