It also has the gas pumps, so it's super convenient. The service here is top-notch. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they make checkout a breeze with plenty of registers open. Even the self-checkout is well-managed, with multiple associates on hand if you need any help. The shelves are stocked, with a fairly larger selection than most other Krogers nearby. The meat and bakery departments have a good range of fresh and prepared options. The store itself looks great, with a modern design that feels fresh and clean. The layout flows really well, so you don't feel cramped even when it's busy. I don't make it to White House often, but when I do, this Kroger will definitely be a stop!

There are 3 grocery stores I end up at regularly in this general area depending on what part of the…read morecounty I'm in that day but I wager I'm at this particular Food Lion 2-3 times per month and have been for the past two years or so. It's actually gotten better over time particularly in terms of meat and produce selections. The store is clean and the service, particularly the front end, is usually pretty friendly and efficient. Checking out, though there is no self-service option, is usually pretty quick as I've rarely been in line more than 5 minutes or so. Produce options are usually pretty good and as mentioned have gotten better over the past year or so. You're not going to get everything that a Kroger or up might offer but you're far better off than at a Walmart. I have never seen anything wilted or rotten and prices are competitive. Meat---there isn't a fresh meat cut-to-order counter but there's a nice selection of fresh chicken, beef and pork. Seafood used to be sorely lacking but it's gotten much better recently. Of course, much of it though in the fresh department is from frozen but then again, Middle TN isn't ocean-front and seafood does turn fast. Aisles, Dairy, Bakery and Deli are all decent to solid. There are always certain items missing that are regulars on my list that I have to wait for another grocery trip to get and my wife has even listed those items on comment cards to no avail but really they have the staples and they have decent prices. Oh---they also now carry wine, a surprisingly strong selection of it and not a bad beer selection either.

He's always the one that stops by there so I'm not sure if it's a combo or if he just picks everything independently. The Meal.. Fried Chicken, Mac &Cheese, Mashed Potatoes with Gravy, Green Beans & Biscuits. It is literally the BEST fried chicken I've had outside of my granny's. The first time my husband brought this home my mother in law had dinner with us & none of us could believe how delicious this meal was. Everything was so good that now we get it at least once every 2 weeks, at least. My husband and I are even guilty of getting up in the middle of the night and eating whatever chicken was left (if there is any) and we eat it cold. Believe it or not it's just as good cold. The Mac and cheese is made with white cheese, which we all really liked a lot. And almost nothing beats dipping the biscuits in the mashed potatoes and gravy. We had it again tonight and as usual it didn't disappoint. Plus it's a great thing to have something so good in our little town. There isn't a whole lot of options without having to drive to the neighboring town.
