A few coworkers and I went after work one night to try it out. This place was pretty good and if we were locals we would enjoy it regularly. Food: Very good, we all had something different. We had the fried mix plate for appetizer and it was great. I had the Chimi Burger and it was reminiscent of DR. I also had the Yaroa with sweet plantains and chicken breast. Everyone's food was well seasoned. Service: Excellent, we were greeted as we arrived by a host who was also our waitress, she was friendly, polite, helpful, and attentive. Ambiance: Welcoming environment, with a laid back feel. Modern diner vibes with indoor and outdoor dining. They were playing some American music when we arrived but started playing bachata and it was easy listening. Bachata is a favorite genre of mine.

On the food, I want give this establishment a 5. They all taste authentically good. On the service, I want take one star off since it was too slow for lunch. Who would 3 hours for lunch? We had to wait over an hour just to get the food. Then another 30 forbthe checks.

Great spot. Our server, Jisselle, was so patient and helpful while we tried to decide what to order. The restaurant is small but not crowded and there was plenty of seating. The food was delicious, we ordered the mofongo and it was very filling and flavorful. Only complaint is that they charged $6 for two water bottles.

$11.95 lunch with soup, salad and main entree, plus the table service and the beautiful decorations. If the food was just ok, it would already be worth it. The thing is... it was delicious. Like eating your grandma's food. But elevated. I had the lunch special with beef stew and pumpkin soup. The soup was sooooo good. Then she brought the super fresh rice, delicious beans, very flavorful beef stew, and fried plantains. And potato salad! Yes, my friends. This is an awesome place. Will definitely be back when working around this area.

Getting our Latin cuisine fix while in Florida. Looking for a place to eat in Alafaya and found this place. Glad we went as we all found something we wanted to eat. Shared the oxtail stew, cerdo frito with mofongo, and tostones with garlic sauce with my son. All three dishes didn't disappoint. The oxtail stew was flavorful and delicious. Ended our meal with flan. Service was helpful. Good selection of food. Plenty of parking and clean bathrooms.

Welp... brought my lovely wife here as today was her birthday. I'll keep it short and sweet. Staff was attentive, food was decent. Will I be coming here again... that's a good question. Place wasn't packed when we arrived but that changed as time went along. Guess we will have to see if I return

This place is good, not amazing, not hip, not trendy, but good. When walking in and looking at the menu, it almost feels like something great is going to come out of the kitchen, but unfortunately, it doesn't. But you do get to enjoy some of the dishes. We got pork chops, chichen soup, and a steak sandwich. Everything was very traditional, tasted traditional, but was missing that kick that a restaurant should have. We closed we a pumpkin flan, and it was below par. It had a mild pumpkin flavor but more burnt sugar flavor than anything. The place looks cool, there is plenty parking, service is good. The food should be better.

First time here & the decor, food, and service were great! The interior design is so interesting, very different from other Latin restaurants in the area. This place is a mix of Puerto Rican and Dominican fusion. It's a bit pricey but the food was definitely worth it! Everything was delicious! Our server Paola was very nice, she even helped bring my grandmother to the car with her umbrella when it was raining, that meant a lot to us. I will definitely be going back for the fresh food!

I wish I could give them 5 stars but unfortunately I wasn't to happy. Ordered online through Uber eats since we saw they had a great rating through there. I ordered the Kids skirt steak which had rice and beans on the side which was actually more food than I expected I liked that. The steak needed a little more flavor I think for my liking or a sauce on the side. The rice and beans were delicious perfectly made with flavor. My husband wanted the Picahna with grilled garlic shrimp, unfortunately this was my disappointment there was barely any flavor on the meat and they gave us 4 shrimps which to me is a rip off like 4 shrimps wow! Lol but either way the side which were the tostones were good. The Sweet Plantains were very oily for me and over cooked. The best part was the vanilla flan, I actually love flan and I'm very picky when it comes to that but this was one was made perfectly.

This is a relatively new restaurant in a small strip plaza between the Pep Boys and the Walmart Neighborhood Market. They have other locations, but now they are finally on the east side of Orlando. I placed a to-go order and it was a little strange walking in the door marked "TO GO" as I felt that I was walking into the kitchen. The woman taking my order was friendly and outgoing and it was definitely service with a smile. I opted to go with their fried mix, which was chicken, sausage and pork. For my side, I went with boiled yucca. The food was prepared in the time promised and I felt the pricing on this was relatively fair. After tax and all, it was just over twenty dollars. The portion was pretty huge. I can eat a lot and I could not finish the amount of food in one sitting. I came close, but I will have some leftovers for tomorrow. As for the taste, I definitely found it to be an enjoyable meal. If you find yourself on the east side of town and craving some great Latin food, I would recommend Chimiking.

This is the fried chicken mofongo with cheese and bacon.

Chimiking has a great ambience and tasty appetizers (do yourself a favor and get the cheese sticks), however the food takes a long time to come out and it can be deceptively expensive. It's menu is built like Spirit airlines, cheap at first sight but with a lot of hidden costs. The side are separate from the entrees and by default they'll have you paying for water. The food itself is tasty, the Tripleta is great and I've also had the fried chicken Mofongo which was good, if only a bit of a single note dish. Try this if your looking for a unique experience but beware the added costs if your trying to stay on budget.

Omg! They get us every time! You want some authentic dominican food or looking for something different? Go here! It is absolutely delicious! When ever we want some food from where my parents came from and I don't feel like cooking we come here. Usually it is packed but this time around we were the only ones seated inside. There was another family outside. We love ordering the refreshing dominican drink (nonalcoholic) made with orange or lemon juice and evaporated milk with a hint of sugar and vanilla extract. We didn't get it this time though. So good!!! I love the shrimp with rice and this time my husband tried the boneless chicken cheese bacon stuffed mofongo. He usually gets the skirt steak. Oh and to end the dinner date we ordered a passionfruit cheesecake (not pictured). To die for! I included the pictures from our last order as well. Skirt steak stuffed mofongo and the fried cheese appetizer with guava sauce. Sorry I didn't take a picture of the cheesecake but for next time for sure! Delicious food!

They bring together the best comfort food from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. Staff were focused and very kind to everyone who walked in. The place is also consistently busy, one person leaves and two more walk in. You can expect to wait 10-15 minutes for your food but the upside is everything is made in the moment so it will be fresh. We found it totally by accident, just a random stop next to a venue before a show and suddenly I was transported straight back to my NYC days when late‑night chimis were basically a lifestyle. They do have chimis here, but the real star of my personal universe is the Tripleta. Chicken, pernil, ham, lettuce, tomato, potato stix, and that glorious kreme sauce all stacked together like they're auditioning for the sandwich hall of fame. It's so good I don't even pretend to have self‑control anymore, I order one to eat and two to take home because future‑me deserves happiness too. Then come the maduros, sweet and caramelized just right, the kind that instantly hit you with Caribbean nostalgia like a warm breeze and a memory at the same time. And the empanadas? Massive, golden, and addictive. The shrimp scampi one is almost always sold out, which honestly just proves everyone else has good taste too. The vibe is pure Dominican quick‑bite energy: walk in, get hit with the smell of sizzling goodness, and catch the soundtrack of mainstream dembow or reggaeton bouncing off the walls. It's the perfect pre‑game, mid‑night, or post‑party stop, especially since they stay open until 4 AM from Thursday to Saturday. That alone makes them a community service. And because the business started in NYC, the staff will happily chat with you about the city, the food, the culture, whatever you're nostalgic for. It feels like home, but with better parking. If you want real Dominican flavor, late‑night energy, and sandwiches that will ruin you for all other sandwiches, Los Tres Golpes is the move.

I was visiting Orlando and I have a lot of friends and family here. My niece took us here for lunch with high praises of the place. I was excited since I haven't eaten good Dominican outside of the few dishes I've learned how to make over the years. We arrived and immediately began to order. There were a lot of us so I will only review what I ate. I ordered a small sancocho to start. It was ok, but was seriously devoid of seasoning. From the start you could tell they were playing it safe with the flavors. Trying to appease as many tongues as they could. I hadn't had sancocho in a very long time, so I was seriously disappointed. For my main course I ordered the monfongo with pernil. Where the sancocho lacked flavor the monfongo and pernil over reached. It was crazy salty. Like way too salty. I could only get through a few spoonfuls before I called it quits. I then turned to some of my wife's rice and beans and was right back to flavorless. About the only thing that tasted even was the chicharon de pollo. But even that was lack luster. It's always hard to find a good Dominican food restaurant. I will keep searching but till then I guess I will just continue to hone my skills at cooking it at home. The atmosphere itself was good. Sort of a mid-stage afternoon spot. Nice, clean, nothing too trendy or new. Just an average spot. If you have never had Dominican food this may be the spot for you. Something safe so you aren't over whelmed by flavors. If you grew up on it like me, I feel you will be disappointed.

The shrimp tacos were a great deal for 8 dollars. 3 tacos with meaty and plump shrimp and fresh veggies in a light sauce. There was a small amount of spicy sauce to kick it up a notch. It took a while to order dessert, but the cheesecake (8 dollars) was fine and they were very to give me an extra slice. While the food is good, the service can be pretty slow and sometimes careless. I thought the people next to me at the other table were patrons, but they looked to be advertisers for the food and promotions. The other staff can get busy, so it is best to pack some patience. When I paid the bill, always a good idea to ask for an itemized bill, so you know what's getting charged. When I paid the bill, I think they first mentioned that it didn't include tip, and I didn't have proper change to give them cash. But after looking closer at the total cost, I am pretty sure it included 20 percent already. Staff needs to be honest about this. Honestly, you all know why I came and this is the reason why I always come on a Tuesday... The mechanical bull! It always comes on Tuesdays around 8:30, and normally ready to ride 15 minutes later. I did not see any other guests ride, and the only other riders was the advertisers. So I took a couple rides on it, and it was just a fun and enjoyable ride. Since the ride operator knows me, he normally goes at a pace where I can just enjoy a thrill without risking of falling off. Good practice before riding the real ones. Honestly, this cowboy is selfish. If it wasn't for the bull rides, the restaurant would just be another nightclub place.. While the food is good and the security staff are nice, the service can be slow and maybe dishonest. I still enjoy this place and love going on Tuesdays mostly because of the free bull rides. As long as they still have em on Tuesday, I will keep on coming to practice, and hopefully will be ready to ride the real bulls again soon! Overall: B- for the restaurant. A+ for the bull rides.
