Sabor is still delicious and filling for breakfast and lunch. The prices have gone up (as they have everywhere) so a mini burrito is now $4.95 before tax. It is still huge in size and they will custom make your burrito (or bowl) if you don't want eggs, cheese, meat, etc. If you want all three breakfast meats it is slightly more. I personally like bacon, ham and chorizo all together. For an extra $0.95 they will smother the burrito in their Chile and top with more cheese and add sour cream and a bit of lettuce. Definitely a fork and knife meal in the best way. The staff is always friendly and expect a line (it does move very quickly) when coming for your Sabor fare. read more

With high inflation that has been killing us all, I wonder how a business like Sabor Mexican restaurant has been surviving post COVID era. When I came here this morning after volunteering at the annual NAMI Walk at a nearby park, one of our friends suggested this place for a quick bite to eat. When I looked at the menu board upon arrival, I was shocked to find the prices of the items; they are insanely reasonable. This is a "walk-up-to-the-counter-and-order-and-receive-food" type place (sort of like QDoba or Chipotle) without the chain restaurant atmosphere. This place does have some authentic Mexican cuisine feel to it which I like about. The dining area (despite the fact that it's unassuming on the outside) is quite spacious with ample number of tables. I'm pretty sure it satisfies many people who come here to get something real quick during the morning and lunch rush hours. The size of the menu is just right. You can easily find something that you like promptly. I set my eyes on the Mini Veggies burrito. And this was exactly what my stomach would be able to handle with ease (I had a muffin at the volunteer site earlier so I wasn't super hungry so if you come here with a light appetite, then I strongly suggest that you get this. I asked the guy to add guacamole to it.) And this burrito was just perfect in every single way. The portion, the amount of salt they used to cook all the ingredients inside it and the freshness of it, I mean at the price of just $4.45, this burrito is a steal deal. What a shame that I had never dined here until today even though I used to work in this very area (Arapahoe and Potomac.) Since it's only 10 min drive from my home in DTC, I shall come here more often gone forward. Great job, Sabor for keeping the restaurant with affordable prices for us! Went here on my lunch break and thought hey this doesn't look to bad, it indeed wasn't too bad. It was a set of pretty decent sized tacos with good sized portions and great flavor. The chicken was seasoned well and cooked to perfection which was surprising with the amount they make. The salsas were really good on the tacos and tasted perfectly together with the onion and cilantro. The interior is basic and doesn't have too much character but I kinda like it. The service was quick and friendly. They had tons of employees and they were all busy working hard to make delicious food. I think I will stop back in to try the nachos or quesadillas sometime. Ordered for pick-up during lunch. Quick and speedy service. Similar set up as Chipotle but bigger menu variety. They made my steak burrito right there for me to see. In and out in about 10 mins. The burrito included rice, beans, lettuce, cheese, sour cream and meat of your choice. It was good and fulfilling. I like their rice and refried beans, soft and fluffy. The dine-in is well spaced. They moved a lot of the tables and chairs to walls. Hand sanitizer provided by cashier on the counter. read more

The big breakfast burrito is GIGANTIC and two meals worth of food. It's also about $8 which is a little steep for breakfast. But if the size is a "pro" the "con" is that there isn't a lot of flavor to speak of. Very little green chile. Tons of bloat rice and beans. I recommend skipping this and doing a mini burrito. Ask for jalapenos to get some flavor / heat in there. read more

Good tacos in DTC if your only options are $5-6 a piece items. Hot sauce is hot, but not painful and the amount of meat given is more than most places around here. So I figured I'd try the bacon mini-burrito but without the potatoes. I wasn't pleased with the flavor of the "bacon" as it too had an off taste. Very porky tripe. Right in front of me, they choose to not engage me or say hello. Then they all speak Mexican-Spanish to each other and turn their backs to me and others as if to dismiss us. Wow. If you are looking for a fast, and inexpensive Mexican restaurant, this is a solid choice. I had the chicken taquitos and they were A-OK. The food is inoffensive, but not nearly as flavorful of some other local favorites. The hot sauce is all bottled, and they do not have a salsa bar, or much in the way of salsa choice. I can be a bit fussy with this style of food, but I did live in NM for a year, and have had some amazing offerings. read more

Seriously! The best breakfast burrito in TOWN! The first time I went to Sabor for my first breakfast burrito, I requested the large. The staff looked at me and said.... a small with be fine for you. They weren't kidding. Sometimes I eat half one morning and safe the second half for the next day. Don't miss their homemade hot sauces (red is my favorite). Everything made from scratch with the "family" touch. The staff is friendly and the food is made right in front of you. You know its great when Arapahoe County's finest is always there. My boys used to go there when they were in high school (no Chipotle for them) and order a burrito wrapped in a quesadilla. Well high school boys can eat you know! It took me a little longer to get there.... but I wont go anywhere else. So happy that they added Sunday to their hours. read more

I completely adore this place, from the guy who grunts at me every morning when placing my order. And to the different sweet ladies who give me extra spicy salsa on the side without me asking anymore because I come here so much! While it's nothing innovative, it's good Mexican-American comfort food at a decent price. My co-workers and I come here. A. Lot. At $4, their breakfast burritos are cheap, easy and filling and have become a morning routine. They prepare it in front of you assembly-line style and everything is mixed together while cooking. To be honest because we never saw the meat go in, we initially joked there wasn't any, just "essence of chorizo!" Still, the taste makes up for any doubt - very good and always fresh. Sometimes we go here for lunch too and then other days, have it catered to the office - ha! Their catering is very generous and so delicious, people request it over and over again. I'm in denver on a quick birthday break from the city. Of course I had to find a mexican food place not too far from my hotel. I checked out the food pics online and on Yelp and hopped in the Uber to head over. The line was a nice length and people had already filled the seating area. I knew then that I would not be disappointed. The plates are prepared in front of you, the tacos, the burritos, quesadillas, everything. I ordered tacos. The chicken was juicy, the rice was cooked to perfection, although the black beans could have been cooked a little longer, they were on the side and I was able to prepare my tacos the way I wanted. The hot sauce and mild sauce are equally delicious, I ate my tacos with both. I don't usually eat corn tortillas, but it was an experience I'm happy to have had. The staff is friendly and patient, is definitely recommend this place if you're in the area and want something that's guaranteed to hit the spot. read more

A decent American-Mex place that you stop by for a morning breakfast burrito. . . It isn't a place I would really push for a nice mexican lunch or dinner. It works more like a Chipolte than a traditional mexican resturant. You enter on the right side, order at the tortilla press, and move on. The odd thing (I thought) was that for all those breakfast burritos being sold they didn't make coffee. The decor of this place is somewhere around generic mcdonalds. I'm not ashamed to say that my husband and I eat here multiple times a week. It is literally the only place we will go for lunch (or breakfast) on Arapahoe anymore. I love their chorizo mini burrito and at $3.45, it's not a bad deal at all. They have a large burrito, but that one is monstrous! If I ate that for breakfast, I would definitely be in a food coma for hours. It would probably feed me for 3 meals! The staff here is very nice. They greet you and ask you what you would like. Great people, great service As for the tacos, I feel like they are slightly on the gringo side. First, the tortillas are not homemade. Second, the hot sauce is like mild for Mexicans... It should be burning my tongue off and it isn't. Third, the menu is in English. And overall, I feel like the tacos were good but not amazing. I was hoping for something that I couldn't resist but it's really a place I'll go come to because the tacos are good and better than anything else in the area. To put it simply...this is the best burrito I've ever had, breakfast or lunch. The flavor is explosive and they load you up with food so you won't go hungry. If you like hot food I recommend the hot salsa it is unique and flavorful. I will come back here for the remainder of my life. read more

Disappointed in the lack of flavor in the tacos, rice, beans, guacamole and salsa. It was all bland. The pork was old, yet still served. The rice tasted like air. The beans tasted like the plastic plate. If you like cafeteria food, then this is your place.
