Maria can really clean and her helper was pretty good. They were hired to do a "move-out" cleaning, which has to thorough. I did have to point out shutters that were missed by her helper. The house looked good, but it did not pass the "walk through" because of places that weren't quite as clean as should have been. I should have checked the work at the end, so I recommend that you do that. Otherwise, I think the work was OK. read more

Horrendous company and Angela Arthur is a nightmare. We used this service 3 times. The first time they did a great job. After that it was downhill. We were very clear that we were a busy family and needed help with picking up the kids rooms and putting away clutter in addition to the normal dusting and vacuuming. Angela was insistent that this was fine. 3 people came and we were charged for EACH of them which was not what we were told would happen. They did not even step foot in the kids rooms (we have cameras). On top of it one of the cleaners was kicking my VERY OLD cat and then locked her in the cabinet that was childproofed. When I spoke to Angela she only seemed to be concerned about how cool it was that I have security cameras and could I see if they did a good job? No, honey, they didn't. Eye roll. She was incredibly combative and even hung up on me when she didn't like what I had to say. We refused to pay. Angela tried to scare us by threatening to sic her lawyer on us. He even called us. We did not return the call and did not pay. Haven't heard from her since thankfully. Don't use this garbage, classless company. Angela lies about pricing, standards, and available services and when you confront her on issues she is combative, disrespectful, rude, and unaccountable. STAY FAR AWAY!!! I'm struggling between two and 3 stars. They did do an okay job but it was such trouble to get them here! I confirmed 4 days before for a certain time and then they texted me the night before to confirm for 6 hours earlier! big problem! more miscommunication occurred and eventually I had to settle for two hours earlier than planned (but I got a 20$ discount for the troubles). This was my first time with a house cleaning service and when the website said 130 for 4 hours. I assumed it was four hours. But I guess its really 2 hours if they have 2 people. Confusion on my part. I still have more cleaning to get done but I'm going to find another company. Too much hassle! All in all I say don't use this service. read more

It took me far longer than I'd expected to find a good, reliable, eco-friendly housecleaning service in the area (sometimes even just getting someone to call you back). So I'm quite pleased to have found California Green Clean. The CGC employee who cleans my house has done so three or four times now, including an initial deep-cleaning followed by a couple of bi-weekly cleanings. All told, she's done a great job, from calling me the night before to remind me of the appointment to being punctual to getting everything nice and clean during each visit. So it's clear to me CGC makes an effort to find and retain good workers. Also, I like that the company uses non-toxic cleaning supplies. It's better for the planet and for my own health -- and it has no impact how clean your house ends up. One another thing: The owner is very professional. She came by home to tell me about the service, which she described in great detail. She gave me written estimate, including a breakdown of the charges. Additionally, she addressed a issue I raised early on pertaining to a misunderstanding over a rate. She addressed my complaint with professionalism and integrity. A couple of caveats: 1. They bring their own cleaning supplies but ask that you purchase from them a specific type of microfiber cloth. The bunch I purchased ran $25. It seemed a bit unorthodox, though the company has a reasonable explanation for the practice. And again -- you don't need to buy other cleaning supplies. 2. Relatively speaking, the service is probably on the more expensive side of the house-cleaning spectrum, though definitely not unreasonable. I say this based on the several weeks of service. 3. I experienced some minor yet notable service hiccups early on that had nothing to do with the cleaner but that gave me pause. Ultimately, they were not indicative of any hiccups to come. read more

Decided to hire Sacramento Green Clean after my under the table cleaning lady went MIA and decided to stop showing up...a few months had gone by and my house was a mess thanks to my 90LB yellow lab that sheds more then I thought was humanly possible. When my cleaner showed up she was very friendly and made me feel safe leaving her in my house to go run errands instantly. She asked for any special instructions and got to work. First things first my favorite part about this company is that they provide all cleaning supplies....She brought a vacuum, mop, and every possible cleaning spray one might need. I didn't need to provide anything unlike previous services I have used. With that being said also no dirty rags afterwards, I used to have to do a load of dirty rags after my last cleaning lady came and then it would stink up the following load of clothes which was a pain. I was also very impressed with how clean my bathrooms were, the tile (from 1960's) looked new and the shower was the cleanest i think i have ever seen it. Also, there was literally not a single sign of dog hair anywhere which i didn't know was possible! All in all, sure this place ended up being about $15 more then my under the table cleaning lady but i think that is more then worth it for a reputable company that backs their employers with insurance etc if something were to happen while cleaning...not to mention the cleaning supplies being included. Elsa does a wonderful job cleaning our house. She always finishes our 1100 square foot house in about 2 hours. I love coming home to a sparkling clean house without choking on the harsh chemicals used by other services. Angela and Sally are also easy to reach and are professional. Angela is so responsive and kind. It's easy to get answers to any questions you may have or discuss any concerns. Landi has been cleaning our house and she has done an unbelievable job. She goes above and beyond to make sure everything is clean and tidy (even things I wouldn't have thought of like window railings.) We have a cat and a dog and our house is spotless when she leaves. Sacramento green clean came to our house with us understanding that it was to be a flat rate per hour. Once the two ladies arrived they went ahead and cleaned the house and did a very good job. First there was a miscommunication with the person on the phone then once they came to our house lead cleaner confirmed that it would be the flat rate that was agreed upon. when the two ladies were done we were then told that it is a flat rate per person not a flat rate so it was basically doubled what we were quoted. The next day we communicated this with the office administrator and she gave us no resolve she argued with us that it was a miscommunication but made us know offers to reduce the price. I have to give a 1 star for the service I received yesterday. The take away message of this review is that if you request cleaning service from this company, please make sure you are at home ALL THE TIME and make sure they are actually doing their jobs and make sure you ask them ahead how long it will take to clean the house. There are 3 people coming to my apartment to do a move-out cleaning. The first hour when I was there, they were professional and doing really well. However, the second hour, I trusted them and left them alone at house. I came back by the end of the second hour. They told me they needed extra hour. My apartment was really small. 3 people should be able to finish within 2 hours. I could see that they didn't actually make much progress since I was gone. And they promised me at the start, we could finish within 2 hours. But in fact they didn't. I gave them a lot of free stuff, like my laser printer (worth $199), shoe racks, etc. They took all of them BUT LEFT THE TRASH behind. I didn't know this until I opened the door and found out there were 3 bags of trash. For them, extending 1 hour = extending 3 hours. They obviously wanted to not only take free stuff but also earn more money. My friends and I spent 1 hour to finish the rest of the cleaning work which COULD BE DONE IN THE SECOND HOUR. read more

The cleaning service is ok. The place looks great afterwards but if you are picky and expect them to be really thorough, you might be disappointed. If you look under things and hard to reach places, or expect your blinds to be dusted, it will fall short. They give you this sheet to fill out, to point out if they missed anything, but shouldn't they just use the sheet to not miss anything? I'm not sure if it's because the cleaner just doesn't have enough time, but I've used one other cleaning service and they were definitely better, they're not green though and I moved out of their service area. When the business owner (who is really nice) is appraising, she says they will do this and that but then the cleaner may not do it as part of the routine. The cleaner I have is super nice and will do requested stuff though. My biggest gripe is Sally at the office. She is often rude and condescending and I loathe talking to her. She likes to lecture you whenever she can. I wish there was someone nicer at the office. read more

These cleaners kick some serious ass. I hired them for a move-out cleaning. What would have taken me all day, and some therapy afterwards (the bathroom was pretty disgusting I'm a little ashamed to admit), took these green cleaners two hours (four total, two cleaners cleaning simultaneously). I barely had enough time to take my last load of belongings to the new place, pick up a coffee, and get back to them before they were finished. And the place was spotless. We did not receive our reminder phone call for our next cleaning and when I called CGC they were great about getting us on the schedule ASAP and even gave us $20 off our next cleaning. $20 is $20.
