Start off by saying this is a chain restaurant, and was curious to try Mexican food in the area. The menu has a ton of options. I order the wet burrito with steak, it was good. I anticipated the burrito having the rice and beans inside the burrito (that's typically how it's done on the west coast) however it was on the side. The rice was not very flavorful. the beans were good. The Camarones rancheros were great and flavorful. Also order the tacos however they were bland. They do have a great drinks options. The Margaritas were delicious and were served with a floating fresh flower. Our waitress was sweet and very efficient. Exciting ambiance and happy hours 4pm to 7pm. The problem happened when our server instructed a nice young man to give the plate, (he was helping to pass out to our table), to "el Gordo", (fat one) directed at my husband. I speak Spanish. Walked in, hostess was on the phone, had to wait for at least 2 minutes. Got sat, brought waters after 3 minutes and didn't see our server for over 15minutes. It was not busy at all. The tables were dirty and it's very cramped and noisy. The guy who brought us drinks did not even acknowledge us. I'm guessing he was supposed to be our server. We ended up leaving because he was too busy with the people next to us and the host wasn't even at the host stand at that point. read more

We had to order two it was soo good that it was finished almost as quick as it got to the table! One of the picks for Mexican food while visiting Destin. We were gonna visit the one location that was within walking distance of our motel only to learn it closed when we walked there. We did opt to go to this location which luckily it was open. The inside was kinda dark but very clean. We were able to get seated and waited on rather quickly beings we went during a slow time of the day. Our waiter was friendly and attentive and patient beings we did take a little time deciding what we wanted. We did get complimentary chips and salsa. I ordered a Queso appetizer and a ground beef quesadilla lunch, my friend ordered a burrito of some kind, I forget. Our food didn't take long to arrive to our table. The Queso, OMG probably the best Queso ever. Maybe even better than what we have back home in Kentucky. My ground beef quesadilla was not quite what I expected. It looked more like a taco than a quesadilla. I proceeded to eat it anyway and even put some Queso in it because there was just too much meat. My friend enjoyed their burrito. Next we got margaritas. I got the Bonita and my friend got the tropical flavored. We both got the smallest ones and honestly I thought mine was a bit strong, I could barely taste any fruit. My friend enjoyed the tropical flavored one. We used our own straws to try each others drinks and I wish I did order the tropical flavored one, oh well. Overall, we enjoyed our meals and left full and happy. Definitely a great Mexican place to try in the Destin area. Will definitely be back when visiting again. read more

This is probably our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. We don't mind driving 45 minutes from 30a to get a lunch or a dinner here. The optimal price-quality ratio is what it is about. I think we have tried every meal on the menu in the last several years, and every time it was delicious, fresh and well-served. Staff is always friendly, smiling. I'd like to help raise the rating for Pepito's because they truly do deserve better! We had a very nice lunch there during our vacation in Miramar Beach in June 2025. The restaurant is clean and well-designed. The service was lovely - friendly and prompt. I had the seafood quesadillas - delicious! Husband enjoyed chicken quesadillas. The order was ready in a very timely manner. The burritos were so good!! This is one of the only places we can find that has a burrito like the ones in California where all the ingredients are inside the burrito and perfectly melded. Some of the best Mexican food I have ever had! I consumed it so fast I didn't even get pictures of my food! They start off with complimentary salsa and chips and also bring waters out. The salsa is top notch. Full of flavor and just a little bit of spice! There is food for everyone here. My brother isn't a fan of Mexican food but was able to order their. Chicken Alfredo and wow was it good! Tender moist chicken full of flavor and the sauce...yum! They also have a large variety kids menu. My mom, dad, and myself order chimichangas. Environment / Ambiance - 3/5 Spacing seemed cramped, not the worst I experienced but very far from the best. Sensory - There was a lot of screens / visual stimuli that could overwhelm someone. Noise Level - noise level was pretty loud with tvs, large party next to us, and music that was probably too loud.
