I had a really good experience getting my eyebrows done with Julie. Her shop was easy to find, plenty of parking, and the decor of the store was welcoming and clean. Julie was right on time for my appointment and was very helpful addressing my questions regarding the skin care system I use and my reaction to waxing. I had grown out my eyebrows for over a month so that she had a blank canvas to work with. She has a very soft touch and the wax she uses is very easy on the skin. In the past my skin is usually red and sore for about 3 days but with her the redness cleared up after a couple of hours. I had informed her that I wanted to wear my eyebrows thicker and she showed me with a mirror what one eyebrow look a like with pencil and without before she finished the second. She also explained how to follow the line of hairs I had with pencil to get them to look nice and full until they've fully grown out to where I want them. Her pricing is very reasonable and she offers a lot of services for both men and women. I definitely plan to make her my go to for eyebrow maintenance. read more

Her easy conversation skills are the perfect distraction from the necessary discomfort and initial awkwardness that can accompany waxing. Wax Me! focuses solely on waxing and it shows in the knowledge and skill I experienced in every step of the process. Latex free gloves, no cross contamination behaviors, and hand washing, are just a few of the things I especially appreciate as an RN and was put at ease to see these are important to Julie's professional practice as well. The first question I usually get asked when someone finds out is 'does it hurt?' The answer depends on by who and how they do it. Male parts require specialized technique. I had damaging experiences 8 years ago the first 3 times I had waxing done that resulted in skinlayers being ripped of my privates and rough scabbing layers that healed. I was lucky I didn't suffer any tears due to the poor technique. I then learned to do it at home after some videos and buying the equipment but not without some trial and messy wax errors. Nothing like realizing at work that a missed tiny piece of wax has now attached itself to your shorts and is pulling on hair everytime you take a step. Reaching the most southernly perineum with a mirror while applying wax and holding parts out of the way is a comical juggling act. Doing the backside blind is inefficient and time consuming. Wrong temperature, wrong type of wax, and incorrect technique can end you up in the ER with some red faced explaining to do. I'm good at doing it myself after years but Wax Me! has it mastered right here in town. 85$ for a male brazillion treatment is a great price for the high level of care. Have it done perfect, quick, avoid the mess, and no need to barricade the bathroom door for an hour. The first time for anyone is the most painful because you have the most hair being pulled at once and inexperience with having it done. It is much more comfortable in later treatments. Julie applies a barrier that is essential for comfort and protecting anyone's skin from damage. It also helps to decrease inflammation from the wax overly adhereing to the skin during removal. She removes just the right amount of wax at a time which makes her technique safer and I found it to be as comfortable as it can be. Good distracting conversation to focus on all the while. The type of waxes and how she used them were perfect for comfort, safety, and efficiency. I am sure Wax Me! and Julie are excellent at providing their whole menu of services to both women and men. I can tell you as a man that if you had concerns about trying male "Brazilian" type waxing for cleanliness or whatever, that the professionalism, environment, value, and safety at WaxMe! is second to none.
