A unique safety feature they offer are an attention buttons on the side of every massage bed in the case of emergency or any reason. As a woman I think that is creative thinking that places a lot more ease in the experience. It is a bit on the pricier side but I believe you get what you pay for when it comes to health and beauty. There was no option anywhere in the booking system to apply a gift card as a payment method, and there was also no comments section to explain the situation. I assumed it wouldn't be an issue and that the payment could simply be adjusted on the day of the appointment. Two hours before my scheduled massage I was asked if I could reschedule. I was happy to accommodate and didn't mind the change. On the day of the appointment, my therapist was friendly. However, during my prenatal massage she provided a lot of unsolicited advice throughout the session, which made it difficult to fully relax at a time in pregnancy when relaxation is especially important. Still, I was willing to overlook that part of the experience. The real issue happened at checkout. I was told I could not use my gift card for the service because the appointment had been marked as "prepaid." When I explained that their online booking system doesn't provide any option to apply a gift card, there was no willingness to adjust the payment or offer any kind of accommodation. Situations like this raise concerns about poor booking systems, lack of customer flexibility, and business practices that ultimately leave customers stuck with gift cards they cannot use as expected. Customer service and long-term client relationships don't seem to be a priority here. Unfortunately, this experience ensured that I won't be returning and the gift card meant to bring in a new customer ended up doing the opposite.

Upon arriving, I was greeted in a friendly manner, and filled out their short information sheet. I met my masseur Laszlo, and we went back to the room he works in. He then proceeded to give me one of the best deep tissue massages I have ever had. Really excellent! I think I may have found my massage go to! The entire retreat area radiates an energy of peace and "Zen" from the moment you arrive. I attended the Gentle Yoga class led by Cristina, and she was incredible. She is soft-spoken, calm, and clearly very knowledgeable in the yoga arts. Her guidance helped me achieve a genuine sense of alignment and body harmony; it was the perfect environment to relax and deep-stretch. I also brought my mother along, who is a beginner. Cristina's teaching style was perfect for her, helping her find a great balance of movement without feeling overwhelmed. This is hands down the place I would choose to visit during times of turmoil or distress. I know that stepping onto this property and into one of these classes would immediately help me reclaim my peace. Highly recommended!

I started with prenatal massages, which you can read about in my first review, and I continued to go for a monthly massage postpartum. You cannot beat the price. She has raised her prices a little, but you can still buy a package where each massage will end up being less than $50. This is absolutely amazing when you compare it to other places. She also always goes beyond the full hour. Usually massage places take away time that you undress and get into the bed. Not Valerie. I routinely notice that I leave fifteen minutes past the hour. I get cupping done and it helps loosen my muscles. I tend to work out at least five times a week and I'm terrible at stretching so I do this as a way to try to thank my body. It is so relaxing and healing all at the same time. Whenever people talk about going other places for massages I think you're definitely paying more for the same, or lesser, quality. I should probably start voicing these opinions to be a good friend. Well, I'm telling the world here, so that should count for something. Just don't fill up my monthly massage spot!
