She listens to me, provides expert feedback about what will really work, and she makes sure I'm happy with my hair start to finish. I initially booked an appointment here for extension consultation after following them on social media back in 2022 when Alex did my hair and Kayla did my makeup for a wedding I was standing up in and they blew me away! I wasn't the bride but could have been with the care and precision with which they executed my look for the day. After that wedding I began following them both and their business page and when Alex posted looking for clients wanting to try vivid colors paired with extensions I jumped on it. That was August 2024 and I haven't looked back since! She initially did an amazing sunset themed color using custom dyed Envie hand tied weft extensions that had me getting compliments everywhere I went! Since then she has somehow managed to outdo herself with every change in color! These extensions are the real deal. They move with you instead of you having to move around them. They make wearing your hair up a realistic possibility which can be difficult with extensions. I'm now on my second set of 24" extensions and it is the one luxury that I keep indulging in! This time she took me back to my roots with a deep brown/black base with intermixed calico-inspired extensions (blonde/auburn). To say I feel like a goddess every time I walk out of there is an understatement. Pricing is fair and you're always given a realistic timeline for appointments. Alex is so easy to chat with throughout my appointment and Kayla (boss lady) and the rest of the gals are always so welcoming and sweet! This is a small business that I would recommend time and time again to anyone who asks. I only wish I could have transported them to Mexico for my best friend's wedding because they are that good!

Wendy asked for pictures of everyone in advance, as well as what color dress everyone would be wearing so she could come prepared with ideas and all tools necessary. I've never worn a lot of makeup and wanted a natural look, and Wendy did wonderful work delivering on natural while making sure it was enough to come through in photos! Renee can do whatever you want with your hair! She is super easy-going, efficient and creative. She can look at an inspiration photo and easily replicate it, but she's also willing to offer suggestions if the look won't work or look right with your particular hair. Just to give an example of Renee's personality - my mom didn't want to get her hair done, but when she walked in to my hotel room after getting dressed (with her short hair looking very flat), Renee gently suggested "can I touch up your hair for you?" - and proceeded to make my mom's hair look 100x times better in 5 minutes (my mom agreed). Both Wendy and Renee have decades of experience and they're competitively priced with all the "big box" hair and makeup outfits in Chicago. They're also much more flexible (no "you have to have x many people for us to come to you...") and much more personable than any other options I found in Chicago.
