I would bet money that this place is a scam. Look elsewhere! We scheduled a massage for 12:30 pm on a Saturday and had to prepay because we scheduled within 48 hours. They didn't show up at the scheduled time and when I contacted them 30 minutes after the appointment time they said their therapist called in sick and they were looking for someone else. I told them I wanted a refund and they said no problem. Two days later instead of a refund they are now telling me that they can give me a credit. We live out of town and obviously won't be using that. They claimed I cancelled, but they didn't show up! I am now disputing this with my credit card company. Please please please don't waste your time! Update: In response to the owner's response to my original post, let me just also post a screen shot of our communication when I inquired as to why the therapist was not yet at the house fifteen minutes after the scheduled appointment time. If you look at her response, it is clear they did not yet have anyone lined up for a later time even though she states here that she informed me (through the system-who checks that? How am I supposed to know there's a message for me?) that she had pushed the appointment to 2:30, two hours after our agreed upon time. Who does that without making sure it is ok with the client? So unprofessional. It is clear that she is lying. I am in the middle of disputing this with my credit card company. Please save yourself the headache and find another massage provider. ZERO STARS. We booked two massages for a girls' trip and our therapist never showed for the appointment time. When we reached out to the company to find out what was going on, they claimed the therapist called in sick and they were working on finding a replacement for later that day. Why on earth would you not notify your customer if this was the case. We had to contact them! And they wouldn't even call back. It was all via text message.  Anyhow, waiting for them to "find a replacement" was not going to work for our schedule. Which is why one makes an appointment for a specific time. And if your therapist is at the last minute no longer available, then it is not up to the customer to accommodate the company.  The company offered to refund the charges. A week later we are still dealing with trying to get the money reimbursed as this company is now stating they don't offer refunds.  So sad that what was supposed to be a relaxing treat for two moms has turned into such a nightmare and the exact opposite of what we thought this company would be providing. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. I bought a Groupon and scheduled an appointment. Then they scheduled me for an additional appointment for a consultation that I wasn't aware of. The consultation was an extra $70. This wasn't in the Groupon fine print. Every time they scheduled my appointments for the consultation I canceled because I wasn't going to pay extra. My Groupon was also marked redeemed. At this point I reached out to Groupon to initiate a refund and they claimed the merchant said I violated policy by canceling less than 48 hours before my appointment. First of all, I didn't agree to these random appointment dates. Second of all, I wasn't going to pay extra for a consultation that wasn't included in the Groupon. Please don't use Groupon, or go to these people. I just got robbed and my gift to my mother was ruined. read more

Our small not for profit organization reached out to Sacramento Mobile Massage Therapy to provide chair massage to our staff. We can't speak to the quality of the massage, but we can speak to their rigid and rapacious policies. Not only do they require complete pre-payment (not a deposit, but prepayment of the entire service plus mandatory 20% tip) they also charge 3.5% as a processing fee to simply pay for the service; which they claim is standard practice (it's not standard practice, it's called overhead & greed). They also require 10 days advance notice. The list of their requirements go on and on. Generally, I can appreciate professional organizations having clear policy and guidelines. However, this place rubbed me the wrong way and required an extraordinary level of fuss, instructions, and hassle to even schedule something. I see other reviewers have similar experiences with rigidity and their preoccupation with policy and fees over service. Fortunately, there are many other massage therapy providers in the area. I would strongly suggest seeking other providers before wasting your time with Sacramento Mobile Massage Therapy. My hope is that they make improvements to their process. It's unfair to the therapists that are losing out on work because their scheduling and accounting practices are sub par. Oh and their rate is $145 / hour. Which is fairly high and you'd think they could cover the 3.5% processing fee they incur by requiring full prepayment more than week in advance of the services been provided. In fact, I've never heard of a massage therapy service requiring full prepayment (including tip). The whole thing feels a bit scammy. read more

This is a review about their polices and how inflexible with an existing client. First I received a text about my upcoming appointment and I responded that I needed to cancel. I did not know that they did not get my cancellation text until I received notice that my appointment was confirmed. I immediately at 42 hours in advance let them know I canceled with a text back to their reminder text. I was told I would be charged full price for an appointment that was canceled. I missed the window by 6 hours. Things come up and it would be in the company's best interest to work with me and not lose me over this insane policy that is not flexible. I asked if I could reschedule and the answer was no and I still had to pay for the appointment I cancelled. I asked can I pay 50pct and the answer was NO. Do not use this company if you have things come up at the last minute. I have worked for A company for over 35 years and if we were not a customer based company and held our ground and never offered any flexibility how do you think we would stay in business? Especially in these days when people are sick with Covid etc. a little understanding and empathy for people if your in the customer service business is essential!!! read more
