My concern is that the initial visit addressed only an immediate symptom without diagnosing the root cause. For $150, I expected a thorough evaluation, not just a quick part replacement. A proper eval and repair should have included checking airflow, testing all thermostats and safety components, and internal cleaning from the start. I picked a small broken piece of the water line out of the valve, snipped off an inch off the end of the tube to get to fresh material, and pushed the water line back into the valve connector. I wish they would refund my $122 initial payment for a trip charge and misdiagnosis, where the tech could have done the same thing I did during his original visit, for no additional charge.
