Update - March 7 I…read morereturned to the store on 3/7 as requested to pick up the "corrected" pendant. I was hoping to speak with Manny or someone in management about the situation, but no one besides the cashiers was available. The pendant I received now weighs the same as the gold I originally supplied, which I appreciate. However, the design and proportions are not the design that was discussed or agreed upon. On 2/24, I provided Sharif with the original pendant I wanted replicated, using more gold and scaled slightly larger. They had the physical sample for reference, and I also sent Manny photos of the design via text message. Despite having both the sample and photos, the pendant I received is clearly a different design from the one I asked them to recreate. This is especially frustrating because I was specifically told that replicating the original piece would not be an issue. Based on that assurance, I trusted Sharif with my gold--gold that has sentimental value to me--as well as my payment. The final product does not match what was promised. To make matters worse, "Soviet 585" was engraved across the back of the pendant without any discussion or approval from me. After years of doing business with this location, this experience has been extremely disappointing. Between the original issue with my gold not being used and the final pendant not matching the agreed design, this entire process has fallen far short of what I expected. If you are considering custom work and have a specific design you want replicated, I would strongly advise proceeding with caution. I was also asked to remove my original review within an hour by Sharif via phone call 3/5 after posting it.
