I usually go there for breakfast, but I have eaten dinner there a few times everything I've ordered is very good. My order was prepared just the way I like it. The service is outstanding mostly family works there so they really take good care of you making sure you're happy with what you ordered and can offer any help if you need it. The restaurant is decorated really nice on the inside, very clean. The outside is nice too and they keep it up. Plenty of parking large menu. Handicap accessible. read more

Visiting from Wesley Chapel FL. Came in after Mass at St. Therese down the street with the family for breakfast. First thing we noticed was the friendliness of the staff. All smiles and personable. They seated us quickly (there was five of us) and meal orders were taken immediately. While waiting for our drinks and looking around the place, we noticed how clean, polished and just how really nice it was. All the staff in sight were all smiles, and multiple servers came by to refill our drinks and to let us know our food was on the way. Food was fantastic and it was really nice portions. This place was a total surprise! We were looking for a place to go have lunch, of course we used the Yelp app to help us. We spotted this place and thought we would give it a try, boy I'm glad we did. From being just a corner store in a strip mall when you walk in the place is immaculately decorated for a diner, the menu is extensive with lots and lots of goodies and devilish favorites. Had the Spanish scramble and hash browns. The hash browns were hot and crispy on the outside just the way I like them. The scramble came with a good amount of chorizo, cheese, onion, jalapeño and salsa on the side. Couldn't eat it all. Service was fast and attentive. Wish that Yelp had a 4.5 rating. read more

Went tonight, 5 tables, had to wait 10 minutes for water. We order chicken strips and fish and chips. The food came and my Wife's chicken strips were flattened out, dark brown and rubbery. My fish was very greasy, the green beans were bitter. We come here at least twice a week. We told our server about the chicken , and sent it back. My wife took two bites of her salad, that's all she ate. I finished my fish. The bill came and they charged us for the salad(comes with our meal). I asked and she said that's what they do. I said these cooks are back there laughing. The table in front of us sent back their food. I see now why it was empty. Not once did they offer to send the manager, I'm sure there wasn't one working. If Zef was there this would not be happening. Paulee's just lost regular customers. read more

I live in the old subs near Lakeside Mall at 19 Mile and Schoenherr and Canal. We have so many options to eat that we rarely venture past Hall Road but a few months ago we decided to try new restaurants that are beyond Hall Road. We gave Paulee's a try and boy are we glad that we did! There is plenty of space inside for sitting at a booth or table. There is plenty of parking outside. The place is spotless inside. The staff are absolutely top-notch pleasant and professional. The cooks are amazing. I have never had a bad meal there and we have been going a couple times a week for the past few weeks. We are trying to work our way through the menu, haha. I especially like the mostaccioli and the ham and cheese omelettes. The food is always fresh and served at the right temperature. When asked which side I want, I always say the salad as it is crisp, fresh and plentiful...best side salads ever! The menu has plenty of selections, including a much appreciated, Senior Citizen's section. The prices are very fair. Bonus, the staff are always well-groomed and very pleasant. read more

I recently brought home a "Rueben" sandwich from this diner. I don't typically leave negative reviews, however this sandwich was an abomination. it was made on toasted white bread not grilled rye and only one half of one side was " toasted. There was a total of 4 oz of sloppily constructed corned beef sauer kraut and was swimming in 1000 island dressing. The corned beef was dried out and crusty and looked like scraps that were reheated multiple times. The corned beef and kraut were in a small pile in the middle and most of the sandwich was dried out white bread. I can't speak to the taste as it went immediately into the garbage because it looked disgusting. Having worked in food service there is no way this should hav left the kitchen. Spun the wheel and decided to get the lamb shank. I questioned the decision but I'd never been here and went with convenience and location. Next time I'll pass on convenience. Pretty on the inside, the meal itself lacked any and all flavour. The red sauce was reminiscent of spaghetti-o's but chef boyardee uses more seasonings. As a foodie, I appreciate effort and taste. The shank wasn't fall off the bone tender and the seasonings were nowhere to be found in the shank, potatoes or soups. read more

The service and atmosphere at Paulee's are excellent. I'm particularly impressed by the owner's son, who consistently ensures his staff is attentive and engaged--something that's hard to find these days. I'm always greeted with a smile, and even during busy times, the wait is never long. My husband and I find ourselves here almost every Sunday morning. My favorite dishes are the strawberry or raspberry crepes with cheese filling and sauce; they consistently exceed my expectations. The western omelette is always fresh and delicious as well. If I'm not in the mood for breakfast, I love the chicken Greek salad or the Reuben sandwich. If I had one suggestion for improvement, it would be the coffee. While it's decent, there are better options out there. In my opinion if Paulee's served First Watch coffee, or something similar, I'd be there all the time... Overall, it's a fantastic spot that we look forward to visiting each week! read more

I ordered the vegetarian skillet, minus broccoli, added jalapeño and ham. I was not disappointed. The veggies were all seasoned, the jalapeño had some feeling to it and I got it with sunny side up eggs on top. The pancakes my daughter got were again just ok, but the sausage was excellent. What is happening here? The food was always really good. There were 4 of us dining and only one of us enjoyed our meal. The fish and chips dinner was so mushy (and very watery). Ranch dressing was bland and such a tiny portion which wasn't enough for the nice sized salad. Fries were good but the corn was another story. No butter, seasoning and way overcooked. Our waitress was great, and so adorable... That is the only reason I'm giving this restaurant three stars. We definitely won't be back. read more

The building might appear shiny and new but this place has by far the worst food and customer service I've seen. Literally, a kid running the show by flirting with everyone, food had hair in it, waitresses running around to show their backside off to this "manager." I was embarassed that my children witnessed some of the things that they did there. We paid and didn't even bother citing the issue with the boyager because it was that much of an awful experience. Not really sure how this place is even standing with all the food violations, the ridiculous amount of employees but none to assist you, and lack of concern. read more

Went because wife and I just bought a condo in the area and wanted to try the local restaurants and was very excited about the food and service. I wanted to try the senior menu and got the veal parmigiana and it came with a salad first and was wonderful. Next the entree came out and it had spaghetti with garlic bread and two big veal patties covered with cheese and sauce. It was enough for three people and was delicious except for the green peppers in the sauce and so was the veal. I ended up taking most home because it was huge. Nice little family place. Monica was my server, nice young lady, checked on me often. Great breakfast, sausage gravy could have used more pepper but I am a pepper freak so take that for what it is. I had the Pauline Special breakfast-huge and priced fairly. The bacon was perfect as was the ham (which I usually save for my dogs). Even the sausage likes (which I don't particularly care for-like parties much more) were good. I will be back. I should note have that breakfast went home with me and was almost as good the next day. read more

Husband and I got carry out geek salads tonight. First let me talk about the red onions. They were so strong and nasty smelling that I could smell them as my husband was walking in the door with sealed bags. We ended up putting them in a gallon ziplock to discard. Unfortunately it still smells in here. Secondly there was a portion of my feta that instead of being firm and crumbly, was mushy. I knew as soon as I put it in my mouth that it wasn't fresh. Feta has a strong flavor anyway, but this tasted bad. Greek dressing also was not as good as I remembered. We probably won't go back to Paulees. read more
