Honest to God, my Go-To Mexican restaurant. Extremely underrated and undervalued as part of the La Puente community. I believe they just got their beer and wine license so now they serve Michelada and Mimosas all of the sudden. Which again, is extremely undervalued as it quite possibly is the best Michelada I have ever had. Seriously, they must use their own mix or something because I don't taste much Clamato in it like other places use. Must go to Spot in La Puente, trust me. read more

I've been coming to this place for years and when new management came they did nothing but improve the store. There's beautiful indigenous art all over and friendly customer service. I came in with the mood for their famous nacho (carne asada) fries and got a wet burrito and I'm beyond satisfied with the burrito. Great food with a reasonable price, highly recommend trying this place out. Also their salsa verde is UNDEFEATED! read more

I was a little hesitant about coming here due to the street and little downtown area looking like a ghost town, but once I got of the car and peeked inside there were a few people eating so I said I will try it. I ordered the goat birria, since I want to find a local place that has good birria especially goat. To my surprise it was good. Not the best, but had good flavor and a decent portion. It came with consume, beans and rice, tortillas and a little salsa. Oh yea and a small salad. The salsa a little spicy but not too much, just enough to give it flavor and a little kick. I like what they did with the place. I love the artwork and i think the layout is comfortable. I had the torta milanese (steak) was good. Was served with fries which is weird, but they were actually really good. My wife had the posole blanco and she enjoyed it. Was served hot. I dont know why she likes to be "victimized by caldo" on a hot day. Thats on her. I went here on a lunch break and it took a little long for just the two of us, but I'll definitely go back and try a few other things on the menu. I dont know the beer selection, but it would be nice to have some craft beer. A firestone walker 805 wouldve been paired well with my torta. read more

This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in town. It's a small little place, but the food is delicious. Everytime I go I have to get their chips and guacamole because it's freshly made and just always tastes so good. I highly recommend trying this place if you want good Mexican food. read more

First time at this spot. I ordered the green chilaquiles with carne asada & eggs (waitress mentioned the she had to add $1.50 more because meat is expensive), huevos divorciados, micheladas, chips & guacamole. All came out to about $50. When Adriana took my order, I noticed she didn't write anything down (all memory), which I thought was not routine. Food came to table, she had forgot the eggs. Comes back and tells me the eggs are mixed in. I said, "...but I ordered them over medium." She then went back and took her about 10 minutes to bring my eggs. By then I was already done eating. Another waiter brought them and was respectful about the mixup. Asked for more salsa, took longer than it should have. It was not busy. Little things like that were not expected but my chilaquiles were off the chain. Everything was good with a homemade taste and atmosphere. I will definitely come back to try different entrees. Came here for Mother's day in the mood for chilaquiles and some cafe de olla. My husband tried the red (asked for spicy) and I tried the green. Both were delicious. Portions were perfect. The only thing left from tic tacs was their asada fries, but now they changed up the fries and it's no longer good. This was the only thing worth coming for, other food is mids. No more guac or good salsa, just some sad McDonalds fries with beans cheese and asada. read more

Fish soft tacos were amazing, mild fish and well prepared. Chicken enchelada mole was great, every entree comes with a salad, beans and rice. The menu doesnt say that clearly. The third dish we got was chicken hard tacos, nicely topped with cheese. I wish the pick up during Covid was not in the tacky back alley area, the front of the restaurant is very nice, and it would not be hard to have people pick up out front with a table blocking the door from entry inside. Yelp ordering take out is free online, no charge, and credit card and tip are paid online, the takeout is very fast. I will take photos next time and add to my review, not enough photos on Yelp food items, but go with what you know you like and I'm sure every meal will be good. read more

Awesome and friendly service very attentive.I went there because the hamburger spot in front was closed so I went in You would never think it would be so nice inside from looking the outside. I had the Carne Asada burrito and asked if I could sub the beans with rice the waiter/owner said yes. Their salsas are so good!! The burrito had meat in every bite witch is the way I grade them. The menu is full of choices I will try to try them all with time. They serve Menudo, Pozole and birria daily. Hard to find a spot that offers that, I highly recommend this place!! Will be my new local go to spot. Oh by the way the owner is a La Puente local so support local businesses by locals! ENJOY!!! read more

Amazing little hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. Great hospitality from start to finish; the host was incredible and makes very pleasant conversation and the Hispanic music playing pleasantly in the background gave you a real feel for the authenticity of the restaurant. :) The mini tacos were delicious and the host was very gracious and honest when he told us that "we had a casualty" because one of the tacos fell but he gave us a fresh one right away. The Chilaquiles were too notch and you can tell right away that the ingredients were fresh and everything was seasoned to perfection. Although the Chilaquiles were a little spicy, that's how you can tell the chiles were fresh and ripened to perfection! 10/10 would come back for many more visits.:) Didn't get the hosts' name but he's very humorous and, again, very gracious and charming. :) read more

When I got my order, I was so excited for some horchata. I bought a large horchata, enchiladas, carne asada fries and a burrito. My enchiladas were ok not really any flavor in them. And my bf said his burrito was good. Carne asada fries were eh. We didn't finish them. But the more reason as to why I'm rating is because my horchata.. BEWARE: TRY YOUR HORCHATA BEFORE YOU LEAVE. My bf came home and I drank it.. it straight up tasted like old milk... very sour. He drank it, and he said it tasted like throw up.. then I tried it and was like OMG it does. Stopped in since I had some time to kill and did not regret it one bit. I had their california burrito and the juicy meat with the crispy fries was superb. The complimentary child and salsa were a whole level above what I normally get at other Mexican restaurants and to top it off the horchata was good as well. Service was pretty good and despite the surrounding area (which gave me doubts at first) the interior is very well decorated and furnished. They were out of the cabeza when I went in so I'll have try again some other time but otherwise it was a very fine experience for the time I had spent there. read more

Wow! The menudo here was amazing, my wife had the enfrijoladas plate and the beans were on point! We were very happy with the food and the service. It's nice to have found a place in my hometown. Also, it's nice to eat at a place that isn't blasting the same old loud music, they had some nice mellow music which went well with the cool Aztec murals all over. First time here, Got the Carne asada fries... they were really good... I usually judge by the salsa and it didn't disappoint. Although it was a little upsetting that my husband asked for guacamole/avocado and they guy said it came with it. When we got home it had no avocado or guacamole. read more

I ordered the nacho fries which don't have nacho cheese but shredded cheese, so they should be called Mexican fries instead. Nothing special. Waste of $20 on Postmates. Plus they don't give you different salsas when you order, just one flavor. I've had way better fries elsewhere. read more
