She made the experience so relaxing, even putting a weighted blanket on me, which was such a thoughtful touch. Michelle is extremely knowledgeable about lashes -- as soon as I showed her the picture, she knew exactly what style and technique to use. She also shared really helpful tips on how to care for my lashes and even gave me a sample of the lash shampoo she makes herself, along with some cute lash brushes. She shredded my beautiful curly hair into a fucking mop without telling me her plan ahead of time or asking for my approval. Bonus points for adding $10 to the agreed on price at the end. I overpaid for someone to destroy my hair. I could've done that myself. At least she was bubbly while doing all this? Posted my pictures without asking me too. Fucking hell. Kia is a Vivid Hair Specialist who has transformed my hair from its natural brown to teal, then pink with extensions, and now purple with a silver money piece! She's super sweet, and she's always been very realistic with me about what kind of maintenance certain colors or cuts need. (Despite how it may seem, I like low maintenance even though I still want fun colors.) For the time and service she provides, her rates are very reasonable. I've looked forward to every visit with her, and I feel like my self-confidence has grown not just because of my beautiful hair but also because of her positive and empowering outlook! Ariel is an amazing nail artist! I was never one to get my nails done regularly (low maintenance, like I wrote), but when I was getting my hair done, I'd see Kia's nails (always done by Ariel), and they were literally fantastic. So I gave it a whirl and got some fancy nails for a business trip. And then I asked for some fun nails for a wedding. The more I visited the salon, the more I enjoyed the ladies that worked there and the energy that I felt, and the more I wanted to come back. Now I come every 4 weeks for Ariel to do my nails. Each time I come with an idea or inspiration from Instagram, and Ariel makes magic. She's a true artist! I've never had her repeat a design in the nearly 2 years I've been going, and she's never once told me she wasn't capable of doing something I asked for. Even when I've arrived late (more often than I care to admit), she's been wonderfully kind and patient with me. Between these two wonderful ladies, I feel more beautiful and feminine than ever.
