    Spicy Tuna Roll, Rainbow Roll

We love this place. Went again for my birthday and were surprised to see that the menu had changed. We had specifically gone for the Tray in the USA boat which they were kind enough to still make. The new menu is smaller, though still good. One change I hope they make is for the specialty rolls to not all be fried. As mentioned, we ordered the Tray in USA boat, with the traditional rainbow roll replaced with their new Rainbow Ceviche roll (delicious!). All of the rolls were really great. Additionally, they were able to blend the options of beef balls and brisket pho which again was really great. Some of the best pho we've had. Their edamame is the best too! They season with some type of garlic furikake, so yummy. Seaweed and cucumber salad was also good. The new dessert, taiyaki, was sooo delicious! Fresh out of the fryer, it's a fish shaped churro dough filled with redbean and topped with chocolate syrup. I don't like chocolate so we asked for it on the side. I wish it came with a ball of vanilla ice cream, hopefully that will be available in the future. Worth a visit!

The food was really fresh and the sushi rice definitely made standards. It fulfilled my cravings and made me overall happy! The crab in the California Roll was delicious and my father really enjoyed the Caterpillar Roll as-well as an Egg roll with excellent crunch! The workers were SO sweet and generous to help answer any questions we had without any complaint. The ambiance had great vibes too! I hope we go back soon to enjoy some more delish sushi! I definitely recommend Fresh Sushi Pho!

2/10 - Fresh Sushi and Pho Tried this place hoping for a solid mix of sushi and pho, but unfortunately they don't really excel at either. The pho came with cilantro, bean sprouts, chili slices, and lemon already dumped into the bowl. I had to fish everything out just to get it to a baseline I could actually eat. Completely took away from the experience. The salmon sashimi bowl was also disappointing. It was drowned in soy sauce to the point where you couldn't even taste the fish. When the main ingredient gets overpowered like that, what's the point? Overall, not impressed. Definitely not worth a return trip.

Delicious food, fast service, relaxed atmosphere, fair prices, cold drinks. The only negative thing I could say is menu is a little small, but worth it!

Great little restaurant with a large variety menu with great prices. We started with eggs rolls and fried gyoza. Followed by two sushi rolls. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Service on point to fast and friendly.

Pho Nam (L) was truly delicious.

I ordered the Pho Nam (beef) and a spicy tuna roll for delivery and it was a great experience overall! Fast too! Delicious, flavorful broth. The Pho came in a large double decker type of plastic container that separated the fresh ingredients you put in the broth-like sprouts, cilantro, fresh ramen noodles, jalapeño, and more-in top while the spices of beef were in the bottom with the broth. The lid was impossible to pry off. I literally had to break it off. But once off it was cool to dump the fresh stuff into the broth and mix it up and slurp away. I dove into the sushi first - a spicier tuna roll than I've had in awhile, but I liked it! I'll be back to maybe dine in to get the service and ambiance of the place-it's in the strip mall across from Walmart off Kolb. But for takeout it truly hit the spot on all cylinders. Great place!

Great little Sushi and Pho place near a busy intersection, and in a quiet strip mall. This location is behind a street facing Oink restaurant and DSW. Very non-descript location facing the large mall parking lot. Don't let the plain location fool you! The interior is very nicely furnished and the staff immediately greeted me in a very pleasant manner. I took a chance on this location as I was in the area and I was not disappointed. My order was to-go so I did not get the full experience, and I noted they were not busy inside, but did a fair amount of to-go business. Prices were not bad. Phone ordering was quick and easy. They have credit card, cash and tap to pay. My Pho order of beef slices was excellently packed with a very tight double layer package. Much better than the standard styrofoam loose lid type, you usually get. The top held the veggies and noodles, and the bottom had the broth with beef. Veggies seemed a little steamed by the time I got home (was delayed over 30 minutes driving home), but the broth, beef and noodles were perfectly displayed. The entire meal was great and met our expectations. I want to come back and try out the seated restaurant experience and some sushi. The ratings are wonderful, the people are great, and it is a very convenient location on the east side.

This is a hidden gem at the intersection of Broadway and Kolb behind the In&Out. Fresh vegetables are signature to their dishes. I liked it so much I went two days in a row. First time I had the dinner course Ramen with chicken. Second time I had Teriyaki Chicken. It has a very quiet atmosphere. Only drawback, was on the first visit, a female server wasn't very helpful. I asked her to explain a couple of dish's. She replied "explain"? And merely pointed to what the menu said. Second time was much better with a different server. All that aside a great place

We came for a late lunch stop. The flavor of the teriyaki chicken was so good. We all really enjoyed it. We ordered the fried rice without veggies. It was a little dry but nothing some soy sauce couldn't fix. The Ramen were super yummy. I really liked the beef and the fact that it wasn't tough and chewy. The overall look of the restaurant is casual and family friendly. Our server was fast and attentive.

This is my second time here, and instead of (delicious) pho like last time, I had a ton of sushi! Each roll was fantastic and fresh. I had never heard of an arizona roll, so of course I had to try. The fresh jalapenos add a great kick! I also tried the 8-man roll for the first time. It had a light sweetness that was awesome paired with the spicy salmon or arizona roll. I'll be back soon!

    Paradise and Firecracker Rolls

While out and about in an area of Tucson I have yet to explore, my son and I had lunch here, and it was a good choice. We ordered the Paradise Roll (Shrimp tempura, avocado, spicy crab inside, top w spicy salmon and sushi sauce), Firecracker roll (Yellowtail, avocado, cucumber, top w spicy tuna, jalapeno and sushi sauce) and the Spider Roll (Soft shell crab, avocado, cucumber inside, top w crunchy onion and sushi sauce). While all were good, the Spider Roll was certainly our favorite. The real standout of the meal was the Boba Tea. I loved the Honey Dew Mellon. Our waiter never gave us a receipt which I thought was odd.

This was not what we expected but the staff was friendly and 1/2 patrons at the food hall were eating sushi. The stalls have big energy today and lots of patrons are searching for a seat. Why not give them a chance? The menu is fairly varied for a small pop-up with traditional and deep fried sushi rolls. The female wait staff is handing out egg drop soup samples to everyone, ever those eating pizza and gyros. Looking around, these rolls are huge. We chose the Sonoran roll with shrimp tempora, spicy tuna, spicy crab topped with seared salmon and yuzu sauce. This roll was flavorful and spicy. Another roll was the Samurai with shrimp tempora, cream cheese, avacado wrapped in soy paper deep fried and covered with spicy crab / shrimp mix baked in a spicy aioli and eel sauce. This was our favorite roll with a pop in the tempora shrimp and an uncious taste coupled with a bite. Our third and final roll was the heart attack. Another spicy roll with shrimp tempora, avacado, cream cheese topped with jalepeno, spicy crab and chef sauce. Again, another good roll and a ton of food. This food mall is in an unassuming neighborhood with a smiling server who is hustling like crazy. The sushi was good, unique and tasty. It was a huge amount of food. Give this hard working staff and chance, she is enthusiastic and working hard. To the staff at Samurai Sombrero who are working hard and obviously, not a trained sushi chef. To the public, take a chance, give Samurai Sombrero a try and judge for yourself.
