There were several areas of concern as the mortar was so aged that water was getting into the basement. David came and removed all of the loose powdery mortar and filled in with new strong mortar. He also applied the interior walls with a waterproof seal. The cellar looks nice and bright, light and clean. He was meticulous in his work and the results prove it. The cellar no longer has water coming in after a storm and the walls are smooth and strong. The external mortar work on the foundation is also clean and smooth. It was painstaking work and done very professionally all for a good and fair price. I highly recommend David C McDonald Co for all work around the home. He has also done light carpentry for me as well as landscaping (yard cleanup/spring/fall) every job he's done on my property has been thorough and I've been very happy with the results.

So when we purchased a single family, he was our guy. He did a full and half bath reno, had subcontractors replace the roof and heating system with hot water tank built in. His hardwood floor guys are great, his painter as well. The kitchen was pretty much done but needed some work around the stove, he took out cabinets and added a vent hood. And then all the little things, like installing sconces, replacing doors and storm doors and ceiling fans. He replaced all outlets and most light switches. There's not much he hasn't done here and we trust him explicitly with electrical and plumbing. Yes, it takes a while sometimes. Our assumption is he has to have another job starting as he gets near the end of ours and works us in to finish it up. It's been worth it and we value him most nearly as a family member.

I called two…read morecompanies to get an estimate and M&M came in about a third of the price for roughly the same work, though their guarantee was about half (10 years) of the other company. Modesto and his sons were excellent--professional, prompt, detailed, and efficient. They sealed the foundation, installed a French drain, and buried the leaders so the gutters wouldn't deposit water along the foundation. They even replanted all of our shrubbery and laid down loom and grass seed to regrow the grass alongside of the house. They regularly communicated via text so I always knew what to expect. I later hired them to do interior work after a plumbing problem which they did once again with excellence. Modesto found the problem and suggested ways to mitigate future problems without trying to upsell me. This project involved pulling out sheetrock and finished carpentry, water mitigation, rebuilding walls, carpentry, and painting. Though it took them longer than expected because of the extent of the damage, he charged the same price that he had quoted. The work was excellent. This company will be on speed dial.

IMO of course :) They demoed our 9 brick stairs and 2 walkways in the front of my house and reinstalled using granite and concrete. They were professional, trustworthy, respectful, and took pride in their work and the product they delivered. They showed up and showed out everyday until completion and minded their business :) Modesto is the head! He's very thoughtful about the way he does business. He's realistic with quotes and he's a dude with A TEAM that delivers!. He stayed connected to the job and us from start to finish. We gave them the freedom to play with the final design and they did an OUTSTANDING JOB on something that's so not exciting, typically! We used Gomez Landscaping to rip out our existing hot topped walkway that had buckled from tree…read moreroots and replace it with stone. They did an amazing job! We also used them to dig up a section of our rear walkway where pavers had sunk over the years and were no longer level. Again they did a great job, however after they had completed the work and left we noticed there were a few stones that we were not happy with how they were placed due to coloring. We reached out to Miguel to let him know, he was there the next day to take a look at it, and sent his crew back the following day to fix it. No arguments, very professional, took the time to make sure we were completely happy with the job! We will definitely be using Gomez Landscaping for future landscaping needs.
