It was quick and easy to make an appointment on their website, and it didn't require a security deposit either. I arrived to get my conch piercing at 5:30 pm and I was out by 6 pm. I was a little nervous and had lots of questions about the piercing itself and the after care. I also had not gotten a piercing in years, so I was worried it would be painful. They were kind and allowed my two friends to come to the back with me to hold my hand (I know... I'm a scaredy cat). Mitch walked me through everything that was going to happen- for example, "okay, you're gonna feel a small pinch first and then you'll feel some pressure." He also said that my only job was to keep breathing. He had me take one deep breath in and then exhale out right as he did the piercing, too. As you can tell, the team is very patient and kind here. This is a great spot for anxious girlies or for your first time getting a piercing. Their piercing and jewelry pricing is all fair. My conch piercing costed $45 plus the 14K gold jewelry I chose. Unlike other shops, they had a huge selection of yellow gold and rose gold options that were actually cute- flowers, stars, moons, etc. On average, I saw the stud earrings were about $60-170 each. They also tallied up my total prior to actually getting the piercing, so there weren't any surprises at the end when I paid. They sent me home with a detailed after care guide too. I've already told friends and family about this shop being a great option for them when they come visit Utah.

I took my daughter to Derek on the recommendation of one of his clients that has followed him for years. She had gotten several of her piercings done by him and has always been pleased and they look great. So I felt confident that he would be the right person to take my daughter to. And he didn't let me down!! We went in wanting a double Helix piercing. He explained everything clearly and let her pick out her jewelery. No pressure, he wanted her to get what she liked, not what we thought would look good. It is her body, her choice. Derek is so professional at his job, it put my daughter at ease. She has anxiety, PTSD, and is on the Autism Spectrum. He didn't treat her any different. He talked her through the process,with patience and kindness. Once the sanitation process was complete we were ready to begin. He was so smooth and confident in his composure, she didn't realize he'd begun. She didn't even flinch. I'm so pleased that I chose Blue Lotus Body Adornments to be the 1st my daughters 1st piercing experience. It set a standard that I hope she will remember. Not only her future piercings, but those of her friends who may want things done. It gives me peace mind that I've given her a place she knows will give her the best and cleanest piercing. Best Experience Ever!!! Derek is absolutely AMAZING!!! I live in Texas but grew up here and have been pierced by some awesome people who have since moved or gone their own way. I started following Derek and then the shop on Facebook quite a while ago since I kept seeing a lot of great things about him and he gives off a very friendly vibe so I knew I wanted to get pierced by him. I came to Utah to visit family and i HAD to get in to see him. SO GLAD I DID!!! He is incredibly awesome and personable. I have pretty bad social anxiety and am a mess when meeting new people, I can easily make things super awkward and Derek didnt really bring that out in me. He talked to me like a friend but also kept it professional and informative. He explained exactly what he was going to do and what his plan of attack was for my specific piercing needs. Not going to sit here and beat around the bush. I'm the owner of this establishment and I strive in high quality piercings/jewelry I want nothing but the best experience for my clients. And if you felt like you didn't get that here please let me know. So we can try and make it right. All I can say is be careful out there. In the whole state of Utah there is only 5 studios that does high end piercings with high end jewelry I'm one of those 5. I'm still new still building up my inventory. I can order you whatever you want but if you need it sooner than I can make it happen I may be able to get a friend from another state to send me what you desire or refer you to someone local that may have it. Do I want you to come to me for piercings indeed I do I have kids to support. However what matters most is you all getting pierced by reputable piercers using high quality jewelry. read more

Hey y'all if you are looking for an amazing piercer that knows what they are doing Derek is your guy! He will make your visit well worth it(: He is a very sweet, social, outgoing, type of dude. My experience with getting pierced was one I won't forget. Instead psyching me out about my piercing he helped me by taking my mind off of it and talking to me about life and then pierced me. It didn't even hurt. I could not be happier with my cheek piercings! I had them once before but for reasons had to take them out and really wanted them back. I was concerned about the scar tissue and how my cheeks would handle being pierced again. Derek was phenomenal with talking to me about the different options that I had available, and extremely patient with all of my questions. It's now been about 5 weeks my cheeks have been doing so amazing, they look great! To top it all off I really appreciated that he messaged me stating that it might be time to downsize my jewelry and check on how my healing was going this far. I have 4 piercings from Derek and my most recent was in this new space. The shop set up is very inviting and he is transparent and honest about his sanitation practices. He carries a variety of options for jewelry at several price points but is not pushy about trying to up-sell you to the more expensive ones (except they're gorgeous and totally worth it). If this is your first time being pierced or if you're an expert he still gives great aftercare advice. Derek has done two piercings of mine, each one was done with professionalism, respect and he calmed my nerves which I am a walking ball of anxiety and that is HARD to do. I got both my nostrils pierced from here. Not only was it clean and professional, but he took his time to make them perfectly even, which was my biggest fear (other than infection, which didn't happen thanks to the clean environment and great aftercare advice). I went to the Classic Tattoo Convention on Friday and met Jacob from Sideshow Productions. While…read morelooking through his portfolio, I saw a Seahawks piece and asked if he could do something similar for me. I showed him a reference photo and trusted him to recreate that style. What I ended up with looks nothing like the reference. The line work is rough, the proportions are off, and the overall design doesn't match what I asked for at all. The background in particular is completely different from the reference and not what I wanted. On top of that, I was originally quoted $100, but ended up being charged $155 -- and that extra cost was supposedly for the background, which doesn't even resemble the picture I provided. This is the first tattoo I've ever genuinely hated, and now I'm stuck having to look into fixing or covering it. I won't be going back. If you're considering getting work done here, I'd strongly recommend making sure you're completely confident in the artist and getting your price confirmed upfront.
