I recently got my nails done by Minh at RYU Nail Bar, and I couldn't be happier with the results! She executed exactly what I asked for, and the attention to detail was incredible. My nails came out clean, elegant, and beautifully shaped. I moved to Dublin about a year ago and, ever since, I've been driving all the way to Union City because I couldn't find a local nail tech I truly trusted. After what felt like an endless search, I finally found my girl! Not only is Minh talented, but she also took her time to make sure everything was perfect. The salon itself is clean, welcoming, and has a relaxing atmosphere. If you're looking for someone who can consistently deliver beautiful, high-quality nails, I highly recommend booking with Minh at RYU Nail Bar. I'll definitely be coming back!

Minh Minh and her team always do an amazing job at RYU. I really want to shine some light on her & her staff for handling a challenging situation that happened Saturday 12/20 with such grace and professionalism. There was a customer who was beyond unhappy with their service. Instead of Minh Minh getting upset she was calm & listened carefully to resolve the issue. It was impressive to watch her and her staff maintain composure to make sure the customer was heard. Even when the dissatisfied customer was making a scene in front the whole salon. The staff did not act aggressive or rude when handling this tough situation. Regardless of witnessing this altercation. Loyal clients at RYU have class & respect. From my Gel-X to now Builder Gel manicures. YES the green cat-eye is my natural nail length due to builder gel ! The quality and salon service is IMPECCABLE! It's a great establishment to RELAX & DESTRESS! Can't wait for my next set

I usually request Kimmy but my daughter's and I have had services from many of the employees here and Its been great. Everyone is warm and inviting. Kimmy is great at helping pick colors and has done a few designs. She likes trying new styles. I'm loving my most recent builder gel set.

My gel nails weren't quite as good this time around. My left hand had a lot of bubbling and cracking (see pic from right out of the salon). Still a very clean, relaxing environment and friendly service. But the mani wasn't quite as tidy as last time, which was disappointing.

Stopped here to get my gel x removed. Did not have an appointment and found it because it was close to my place, and they were so nice! They were able to squeeze me in and took great care of my nails. She was very precise with her polish placement and took the time to make sure my nails looked good. The place was cute, and the prices were reasonable! They even gave me a little gift bag for the holidays. Will definitely be coming back here in the future!

The set I received was alright, they had to switch me to a different Artisan because the other seemed to give up. I was much happier with the guy, he did amazing work. I say that Janet gave up, but now I wonder if she ran away. She got red nail polish all over my sleeve. When I reached out to the salon, they reimbursed me for dry cleaning, $7.77. The cleaners could not remove the stains. The Salon asked for information, brand, etc. I provided these. I don't have any other information, so they have decided to do nothing. Wear your grubbies, Janet might jack up your cute top. I paid over $180, but they can't cover a $30 top.

My technician Natalie was very kind and walked me through all of my options before starting on my nails. She was very considerate, asking me if I liked my nails at every step of the way, and I love the way they turned out!!! I got gel-x with a design and they charged me $100 for the service, which is relatively cheaper than other salons in our area! I've gotten so many compliments on my nails, I love them! It was also very serene and welcoming inside, they offered me water and had tv playing! I'll definitely come back to Ryu for my next manicure :)

Second time! This time my nail tech, Tammy, did an amazing job with the Cat Eye nails I have been wanting to try! I thought it was going to be GelX nails again but she did acrylics/dip this time around. I am pretty quiet when it comes to getting my nails done as I use it as relaxation time and she did a great job I almost fell asleep LOL The magnetic process is super cool with the Cat Eye nails and it's so pretty! Next time I would get other colors done.

Came back to Ryu for a mani & pedi during their anniversary celebration, and couldn't be happier! Linh and Hoang were diligent yet quick and gentle. The store was beautifully remodeled, almost felt like I was at a spa.

I've been looking for a place to do my nails, and my cousin highly recommended I go to RYU. The place has a good vibe, cozy, and super welcoming. I booked my appointment with Minh Minh, who my cousin swears by, and I get it now. She has a really warm personality, easy to talk to, made the whole appointment feel relaxed. I had a hydrangea nail art design in mind, and she delivered. The work was clean, detailed, and had some personal touches. Overall really solid experience. I'll be back.

I am terrible at taking more pics of my nail sets but just know they have been SO GOOD thanks to my girl minhminh I have been going to her since they first opened & she never fails to exceed all my nail expectations. I went with a group and was sadly disappointed, I asked for a new set and pedicure - the new set did not include a manicure so no cuticle cutting or buffing. I wanted to keep add shellac but the lady insisted no, so she cut them off and put acrylics on when I repeatedly said I did not want that, then came the color I wanted a pink nude and she went with a really light nude and stated it was going to take too many coats to get to what I wanted then charged me for ombré (when it clearly wasn't). The pedicure wasn't terrible just not the color I asked and then when I suggested another color the lady pretended like she didn't understand me and kept painting the color I didn't want. It came out to over $160 and was definitely not worth it at all. I will not be returning and my group also experienced charges for services they did not ask for or want. I will never recommend this place again and if you want quality for your money i'dsuggest going elsewhere. read more

My sister and I had such a pleasant experience here! Not only did they take us in last minute but they really put thought and care when working on our nails. We both had builder gel manicures with the deluxe pedicure. Peri was so detail oriented and made sure everything was up to my expectations before I walked out of there. My mom and I have been here a couple of times before, and we enjoyed this place a lot. However, we went in for an appointment at 4:15pm on a Sunday for a classic pedicure, and I was very disappointed. They rushed through the entire pedicure and finished in about 20 minutes. The stylist did not ask what type of pedicure I wanted, but they asked my mom what she preferred at the start. She did not trim my nails, nor did she clean up the cuticles. They advertise a 5 minute massage, but I barely received a 1 minute massage. By the time the stylist was ready to do my color, I looked over and my mom was still having her cuticles cleaned. I sat in the chair for a good 15 minutes or more waiting for my mom to finish up. I find it unfair to pay $40 for a half-done pedicure. As for the color application, there is paint on my cuticles. The corner of my big toe is missing color. The middle of my big toe also looks thin, as if the paint had been stripped by the clear coat. Furthermore, when I was going into my purse to get tip money, the lady kept smiling at me as if she was prompting me to tip her well. I am sad to be losing a new spot that I previously enjoyed. read more

The inspiration versus what I got! They were so busy so late in the day but made sure I received exactly what I asked for and I loved it :) Especially for nails that require lots of little detail and are a bit unconventional, I felt comfortable asking for adjustments and they were so patient and gave me their opinions as well. I've been following Minh (the owner) from before she opened her own salon and I was so excited to hear that she finally had her own place! The salon is so modern and clean and you can definitely tell that she put a lot of thought into making the place look as nice as the work that they do. I came for the soft opening a few months ago, and yesterday I attended the grand opening. I absolutely loved it! They had some complimentary treats for customers and 2 vendors, which I thought was so cool! I don't usually get my nails done but when I saw that this was open I decided to see if they had any last minute availability! They were able to take me in and when I brought in my inspo photo the staff had asked me a ton of questions to make sure I'd get the best possible outcome. Tammy did an excellent job doing my nails and checking in along the way to make sure everything was looking great! I called Priti (P-R-I-T-I) the receptionist at 1:00 PM to ask if the threading specialist I like was available. She told me yes, the specialist was available today and also tomorrow. I explained that I live an hour and a half away and specifically drive out for this particular service provider because she does great work. Priti said that was fine and told me there were no appointments scheduled, so I could come in anytime. At 2:35 PM, I called back to confirm that I would be coming and asked if there was an appointment available. She said they had an opening at 3:15 PM. I said that would work. She then abruptly hung up without taking my name or confirming anything. When I arrived and parked, I called back because I realized she had never taken my name to hold the 3:15 appointment. I had my seven-year-old daughter with me, who is sick, so I wanted to be sure the appointment was secured before bringing her inside. Priti told me she could not put my name down unless I physically came into the salon. I did not understand why my name could not simply be written down over the phone, especially since she was the one who hung up without confirming details. Then she started to say, show me your car .. I will come out to see you in your car so I know you are here. I got frustrated because why would I want anyone to see my car when I'm trying to give her my name for the appointment?! She said she doesn't believe me that I'm here and calling to put my name on the time, I was so confused! The situation escalated unnecessarily. Instead of resolving it professionally, she involved someone named Neil, who told me they would not service me and that I had to leave. For someone who drives 1.5-2 hours specifically for their services, this level of rudeness and lack of professionalism is unacceptable. I am so happy that I've finally found a quality nail salon in San Ramon :) I booked online, super easy and convenient. I texted them to ask if I can add on my 5 year old daughter for a pedi and they answered back very quickly that they can accommodate We were very pleased with the service. I've been coming to RYU since their grand opening in May, and I've had consistently great experiences. The salon is always clean, and the staff is thoughtful about checking in to make sure I'm comfortable, like offering water during my appointment. I had an amazing experience getting a gel manicure and gel pedicure here! Tammy & Ann who took care of me were incredibly kind, professional, and attentive. They made sure I was comfortable the entire time, offering water and mimosas throughout the service, which was such a nice touch! This is the BEST nail salon I've ever been to!! All of the staff are so sweet and take such good care of you. The salon itself is so cute along with all of the chairs being comfortable enough to sit in for hours while you get your nails done.
