Family owned vibes, laid back atmosphere. There were some fun, interesting rolls and nigiri available that I haven't seen elsewhere. As with other reviewers, I thought things could've been a bit cleaner (there was rice stuck on the bottom of one of my dishes and my fork had splotches), but service was attentive and our waitress came to check on food and drinks multiple times. The sushi we tried was fresh and flavorful, but the rolls definitely felt on the smaller side.

Really wanted to love this place -- it's a small, local sushi spot with a loyal crowd and super friendly service. Our waitress even went out of her way to hand-make a chili for us when we asked for more spice (which was such a nice touch). That said, the food itself fell a little flat. The dishes I tried just lacked flavor and depth -- nothing particularly bad, just not very memorable. On the bright side, they do offer a ton of vegetarian and vegan options, which is great for plant-based diners. Overall, it's a decent choice if you're nearby, but not one I'd go out of my way for.

Not much customer service walking in. We were directed to a table and sat there for a while before they brought menus. Drinks orders were also slow. The food did are quickly. We ordered 7 rolls and they were good. The restaurant was bigger than I thought.

For some reason I never experienced very good service here so I take my food to go. The place is super casual and not as clean as some other sushi places in town, however sushi here is pretty good. I ordered a squid salad which had a lot of flavor, Oregon roll was fresh and tasty. Their eel unagi is amazing

We got 3 high chairs and all 3 were very sticky and dirty. We left them out for her to clean and the waitress literally told us to put them back. I told her they needed to be cleaned before putting them back. She started making a scene and telling all the other customers around we were rude and got all the high chairs out and didn't put them back. I asked her to stop being rude and watch her attitude. She responded if you don't like it, you can leave. So we left. So disappointed, as we were regulars there and ate at that place at least once or twice a week. Never returning to that place for as long as that waitress works there.

I have been wanting to stop by and try them out for a while now I'm glad my son decided to take us here for dinner. It's a very happening place. It was extremely busy, but the staffing was very nice and kind and prompt and letting us know that they'll be clearing a table for us promptly. A little bit of a wait but the food is well worth the wait times, when our food arrived all came out so fresh hot and delicious , full of flavor. Most items are priced for what you would expect at a sit down restaurant . Both of our waitresses were extremely friendly and provided fast service. Will definitely return for more

Super fresh, super tasty, awesome staff, best sushi in Tucson, hands down! They also make rolls with no rice for me!

Menu is all I got a photo cuz the service took so long!

Sushi's not all that great, it's good but not great either. We've given this place a couple of chances but the service every time we go gets worse, even on a slow day the service draaaags, it's like they forget they have customer. The place is clean and well maintained and for that, a two stars.

    Unagi don...my favorite here.

For authentic Japanese cuisine on the East side, Sachiko is my go-to spot. Conveniently located next to Trader Joe's on Wilmot and Speedway, it's the place my family turns to for takeout whenever we're craving Japanese food. My personal favorites are the salmon kama and unagi--both consistently prepared to perfection. The restaurant is often full, so plan ahead for a little wait, whether dining in or picking up takeout, but it's always worth it. I also love the mom-and-pop feel, with pictures of their dishes displayed all around the restaurant, which adds to the charm. With friendly service and food that has been reliably delicious over the years, Sachiko has truly become a neighborhood gem.

The yellowtail was heavenly. Buttery soft and delicate. We loved every bite. Judgment of the Ahi color when it first came out I was already skeptical. Honestly there's a lot better restaurants out there with fresher fish. The salmon was the only redeeming quality. Instead of giving more fish they give Sunomono (pickled cucumber) and Korean seaweed salad I only got one cup of water and tea. Wasn't asked for a refill. Miso Soup was the machine made one so it was a bit salty.

Everything was good and since I was not able to finish my meal(I didn't know that the large portion was probably meant for two people not one, lol) I had more than half of my leftover for another meal. We will definitely revisit this place. I do have one small "complaint" about the sauce used on the chicken & beef bowl... it was very very salty. Like extremely salty. Otherwise the food was good. The meat was tender and the rice was tasty. Maybe the sauce can be served on the side or use less (sodium) for people like me that have a very sensitive palate. Just a suggestion! The bill was about $45. Simple fast food restaurant ambience, nothing fancy. We were the only customers in the restaurant at the time of our visit but I did see two customers coming in for pickup orders. Not busy at all. Maybe it gets busy at the end of the week or weekends.

For my first visit, I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl--probably the most classic item on the menu. The portion size was generous, the presentation was neat, and the service was quick and friendly, making for a great first impression. The only reason I didn't give a full five stars is that the chicken itself lacked flavor. It didn't have much seasoning or that grilled, smoky taste I was hoping for, though the teriyaki sauce did add a nice sweetness and depth. Overall, I'm still looking forward to coming back to try other items on the menu. It's nice to see a new, casual Japanese spot bringing more variety and flavor to the area.

A couple weeks later, I made my way back for a dinner date with my husband. The restaurant is cozy and welcoming. I learned they have been there for about 10 years, and I am bummed I didn't know about them sooner because man, did it hit the spot. The pho is insanely flavorful, served steaming hot and probably the best I've had. We also tried some sushi rolls and were not disappointed. I placed the order by phone and it was ready when I arrived. I chose the rare beef and meatball and looked forward to getting home for lunch. The soup was still piping hot, which I appreciated. The broth was in a styrofoam cup with lid and the "rare" beef and meatball slices were in with the broth, so no longer rare. I would have much preferred the raw meat be put in the bowl with the noodles, jalapeños, and bean sprouts so I could add it when I was ready to eat. The pho broth had the right flavor, but not the depth of my not-open-on-Tuesday favorite. The beef was not rare and not plentiful; the meatball slices were fine. There is enough for lunch tomorrow, so the $18 cost was reasonable enough.
