Stopped into S&J's Cafe for breakfast and it was such a great experience. I ordered a caramel latte, and it ended up being the perfect pairing for my meal -- sweet with just the right hint of bitterness, exactly how I like it. I had the triple berry French toast along with the S&J's breakfast, and both were fantastic. The French toast was delicious and the fruit tasted super fresh. The S&J's breakfast plate was huge -- easily enough for two people to share. I actually shared mine with my husband, and even with that, he still had room to enjoy his own Monte Cristo, which he loved. Portions here are no joke. Pretty much everything could be split between two people, which makes it an awesome value. The restaurant itself is very clean, and the staff was genuinely friendly. I also loved that the kitchen is open -- you can watch the cook work if you want. He greeted us as soon as we walked in and checked on us after we ate, which added such a warm, personal touch. Great food, great service, and great vibes. We'll definitely be back. read more

Customer service was better than the food & the food was good! My son has multiple allergies including wheat and couldn't eat much but the chef without asking personally cut up fresh potatoes so he can still have them without wheat. That meant so much to me! Waitress was friendly and patient. Turkey sausages were made to perfection, the berry French toast was a winner & I'm happy they serve brunch after 3 Most places that serve breakfast/brunch close early. I stumbled on this restaurant being in the area and I stay an hour away, I wish I was closer to visit more often. I was thanked for coming in more than once by more than one person as well. Stumbled across this place online looking for a new breakfast spot. This place is great!!! Fresh food, family operated, well priced!! I had the John's Breakfast Wrap, which I am not typically a wrap or sandwich guy, my place is omelettes. This wrap was amazing. Stuffed full of sausage, ham, potatoes, onions and crunchy green peppers!! My wife got the traditional eggs Benedict with tomatoes added. They were great. Eggs were poached perfectly, hollandaise sauce was great and not broken like most places. Oh and the coffee was great, from Ramolli's in Livonia, it was so good I forgot I was at a small restaurant. This was our first time here, but certainly not our last. S&J's just shot up to the top of our breakfast spot list. They were great! No joke! read more

Took my mom out to breakfast at S&J's Cafe. The staff were very friendly and service was wonderful. The restaurant is very clean. We tried a few different items, My mom had Monte Cristo with house made hash browns. I had their pancakes and the 2 eggs, bacon and hash browns. Everything was delicious. The food is amazing. We have been back four or five time now and keep telling everybody they have to try it! One of our favorites is the John's rap. It has all the breakfast meats and eggs wrapped up with sausage gravy on top. Everything here taste so incredibly fresh and the service is so friendly! It is managed by one of the nicest families you could ever meet. The name comes from the owners Simon and John and the wait-staff is also family.
