He didn't fix the refrigerator and attempted to charge me $1100 to change a compressor.

I should have gone with someone else at that point, but he offered a discount to reschedule the next day, so I agreed. The service call cost $150 (paid in cash) after the discount. He was in and out in under 15 minutes and says he replaced the hi-limit thermal cutoff. The dryer produced heat briefly that day, but when I first used it a few days later, the problem returned -- spinning with no heat, exactly as before. When I contacted him about the issue, he explained that a "proper repair" would require a full internal diagnostic, airflow inspection, and cleaning -- work that was not done during the first visit. He said this type of complete repair would typically cost $250-$350, and eventually, he offered to apply a credit from the first visit and complete the work for an additional $100 (bringing my total to $250). My concern is that the initial visit addressed only an immediate symptom without diagnosing the root cause. For $150, I expected a thorough evaluation, not just a quick part replacement. A proper eval and repair should have included checking airflow, testing all thermostats and safety components, and internal cleaning from the start. I declined the additional service and requested a partial refund, which he agreed to provide. As of today, I have not received it. In hindsight, I should not have paid in cash. [Edit: After this review was posted, I received the refund.] If you hire this service, I recommend clarifying upfront exactly what diagnostic work will be included and what the total cost might be if additional repairs are needed.

When I opened the panel myself, I found the water line to the valve was simply disconnected. I picked a small broken piece of the water line out of the valve, snipped off an inch off the end of the tube to get to fresh material, and pushed the water line back into the valve connector. The pump was not cracked and works just fine. I completed the repair myself and it cost me absolutely nothing. I wish they would refund my $122 initial payment for a trip charge and misdiagnosis, where the tech could have done the same thing I did during his original visit, for no additional charge. I messaged the company the attached proof with pictures and they ignored me.

Our machine is making a knocking sound but doesn't aways do it so last time we were told to record the sound and my husband did but that wasn't good enough . This time the guy had us run only towels and it didn't do it. He didn't do anything with the machine last time and it looks like he is going to ignore it again this time. So now if it does make the noise we have to save the load, hopefully it won't mildew before they come out. We can't wait for a catastrophic failure to occur with the machine.
