I have gone to Dana tires for years and spent thousands of dollars there on all our family vehicles. I thought it would be important to support local Chandler businesses. They seem to do fine when nothing was needed in a hurry. Today, I went there after a blowout. I had the replacement tire and just needed someone to switch tires. All it would take was 15 minutes and they basically said they were too busy to help me--they blew me off. Next time when I need to get new tires on a vehicle, I'm going to go elsewhere-- Chandler Tire Pros helped me out this time. They will get my business next time read more

Their waiting room is miserable! I have dreaded coming to get my oil changed. This may be the last time I do it here just for the fact that it feels awful in the waiting room. The thermostat is set to 90 degrees! I do not want to sweat while I'm wait for an oil change which always seems to take forever here. Staff is friendly. I have been coming here for years, but again waiting too long, and the waiting room are not worth it. read more

I was definitely very satisfied and happy with the service that I got at Dana Tire. I can see why there are people who have gone here for years. I actually found them through the Yelp reviews and after comparing their reviews and prices to three other places I decided to bring my car here. It was a bonus that they are only about two blocks from my AZ home so it was an easy walk home and back again today. The price was fair, total was about $125. I thought I was going to need an alignment because the steering wheel was jerking when I drove. They took one look and immediately spotted the front left tire had tread separation. I didn't need an alignment after all As long as I had it in there I asked them if they could check the cooling system, radiator, hoses, etc because I occasionally smell a hot water smell but they looked at that and everything checked out okay. I also asked them to check out the brakes which make a slight noise when I'm braking but seem to work fine and they said the brakes were good and just made a little noise because they were old . It's very important to me to have a car that drives safely since I transport my grandchildren frequently so I feel very reassured now that the wheel has been replaced and the cooling system and brakes checked out. The person who worked on the car was Wade. He answered all my questions, did not make me feel like a dumb broad, and explained the work he did . I would not hesitate to go back here again and feel confident to recommend them to others. read more

Not sure about these guys. I took my car here, twice. Both times I asked for service on certain things and straight-up didn't receive it. It wasn't like they charged me for anything they didn't do, but they just seemed to be more about getting the car in and out the door instead of doing what I asked. The first time I just wanted the 50,000 mile service, y'know the deal in the owner's manual. Well, they pretty much just changed the oil and even left a dirty air filter in. I figured I'd give them the benefit of the doubt since it was a (maybe) busy Friday and plus, they're walking distance from my house; so, I gave them another shot. The second time, I came in with a 3x5 card detailing everything I wanted done and made sure the fella understood, as I was going driving cross-country. He said it'd all be done (This was the 57,000 mile thing) and apologized for leaving a dirty air filter in the time prior, that he'd fix it. He did for free, which was nice. Anyway, an hour and a half later I got a call that they were finished. The mechanic said he looked at a lot of stuff himself, but some other guys did stuff on my list and checked off what they did and put it in the car. When I got the list, only one thing was checked and they even put "N/A" next to "check fuel filter". Were they saying the car had no fuel filter? Because it does and I'm not getting why it couldn't be checked. What about the other items? Again, they didn't charge me for anything they didn't do; at least I don't think so, as it was like $70... but I'm just not sure what they didn't do (did they have time to rotate the tires, or?...et cetera). I didn't say a limit on how much I wanted to spend and I was willing to wait all day for the car to be done, so I just don't understand. It's a weird place, and I'm not into it. I guess I'm gonna have to hike further down the road from my house to get the car looked at; oh well. read more

I'm seriously dropping Dana Tire big time! When I last had my car in, they told me my brakes were at 30%...I interpreted that to "fix brakes with next service." They replaced 4 tires for me and we discussed changing my shocks and struts, possibly with next service. Not an urgent thing for me to do. More of a nice to have. Weeelll, I held off on next service, so finally had to get it done and went to Brake Masters because I figured I would let them do my brakes. Brake Masters told me...your brakes are fine...it's your struts. And I don't have shocks. Additionally, my tires were significantly out of balance. Something I was suspicious of after Dana replaced the tires, but wasn't quite sure because I figured shocks and struts needed to be done...but I don't have shocks! Anyway, Dana clearly did not balance after replacing my tires and I don't know whose car they were refering to when they said the brakes were at 30% and that my struts had shocks and could wait (my right front strut had a nice leak in it). Brake Masters got a ton of money out of me...I also had to replace a fuel pump...but they appear to actually check my car and know which one they are talking about. read more

I first went here after researching them a little bit; I tend to distrust big companies as the will charge you too much, or do unreliable work. This is a family owned business who are very honest and trusting. I took my car here when I needed to get a fuel line fixed. Funny thing is, I got it fixed... then within a few days it started leaking fuel again! Well I was actually pretty furious and I went back to them, but they cleared it up free of charge and it was a simple mistake. Since then I have taken my car in for them to put a custom cold air intake in the car and they did an excellent job, the marksman ship is wonderful. I guess the moral is, if they do something wrong, you TELL them and they will resolve it. read more

I've had my brakes done there and my fiance likes going there. She starts off by asking something like. Worst case scenario, how much to replace my entire brake system? Then she'll ask, how much to just replace my back brakes? My fiance knows cars and their service manuals and rates for work, and she said the prices are fair. Last year I treated myself to a 2004 Lexus SC430 with 36K original miles, it was the same make and model of a car I previously owned and loved. The car was as clean as the day it first arrived at the dealership, pristine. Fast forward a year and my tire sensor light came on. Took it to the dealership who advised that I needed to replace all four tires and tire sensors. The tires were worn plus based on the age they needed to be replaced. What I did have any issue with is that they wanted $385 per sensor. I was informed by the service writer to not waste my time going to a tire shop because they would not be able to program the sensors to the computer in my car. Decided to check that out for myself. The stars must have been aligned because decided to call Dana Tire & Auto Service in Chandler. I spoke with JR who was confident that he would be able to help and had me drive over to see if their computer could read the sensors. He also called the manufacturer of the sensor to confirm that they would be able to pair the sensors and the manufacturer, guaranteed that the sensors would automatically pair with the computer. After installing the sensors, unfortunately that did not happen. So, JR spoke with the manufacturer who told them to take my car to Lexus and have them program the sensors and send them the bill. Today, the owner of Dana Tire along with JR picked up my car, drove to the dealership and had the sensors programmed. Went back to pick up the car and delivered it back at no charge to me. I've dealt with many auto repair businesses over the years and I've never had an experience like I had at Dana Tire. Giving this business 5 stars is just not enough. Throughout the entire ordeal they couldn't be any more professional, accommodating and were not going to quit until my problem was totally solved. They did all of this at a $1200 savings over the dealer cost! So, if you need tires or auto repair and want to deal with a business that will treat you like family then I strongly suggest you go to Dana Tire & Auto Service in Chandler. read more

The fixed my flat super quickly even though I used "fix a flat" highly recommend them! June 2016 update: I went to them for one issue, then there was another issue. I then got a note saying that the found another really dangerous issue with my car. By that point I had already spent about $700 on my car and the new issue would have cost me another $750. I took the car to my friend's mechanic and he did a thorough review (while showing me what he was doing) and told me that although there was some rust in the car, nothing was broken and there was no imminent danger. Could it be replaced, sure, but nothing terrible is going to happen any time soon. I'd go to Dana for an emergency fix, but not for a major repair. I took my car in for an oil change. I have been coming here off and on for over 20 years. I ask how are my brakes? We did not check those but we do that for free upon request. Umm ok. But we did rotate your tires. Ok so when you had the tires off the tech didn't think let me take a look and see if we can upsale another service. Nope so guess I will take me car elsewhere. Customer service is key and those little things stand out. If you offer it for free why not take a peek while wheels are off? My husband has recommended this place to people for years, and now I have a first-hand story to explain why. I had a flat tire, and went to Discount Tire to have it looked at. They told me that a nail had pierced the sidewall and I needed to have the tire replaced. There was still plenty of tread remaining on the tire. I asked Discount Tire if they would put air in the tire so I could take the car home, but they refused to. My husband brought his compressor in his truck, put air in my tire, and followed me to Dana Tire. Dana Tire determined the nail was right in the middle of the treads, patched the tire, did a rotation and balance, and had me back on the road good-as-before for under $60. I won a full car service and tire rotation from the Chandler Rotary. When I arrived for the service, I was greeted by three gentlemen in the service department who could not have been friendlier. I elected to wait for yhe car which took no time at all to complete. This is a first class operation. Workmanship was excellent and I was very satisfied with their staff. I have taken my car here quite a bit. My impression is that they know their stuff and they generally fix it right the first time. They are very accommodating on the phone and straight-forward about when they can get things done. I think they are honest. Their prices are not always the best, but I don't fight over price if I know everything is going to be done right. There might have been one time where I had to bring something back. The labor rate is $85/hour, but I don't think they fudge the number of hours. I usually ask my very knowledgeable friends before I take my car in so I understand the situation as well as possible. There have been a couple times where I wondered if they did a little more work than was necessary, but overall, I'm pretty sure they are straight shooters. In fact, a couple times they did some minor work without charging me. I also remember getting a really good price when I had to replace my radiator. I think most of their customers are old-school Chandler folks. I know people who have been going for years. That's a good sign. I have been taking my 2000 Hyundai Elantra here for about 4 years, mostly for routine stuff. I guess the fact that I have had very few surprise repairs is a pretty good sign. read more

I explained the problem to him and asked how much the oil change would be? He asked me to show him my confirmation email and told me not to stress because he would still give it to me for the same price as my groupon deal. My girlfriend and her mother used to go to this place so I decided to "cheat" on my shop and go here as well. BIG MISTAKE! My car was overheating and $450.00+ later, my car still had the same problems. They told me it was going to cost another $400+ to fix and I told them where to shove it. i am knowledgeable enough mechanically to understand cars... and especially enough to know someone is trying to rip me off. I took the car home and flushed the system myself. Problem solved. About a month later, my car started overheating again. I am sure if I tried to take it in to them they would have tried to pull $400 out of me. I went to my normal shop (Chapman's auto in north Phoenix at 40th St & Greenway... WORTH THE DRIVE! They are honest and don't charge you to guess at the problem). They showed me that one of the items that Dana placed on in their attempt to fix my overheating problem was not tightened and placed on right. Now my car works correctly and I will NEVER go back to Dana Auto. BIG RIP OFF! read more

I've gone to Dana for 7 or 8 years, and they have repeatedly demonstrated their honesty. I sometimes get my oil changed at other repair shops, and those shops inevitably give me a long list of expensive, "necessary" repairs. I then take the car to Dana for the straight scoop. Often, the car doesn't need any repair, and if it does need something, the cost is always a fraction of what the other shop quoted. You're lucky if, in the course of your life, you find an attorney and a mechanic you can totally trust. and if you find them, you count your blessings and keep using them..
