I have been coming to this authentic Mexican grocery store since 2020 & I never get tired of it. Every time I'm in the Orange Park area I get excited to stop by this place. Spanish is mostly spoken while inside - a good sign! You can order inside or call ahead which I recommend because they are usually busy around lunch time. They sell so much more than just hot food so I always suggest to take a look around once inside! Miss Jackie is the sweetest lady and helped me carry my food to my car because I got so much! The ambiance here is always great... THE BEST HOLE IN THE WALL IN OP! (You'd pass it without a 2nd thought if you didn't know!) Pro tip: get your food to go and eat it on River road! An undeniable duo!

Popusas, the encurtido look like a sample

we ordered popusas and the guy took the order wrongly,... not really what I expected.. Tooo pricy .. the prices do not match with the food they serve

I've been coming to La Sabrosa for years. Whenever I'm in the area, I find a reason to stop. Great tacos & tamales - well worth giving them a try if you're near the "city of Orange Park" (some people call it the real Orange Park) near the town hall. They have a small tienda with Hispanic brands that you won't always find elsewhere. I stock up on dried chiles when I'm there. The store is very clean, service is friendly & prompt - although you may have to wait a bit since they cook to order. Seating is al fresco and they seem to add more tables and chairs each time I go - a testament to their growing popularity.

This place is a gem in Orange Park! They're more of a grocery store, but they sell tacos and plenty of other things too. It's a bit small and there's no seating but there is a small area to sit outside. Me and my girlfriend have been favoring this spot for our go to tacos. I'm biased for Barbacoa tacos and they make a pretty good Barbacoa. I've tried the al pastor, asada, chicken, and carnitas. They definitely are a must try in the Orange Park area. The woman that runs the store is a sweet old lady and and you can also call in for an order and they she will give you an estimate of when your food will be ready. It's not so much of a wait and it's worth it.

I ordered Tacos and Pupusas from here!! This gem is a Latin American grocery store and restaurant that serves authentic dishes! The tacos I ordered were pollo and al pastor and came with red and green salsa. Each bite of the tacos with the kick from the salsas was divine and filled with absolute perfection! The pupusas were pollo and chicharron served with salsa and cabbage. It was my first time trying this dish and I became a fan! Both dishes were made to order so there was a bit of a wait but it was totally worth it since the food came out hot and delicious!

I have to admit, La Sabrosa was a place that I have passed by over and over. I had no idea they serve food. And now looking back, I think of how foolish I am for not even checking in to begin with. This is a prime example of not judging the book by its cover. La Sabrosa is a GroceryRant (part Grocery, part Restaurant), serving mainly Hispanic-Latino and Mexican food. And so looking at their menu, I decided to get their 3 tacos deal for $9, opting to get 2 Pupusas and 1 Steak Taco. It took awhile to get my food, because it was made to order. But it was well worth the wait. Folks, the food here is legit; authentic. What may seem small on the outside is big in the inside, big as in Big Taste. I am already planning to come back here to try one of their soups....well...amongst others. Additionally, they have outside seating, as well as a covered patio to accommodate seating. I'll be back.

La Sabrosa is the kind of place you would drive by without a second thought, which is a shame. For within those humble walls is a kitchen that kicks out some serious food. I stopped in and ended up selecting three tacos and a papusa. The tacos were carne asada, chorizo, and carnitas and came with a spicy salsa (or you could get mild) and for the papusa, I had chicharron. The food was divine. Nothing fancy, but the kind of food that leaves you dreaming of back alley adventures south of the border. I am fortunate that I have sampled some great cuisine in my time. Work takes me to a multitude of cities and I have sought and found the best (as well as the worse) food. I have eaten at many high end places, but the places that frequent my thoughts are often humble spots like this. It is places like here that cooking is seen as an art that was handed down as a heritage and legacy from parent to child and not as a craft taught in a culinary school by instructors who give fancy terms to simple culinary steps. It is food like this that speaks of the family that created it, of the generations who learned as a child to pass down to their children. It is a history of that family. It is a story of triumph and struggle, joys and tears, but, above all, it is always a love story.

Half of a baleada. You get 2 in your order. These are "con todo".

Best place for baleadas! Their Honduran tamiles are pretty good too! You definitely want to order ahead as they seem to always be busy! Tacos are petty good to.HonduranHonduran

So this is been on my bucket list forever for JAX Food Trip'n Adventures..But living at the Beaches, going to Orange Park is a day trip..lol Well since we were at JAX Taco Fest & the lines were long, rain was falling; we decided to ditch that scene and head over.. Do glad we did.. We were greeted by the gentleman at the register who was just plain tickled we were ordering enough food for a small army..lol But since it's a good distance from home , I wanted to give the tacos & pupuas a good try.. Tacos Chorizo-flavourful/not greasy Barbacoa-finely shredded Carne Asada-amazing flavors (Best taco) Al Pastor- flavourful/nice Sized chunks All came loaded w/ onion & cilantro Both hot sauces were thin.. Red sauce-fireball of hotness Green sauce-great flavor w/slight heat (loved it) Pupuas Cheese-these are the bomb Chicken/Cheese-i liked these better cool Bean/Cheese-Loved these..Good flavor to the beans Pupuas are best eaten w/the Curtido (Salvadoran pickled cabbage slaw) & the revueltas (tomato/red sauce-flavourful w/ lil to no heat) We will definitely be going over the ditches again to sample other items.. Tamales Sopas Huaraches Gorditas Burritos Tortas They even have a Buffet (see pic) I took many photos so I could do some research on their lil shop's groceries items.. Next visit I will make some purchases.. This is a hidden gem that delivers to the local area..(lucky ducks) If you have not made it over the ditches I highly recommend that you do.. #yelpjax #904foodadventures #salvadoran #mexican #food #tacos #pupuas

    Delish papusa with coleslaw topping

Hello Yelpers and Happy 4th!! So yesterday I decided to get some take out from this little spot!! Listen closely.......WOOWSIE WOOWSIE WOO WOO!! This is now my new Mexican food go to. Fresh made tortillas, perfectly seasoned steak, cheese papusas ( fried dough almost like a thick tortilla with melted mexican cheese) and topped with the coleslaw mix. Heavenly!! Hidden little treasure there is an outside picnic table to eat at but I recommend taking those sweethearts home! They are packed great so the tortillas will not get soggy.
