The prices are good here, considering this is a cafeteria with a few tables. The food is also really good, comparing it to other places with "Cocina Latina" around here. This place is definitively my favorite for greasy and salty Latin food. I've had the pernil (pork leg) and it was really good, and one time I ordered the chuletas (pork chops), which were OK even though they were fried on the spot. I will say that the rice and beans and plantains are really good, I would be happy just with that. I have seen that they have roasted chicken, and it looks good, so I may visit soon and get some, with some arroz con gandules (rice and pigeon peas).

Sabor del Caribe is located in a small strip mall on Curry Ford Road that is located between the Wendy's and the shopping plaza with the Publix located in it. I was getting an oil change at the Tuffy and figured this would be a good place to stop for lunch. Upon venturing in, I seen that it was rather nondescript inside, as well. This did not discourage me in the least, I have been to many of these cafeteria style latin food places and I fully understand and prescribed to the belief that the best of these places are always simple, humble type places. I stood by what I thought was the place to order and was ignored. Someone else walked over and approached where the food and were approached. So, I followed suit. I ended up going with rice, pernil (a Puerto Rican pork dish) and yuca. I also ordered a papa rellena, which is a potato ball with ground beef in the middle. I have loved these since discovering them in Miami decades ago. The pernil, rice and yuca was about eight dollars and the papa rellena was about two dollars. Not bad pricing and they gave a decent amount, but here is where I have to bring another Latin cafeteria type place just a few miles away. Where I finished this and honestly, could have put away some more, this other place, if you manage to finish it all, you will definitely be stuffed. Also, I think it is a bit less in terms of cost at this other place, but both are well priced. Ok, the pernil here was a bit overcooked and kind of dry. It definitely did not possess the sublime qualities of great pernil. I was debating between the pernil and the chicken and found myself wishing that I went with the chicken. I have decided to give it three stars. Service was indifferent, the pernil was dry and overcooked and probably from the day before as I was there just a tad before noon. The pernil did not taste fresh at all. If you are getting an oil change, it is not the worse place for lunch. But if you are looking for the best Caribbean hispanic type cafeteria, look elsewhere.

I love this Puerto Rican Restaurant in Orlando. It is a small place; it's not fancy, but the food is delicious. It's better than many Puerto Rican restaurants in Miami, Orlando, and Kissimmee. The people that work there are very nice and so kind. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good, delicious food.

My sisters recommended this place during my visit (never ate there) so we ordered take out - family meal for 5. To my surprise the food was delicious, portions were generous and reasonably priced. It's worth the trip if you're in town or new to the area - I do recommend.

This place made me and my friends happy. The food was amazing. The service was great. They played old school Latin music I used to love listening too back in the days. I even got up and danced. I would def go back to this Restaurant and recommend friends and family if anyone decide to stop into Orlando Florida.

Our waitress, Stephanie T., was wonderful! Since it was our first time visiting and we aren't very familiar with Puerto Rican cuisine, we had quite a few questions while looking over the menu. She was extremely knowledgeable and took her time explaining the different dishes, ingredients, and options to us. She was patient, friendly, and never made us feel rushed, which made ordering something new much easier and more enjoyable. And when I say the portions are LARGE, I mean it! We ordered the La Chorrera, and it is easily enough food for two people to share. The whole snapper is also huge and could definitely feed two people, especially with the sides. You absolutely get your money's worth here, so come hungry! The atmosphere was another highlight. The décor, music, energy, and overall vibe make you feel like you've taken a little trip to Puerto Rico without ever leaving town. It's lively, colorful, welcoming, and really adds to the experience of enjoying the food. Between the delicious food, generous portions, strong drinks, great service, and amazing atmosphere, we thoroughly enjoyed our first visit. We will absolutely be back!

The yuca was hard, though I asked for the softest pieces from the bottom, if you know about Yuca you know what I mean. I had gone wanting the roast chicken but right when it got to my turn to place my order, they had run out. So I got the pork. I specifically asked the employee for pieces with less fat, and she responded in a way that seemed annoyed. Unfortunately, the pork I received was nearly half fat, even though I requested less fat and more meat. The worst was the piece of pork skin, it was soggy, any Puerto Rican or Cuban will tell you this is No Bueno The rice was probably the best part of the meal, even though it was not served very hot. Overall, for the price I paid, I expected better food quality, customer service, and consistency. They do have a little canopy area with tables and seating, but it's so hot to be outside I opted to wait and eat in my car. We waited about 30 minutes before receiving our food and once we received it you could tell everything was freshly made. We ordered a combo that came with 2 pinchos, 2 pieces of bread, 2 orders of loaded fries,2 mofongo balls. And 2 drinks. The pincho meat is big meaty chunks and well seasoned. These were some of the biggest pinchos I've found in Orlando and the price was really reasonable. The loaded fries were ok, just typical fries with bacon and cheese. These mofongo balls had good seasoning, they weren't dry at all, and the perfect portion. The garlic bread was good as well and was soft. Overall everything was great! The seasoning on all the food was perfect, the portions were more than enough, and the prices extremely reasonable. The only negative I have to say is that it took long for us to receive the food but everything was freshly made and I appreciate all the hard work they do during the extremely hot fl summer.
