My New Shop. I own a 2006 Nissan 350z and I do not let just any ASE certified mechanic or tech touch my car unless they know exactly what they are working with. After hearing that a buddy of mine goes S and M Automotive Specialist I decided to give them a try. I went in to have them change my rotors and brake pads. I upgraded to Akebono pads and Drilled and Slotted Rotors. The quality they put into every job is amazing. Never have I seen a garage work on a car, yet alone EVERY car like they own it. What really caught my attention and made me a happy customer was how he took my lug nuts off and on. He sees I have expensive aftermarket steel red lug nuts so he loosens and tightens by hand, making sure the paint does not chip. They finished my car in no time. Fastest, coolest, most knowledgeable mechanics I've encountered. This is my new shop and I will refer everyone I know to them. This business and their work is a piece of SH#%. Marlon is the most unprofessional, unresponsive, and unreliable business owner and mechanic. We were given his shop as a recommendation by Terence (also a POS), and that recommendation wasted us 9 months and $4000+ with an unfixed car. The only thing you can expect from this guy is to take your money. He won't answer your calls. But here's a trick, call him w a new phone number he doesn't recognize and he'll surely answer. Fair warning to you if you're reading this and interested in the service, you will get a half @$$ of a job done on your car and he won't have anything to say about it. His shop neighbors even refer to him as a lazy FU%#. We showed up at his shop to pickup our still broken car and he wasn't even at his shop. His shop is full of broken untouched cars. Im so glad i came to this shop (Thanks to Yelp!) Before i came to Marlon's shop, i had called & went to 3 other shops where i needed my LED's installed, (i already purchased the bulbs, just needed installing) All those 3 other shops i went to, said that since i had a Q45, it was going to be a difficult job to do. I knew it would be a little work because i saw that the battery on 1 side had to be removed & then the airbox on the other side, but i never thought 3 shops would turn me down, lol. My previous cars, i was able to do it myself since it was just plug & play w/ no needed removing of anything to get in there. Luckily i found S & M, called before hand, he said yes he can do it & to come on by. Went over there, him & his buddy looked at it & they said they can do it, but since they were already closing, he had me come a couple days later. Marlon & his partners did the job in no time & sent me on my merry way! Reasonable price for excellent service! I'll definitelt be coming back & referring others to S & M! Just thought I'd update. I'll try to be as unbiased as possible... In 2007 or so, I went in to have my clutch replaced. I found an used full performance clutch assembly (clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel) for pretty damn cheap. About 1/3 of the cost of the after market "OEM" clutch that he was trying to sell me. Anyway, I bring in the parts. He examines the parts "carefully" and estimates that I would be needing to change out the parts again after 1,000 to 1,500 miles or so. I thought about it, and had him install it anyway. 4 years and 41,500 miles later, it is still working fine. No problems what so ever. In last review, I mentioned that he was "honest" and threw in "automotive specialist". When "examining" the used clutch, he was wrong by around 40,000 miles. 40,000!!! 40,000, how does an honest mechanic be wrong by 40,000 miles? No signs in slipping yet. S&M. What can I say? I don't recommend anyone to go there. read more

Marlon is unprofessional and untrustworthy. First I was losing oil. He told me it was leaking from the valve cover gasket and so I had him replace that. It didn't do a god damn thing. Later I had him take out my AC system/power steering to save weight on my miata since it wasn't working anyways. After he said he was done, I could clearly see the condenser and power steering fluid reservoir still intact. I pointed it out to him, and he told me to stop being a jew. He even offered to give me a loaner car if I needed it. Thank you! (Will conclude my review after a week of hopefully good results) He called me up almost a week later to come in for a follow-up. How nice of him to call me rather than the other way around. Luckily he's close to my house and I can come to him for any kind of help. Referred by my friend here. The place is ok. Owner wasn't ethical with how things should go. I need to get the control arm and ball joints replaced. He gave me a huge price in which i think was not reasonable. I asked how much if i just have the control arm will cost and how long. He gave me the price and i said ok. Then all of a sudden he was preparing my car to get repair and i told him i didnt even say that i wanted it fix today. And he just walked away.
