Hot Prepared Food: - Tripas Tacos: Good size tacos, plenty of filling and I love the fixins they come with! Grilled chili, radish and cucumber. Can't beat it! $2.49/ea - Tamales: Three of them fill up the to-go box, I can wolf down 2 but 3 put me over the edge haha. Their pork is really great, but I looove their jalapeño cheese tamales! They are super flavorful and moist, one of the very best I've had. $2.50/ea - Chicharonnes & Chicharonnes con Carne: They fry the pig skins/pork belly fresh throughout the day. Very good and sold by weight. Carniceria/Meat Counter: Great selection of some hard to find cuts. They even have flanken short rib! My favorite though are the marinated cuts- their Al Pastor is so juicy and tender- we made it for meal prep and also quesadillas for our Memorial Day party. They also have the real sugar Mexican coca colas, jarritos and all sorts of snacks and candy. The produce looked fresh, it's a small section of staple veggies and fruit. And of course, the service is always top notch. Everyone is so friendly and helpful - always providing great suggestions. This is a wonderful addition to White House- we're lucky to have some of the best Mexican food in Nash Metro up this way! PS: Salsa is FIRE! read more

This place absolutely RULES! I am a local around here, and I am so glad that we have a legitimate, authentic taqueria in this town. Don't get me wrong, I love the Tex-Mex places that we have, but this is in a whole different league. Los Altos may deceive you, because it looks like a little market / grocery store (which it is, and it is great). But, in the back, they have a small to go only taqueria that serves only the basics: burritos, tacos, tortas, tamales, and quesadillas, all with a choice of fresh meats. Honestly, everything is amazing. No notes - I have loved everything I have tried! The carnitas is my favorite meat, but you can't go wrong. Street tacos are great, quesadillas are good, chicharrones (Mexican pork rinds) are the best I have had since living in San Antonio, Texas. If you like pork rinds that is reason enough to come here. This place is amazing! Just a little market that serves hot food/meals as well. The Al pastor street tacos had great flavor and were very good. Now, the best part for me was the pork tamale. I won't ever put another tamale over my dad's homemade ones, but these tamales were up there and sooo delicious. They overflow with meat, and the meat to masa ratio was perfect. There's a lot of places that have a ton of masa and a sliver of meat, not here. I wish we weren't an hour away or else this would be somewhere I'd go weekly if not daily. read more

Stopped here today for a quick bite after the local reviews. Very good authentic Mexican! Good people, cleanly atmosphere, and a positive experience overall. Got the Quesabirria (order of 3) and a beef tongue taco. Both were excellent dishes and very affordable. The side sauces were delicious as well. I will definitely be back! read more

It's a little Latin grocery store but hidden in the back is a Mecca of authentic foods. Rare choices of meat like tongue. Homemade tortillas and sopa's. These favorites plus a plethora of other choices. They even had ceviche. The staff was very busy, but they were all very pleasant. read more

It was okay... ordered a carne asada burrito. It was alright, but the burrito looked like it was on a diet, not much meat in it and it was like the size of a Taco Bell burrito... basically it looked sad. There salsa was really good on the other hand. The tamales were decent but there was a lot of "debris" crunchy stuff that I chose not to see what it was I just spit it out. Needless to say, if you want repeat happy customers don't skimp when someone orders a burrito. People order burritos for a reason. I will try again and hope to update my review with a better one. read more
