We had such an incredible experience at S Bar during Labor Day weekend and truly cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff. A very special shoutout to Chris, our bartender, who was absolutely phenomenal. His attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine pride in what he does stood out immediately. It is honestly rare these days to come across someone who takes such care in creating a great experience for every guest. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we came back three nights in a row, and Chris was a huge part of what made our trip so memorable. He truly made the weekend for us! Kaneala was equally amazing. He was incredibly attentive, warm, and kind, and consistently took the time to check in on us throughout the evening. Nothing ever felt rushed or impersonal. He genuinely made the experience feel personalized and made us feel so well taken care of. The entire team was exceptional, including the male host whose name we unfortunately did not get. He remembered us when we returned, welcomed us so warmly, and always made sure we had a place at the bar. That kind of recognition and hospitality goes such a long way. S Bar was easily one of the highlights of our Las Vegas trip. We made a dinner reservation at S Bar before attending a concert at Allegiant, which is just a short walk from Mandalay Bay. It is definitely a cocktail lounge with swanky vibes, and the seating matches -- love seats and leather sofas, low to the ground with small round tables for drinks and small bites. Keep that in mind if you are only coming for dinner. They do have a bar top with bar stool seating as well, but most is cocktail lounge type seating. Drink pricing is typical Vegas -- minimum $20 for a cocktail, $10 for a beer (even Athletic Brewing NA, which I was glad to see they carry). The food menu is awesome. They have something for every palate, and the items can be shared easily -- both largely the reason we chose this place. We tried wagyu sliders, chicken sliders, lobster roll, waffle fries and the black pepper crusted ahi tuna. There were three of us and it was the perfect amount of food where we didn't have any leftovers, but we weren't stuffed to the brim either. The food itself was absolutely delicious and it came out very quick. It was brought out as it was made, which helped with the pacing of the meal. Overall, we really enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and drinks. The bottle of wine we ordered was great and paired perfectly with the meat and cheese board we shared. Ordered the following: 1) Sliders - (3.5/5) - patties weren't overcooked, buns were soft, caramelizes onions paired well with the sliders, would get again if craving sliders/burgers. 2) Spicy Calabrese Flatbread (4/5) - this was surprisingly spicy, and I love spicy food, would get again. 3) Waffle Fries (3/5) - flavor wise this was fine, texture wise it was a bit too dry, though crunchy, but that combination results in a little bit of pain on the inside of your mouth haha, wish there were more sauce provided. 4) Wings (Szechuan) - (4/5)* - SADLY, the lid to the container wasn't closed tightly, and I lost all but one wing - which tasted decent! I had the spiked blackberry lemonade which was so good, and my husband had an old fashioned. He said it was just ok. This was a dope Halloween experience!!! Not sure if S bar has food but we received 2 complimentary vouchers for free drinks for S bar from the front desk at the Delano hotel. The experience was one I'll never forget. They had a performance going on with people on stilts (and people riding the people on stilts lol), waitress's dressed in sexy lil maid costume, creepy grem reapers, singing, dancing, strobe lights, THE WORKS. The ambiance was beautiful. Very upscale. Huge bar, no regular smegular tables, they had beautiful couches and chairs with cute lil side tables to rest your drinks. Nice Big statement art pieces and cool strings hanging from the ceiling that really emphasized certain areas, like the bar. The service was great. S Bar is located inside Mandalay Bay and it is farther down from the strip, so it wasn't as busy as I was expecting. This establishment is classy and sophisticated. There was a live band and some really cool entertainment. The contortionist was really fun to watch. Drinks were strong, so we ended up asking for mocktails instead. Got a BOGO drink ticket after checking in at Delano. We didn't really have anything planned for the evening so we all decided to stop in for "One drink" and figure out the evening. WRONG! we shut the place down. Probably top 5 best times I've had in Vegas. Hostess and Bouncer were all very accommodating and not douchey like at other spots. I believe their name is "Late Affair" and they were incredible. Vocalist, Guitarist with 2 female dancers and another male dancer. Stopped into S Bar at Mandalay Bay to check out its "Late Affair" concept and it was a blast. The entertainment was similar to Superfrico except substitute the oddity of OPIUM with good old fashioned sexy rock 'n' roll. Definitely worth a night out on a Saturday to check out if you want some snacks and some sizzle. While the ambiance was electric, the food we sampled was terrific. We started with the Spicy Cigars (spiced beef, labneh, Zia'atar), Deviled Eggs and Cool Cucumber (black vinegar, cilantro, sesame). The spicy cigars are especially incredible! One of the best rolled meat (think taquito) I've ever had. I could eat 20 of these and not feel guilty. The deviled eggs were great (maybe drop some caviar on them to add a little boug?) and the cucumber was a nice palate cleanser. We then moved on to the Truffle waffle fries with harissa ketchup and some glorious sliders with toma cheese in port wine. These sliders hit hard. The beef was juicy and the onions with toma cheese was delectable. The Parmesan truffle waffle fries were solid and the ketchup and additional dipping sauce (fry dip?) paired well. Grazed on those all night, even during the wild entertainment that ensued. We finished with a crème brûlée with strawberries and a cookie. Perfect finish. The cocktails were well-made, especially the two that I was able to try. I went with their version of a Sidecar, called the Conspicuous Side Chick (Remy Tercet Cognac, Cointreau, Fresh Lemon Juice) and its take on an Old Fashioned, the Mature & Stylish (Bulleit Rye Bourbon, Amaro Montenegro, Bitters). I'm in a Sidecar phase so I'm ordering it everywhere. Last, but not least, the entertainment. Much like Superfrico utilizes the Opium performers as in-meal entertainment, S Bar uses a rock 'n' roll entertainment team that is both gifted, sexy and a blast. Audience participation is mostly optional, but that's not always guaranteed. It's a raucously fun time. And in a space that used to occupy the headless (and bird poop-drizzled) statue of Vladimir Lenin, it's only fitting that this crazy concept of free love, rock 'n' roll, and open mindedness meet at the crossroads where only the ghost of properties past remain. Definitely stop down there for both a meal and to check out the Late Affair (only on Saturday nights every hour on the hour). read more

Minus three stars for the incredible ripoff. I ordered a Four Roses bourbon (typically $10-$15 an ounce) and later an E.H. Taylor bourbon (typically $25-$30 an ounce). When the bill came the Four Roses was $44 and the EH. Taylor was $26. This made no sense as the Four Roses was on a lower shelf so I asked a manager who said the Four Roses was "harder to get". I've had literally thousands of bourbons throughout the world and never paid over 150% of a bottle price for a single ounce. E.H. Taylor is a much better bourbon and had I known that it was less expensive than a cheaper bourbon (by almost half) I would have never ordered it. It's also sneaky to charge more for lower shelf items. Made me miss Red Square. On another note the bartenders were very nice and the service was good. read more
