The food was actually very good, and I have no complaints about the quality or taste. However, my experience was negatively impacted by the customer service. The restaurant currently has promotions that I qualified for, yet I was charged full price. This seems to reflect a lack of employee training and attention to customer experience. Promotions are meant to attract and retain customers, but they lose their purpose if they are not properly communicated or applied. Staff should be trained to recognize when a customer's order qualifies for an existing offer and proactively mention it. Even if the savings are small, that level of attention makes a big difference and creates a more positive and memorable experience. Unfortunately, because of this, I am giving a one-star rating--not due to the food, but due to the service. With better training and a more customer-focused approach, this place has the potential to stand out. read more

Had breakfast after church. My wife ordered ham, cheese and egg on a mallorca bread with coffee. Her sandwich was very good with the sweet mallorca bead. I have their Chin Chin bowl. The option that I ordered was yellow rice with ribs, bean (their bean had potatoes and pumpkin), pork and macaroni salad. The Chin Chin bowl only cost $5.00. If I was a parent, I would not take my kids to any fast food restaurant when they order homemade food for only $5.00. Highly recommended this place. This place does get full. read more

It's like I'm back home Loved the music - they also had a big screen that played old commercials from PR TV. Staff is quick and friendly. My husband ordered the egg, ham and cheese sandwich on mayorca bread and I ordered the same in regular bread and some sorullitos on the side. Definitely brought me back to when I was in high school. It was delicious. The coffee is amazing - just like back home. Definitely want to try and come back for lunch time since their menu looks pretty good. Llamé para ordenar un sándwich de jamón y queso. Cuando llegué a recogerlo, vi que el mismo sándwich estaba en un combo con café por $5. Entonces le pedí a la cajera si podía ponerlo como combo. Ella me respondió que no podía porque ya había marcado el sándwich por separado. Le pregunté si el sándwich del combo era más pequeño o si era tipo bocadillo, porque en ese caso tendría sentido. Me respondió que no, que era exactamente el mismo tamaño. Eso me dejó bastante confundida. Volví a explicarle que se trataba simplemente de añadir el café y aplicar el combo, algo que parecía tan sencillo como corregir la orden en la caja registradora. No es por los $5; no se trata del dinero, sino de hacer las cosas con lógica y no tratar a los clientes como si no entendieran. La cajera decidió consultar con la gerente, pero lamentablemente la respuesta fue la misma: que no podían hacerlo porque el sándwich ya estaba marcado individualmente. Sinceramente, me pareció una situación muy poco profesional. Tuvieron suerte de que estaba con mi sobrina, porque yo estaba dispuesta a dejar el sándwich allí, pero ella tenía hambre y prefirió quedárselo. Definitivamente no volveré a este lugar. Location no longer Rico Pan. There's lots more varieties and ready to serve hot food. Didn't try the hot food, just bought some pastries and drinks. Both cappuccino and tamarind drink were good. Muffin were a bit too sweet for me but the buttery flaky crispy pastries I got were really good. Will definitely come back. Gotta try the hot food next time. read more

Been here quite a few times. Many pros and cons. I'll let you decide. I usually come here for breakfast stuff. The oatmeal, Farina, and cornmeal hit the spot. Many types of pastries as well as bread. You also have appetizers like potato balls, empanadas with different fillings and alcapurria. I usually do a farina and cornmeal as well as an empanada. They also offer eggs platter breakfast but what I don't like is that they don't substitute items for others. You gotta take it as is and what ever you want is a side order. That doesn't sit well with me when the ham you put in the order tastes like crap and is hella salty. As far as the lunch menu. I don't touch any of it. When they put the pernil on display you can see it's Dry as hell. I bought the pernil once and it tasted like a reheated tasteless piece of rubber. Even the skin that looked crunchy was rubbery. They make a bunch of different sandwiches too which I truly don't care about in any way. Almost forgot to mention the time I ordered a breakfast platter with bacon that wasn't properly cooked. I sent my husband around 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, to buy bread. When he came home, the bread was already hard and stale. I ended up eating the one I had purchased at Walmart instead. I don't understand how the bread could have been hard that early in the morning. read more

The team needs to work on customer service skills.Food looks great from social media posts. We went after the Wednesday Chinese rice special was "done for the day" and were not greeted or offered alternative meal options. They saw us wandering and did not ask to have us seated or what we would like to order. Drove from far, and did not like the customer service. Unfortunately this place has declined significantly. Today I was served raw tequenos which were replaced by a "papa rellena" which was a ball of grease and I don't even know what kind of breading that was (see photo) also bought a tres ojos cookie that was so old the Arequipe (dulce de leche) had hardened. Great place to get a homemade pastry and delicious coffee. Since I don't speak Spanish well, the friendly girl behind the counter suggested a pastry. It was just baked and slightly sweet. I think it had some sort of cheese and apple in it. Perfect treat to get my day started. read more
