She remarked that these were all "$180,000 vehicles" (which was not accurate) and implied that we needed to commit to buying before we could sit in them. The interaction came across as though she were questioning whether we could afford the vehicles. I have never been treated so rudely at a dealership, and I will not go back. I was in North Scottsdale last weekend shopping at several Penske high-end dealerships, all selling vehicles much more expensive and exclusive than Land Rover. Nonetheless, every one of them was welcoming and unpretentious while I looked at their vehicles. If there are vehicles a dealership doesn't want customers sitting in, the obvious solution is to lock them--not leave them unlocked and then make customers feel unwelcome for exploring the showroom. Having such an unprofessional receptionist is a very bad look for Penske and Land Rover.
