I spoke with the owner, Hyewon Ahn, to arrange an appointment. She was friendly and accommodating. She's also an Oscar winning celebrity make-up artist, so I knew I would be in good hands. When I arrived, I was greeted by her adorable little doggie. Hyewon showed me the various options that I could choose from in terms of style, placement, & length. I selected the Cashmere Classic, open eye. She took me to a private room and made sure I was comfortable on the table and even provided a blanket to keep me warm. The classical music in the background was soothing and little princess and I took a nap while Hyewon worked her magic. She has a gentle touch and there was no discomfort during the procedure, which took a little over an hour. I am happy with the results. I've tried false eyelashes in the past and they were uncomfortable and heavy. These extensions are light, feel natural, and look beautiful. The best part was little princess giving me puppy kisses before I left. The boutique offers a variety of professional beauty services all performed in a clean, relaxing environment. In addition, she worked on various ethnicities and skin tones/types. I was taken aback on how she individualized each client. As I mentioned, my interest was brows. What caught my attention even more, which led to my decision, to move forward with Helen, was the attention to detail and how natural the brows looked!!! I scrolled and scrolled, through each one, and I was in AWE!! It was not "one technique for all" it was individual to each client. Some were sparce, scant, even nonexistent, yet she worked her magic and brought those brows to life. I was impressed! Not only with her work, mostly, her professionalism. I contacted her via IG and let me tell you, she was prompt and ready to answer all my questions. She is such a sweetheart too. Her calm confident demeanor is what the greatest service is. Fast forward to March (couple weeks before my birthday) I was in the chair. She accommodated me as I wanted a consultation, but being her last appointment, I asked if we could go ahead with the session, and she said, "sure." What you see in the pics below, is how it started, went, and ended! I went for my touch up in the one month and now am loving and living with my beautiful brows. The color is as rich as it was on day one, and they are ready to go every DAY!!! She has become a dear friend, and I will be going back to have my skin tags removed! I explained that I had always wanted my brows tattooed, that this a birthday gift . Arrived: very cold and unwelcoming. zero customer service & poor communication. She didn't talk to me about the steps or explain process. nothing. When I asked questions she seemed annoyed. She was on her phone constantly chit chatting, ignoring me. The first thing she tells me is that I needed botox. What? I'm here to get my brows tattooed on my birthday and you're insulting me? Great start, hit your clients with a self esteem blow...now I'm ready to cry on my birthday. Her number one priority was her instagram post so there was constant yelling over me to the other side of the salon for someone to come do camera work. She never asked me how I felt about it or if I wanted to be filmed. I personally did not want to be filmed. For one, it made me very uncomfortable. It was awkward lying there with them constantly hovering over me speaking in a language I don't speak. And having to do multiple takes of the shot. Two, it made the entire session take longer because she kept stopping to film and take photos. I asked to see the photos she refused. she said she would send them and never did. I told her I didn't agree with the tattoo color she chose and that I was concerned it would be too light. She disagreed so I trusted her and she was wrong. Just an FYI the outcome on the videos and pics she shows is inaccurate because that is NOT what they will look like healed. And Helen doesn't post any healed pics. Which I later learned is a red flag and what you should look for in a artist. My brows didn't match!!! They were two completely different sizes and shapes. I reached out to her a few days post asking her about the issue. She told me not to worry that we could fix it when I book my touch up. Okay but they weren't done correctly in the first place!! So to me that's not a touch up that's your mistake and shouldn't cost me my included touch up with $550 brow tattoo session. When I returned she was again very cold to me. The first thing she told me was I needed a darker color ( yep thought so) and that she would match the two brows to be the same (thanks kinda what most of us are going for) she redid them and they are much better however they are still unmatched and not completely tattooed. There are huge gaps where she never shaded so it's patchy and I have to color them in to fix my brows. Just a note: it strangely hurt 3x worse the second time than the first time. My other issue is her pricing. You will notice she doesn't list it anywhere!! Huge red flag because when you ask her a price she thinks about it before she tells you. So it's the price she is deciding on for you personally. So I felt like that was really suspect. I also asked her to please not post the reel of me online and that it made me uncomfortable. She did it anyway. I Do not recommend her!!!

Just got done getting my eyebrows done today and I was nervous as heck! My hair stylist told me…read moreabout April from one of her clients. Her blonde client's eyebrows looked so great I had to get mine done right away! I booked my appt with April for the next week and then started reading and asking around about the pain, etc... I began to get very nervous reading about the pain and bad experiences people had at many places! People I know that have gotten it done before told me it just feels like scratching and it's not that bad. I am a big baby when it comes to pain and warned April when I got there :-) I got there and April was just finishing up on a patient and didn't have to wait for too long, but even if I did I understand that she's the only one in her office that does the tattooing, so I expected to wait. She got me numbed up for the full 45 mins and we discussed what I wanted and she drew what they would look like. After we perfected look, the tattooing began. At first it felt like she was taking an electric shaver to my brows, didn't hurt at all! Then as the process went on, being the baby that I am, it did start to hurt like a normal tattoo to me anyway. So if you've ever got a tattoo before it feels like that so expect some pain but it is tolerable. I am extremely happy with the results and can't wait till they heal to see the true color and total look. I will post before and after pictures when they heal. I will say don't be afraid to ask lots of questions, April will answer them all. I probably sounded really paranoid and mentioned I was nervous many of times :-) (This is the only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because I felt like I had to ask a lot of questions since I didn't know much about it at all and it just came natural to April since she's had so many clients, but a little more explaining of the process would help out a beginner client like me) Update......... I work from 10am-6pm 5 days a week, and she was kind enough to work a longer shift that day in order to do my lashes. She is very soft spoken and kind. As far as the actual eyelash extensions, I can officially say that I am a satisfied customer! I wanted to wait a while before leaving my review to see how long my lashes would hold up. It has now been a little bit over a month, and my eyelashes are STILL in pretty decent condition. Not as full as they were in the beginning (of course), but I still get compliments on how natural and pretty they look. Keep in mind, I am VERY careful when washing my face, wearing makeup, etc. At first, I went in hoping for very full lashes. Nikki gave me lashes that, I felt, were on the longer side and weren't as thick as I wanted. BUT, as time went by, the eyelashes really grew on me. I was glad that Nikki noticed my tattoo and figured that I would like the longer lashes since they matched my personality. And for thickness, Nikki actually gave me a pretty perfect amount.
