Ever since this new owner took over, the quality is gone down from the food to service. The rice is Mexican style, not Persian. They use way too much yellow food coloring instead of normal saffron in their rice. I understand saffron is more expensive, but you can use turmeric instead. I ordered to go today but literally dumped their food in the trash after tasting it. A month ago, I went here and witnessed the kitchen crew eating while standing in the kitchen and then started preparing food for customers without washing their hands, I thought I would give them another chance so I tried again today. All guys on the floor constantly touched their faces and continued working. The girl who was folding napkins had plates pushed against her body while bringing them to the bar area. Not sanitary! A few weeks ago my friend was craving Persian food and I referred her to this filthy place because we don't have choices in TO, her 12 years old daughter went in to grab the food while her disabled mother stayed in the car waiting for her right outside. The 12 years old girl was asked to sign the receipts which contained the cashier adding tips for himself without the card holder's knowledge. This is FRAUD/illegal!!! I have always paid tips even for to go orders, but a cashier should not force 12 years old to sign for an adult. What has happened to ethics and good service? I do NOT recommend this place and will never give them my business ever again! read more

The service at this place was terrible. I wanted to take my mom and grandma for a nice Mother's Day lunch. As soon as we got in, one of the staff seated us at a table outside. Then the hostess rudely comes outside to ask us who sat us there like we just walked up and sat ourselves. Then nobody came to take our order for 20 minutes. Once the order was placed it took almost an hour. Not one person came to check on us to let us know the status of our food or if we needed anything. We had to flag someone down who wasn't even the waiter to get an ETA on our food. It was ridiculous, and sounds from other reviews we are not the first people to have this type of experience at this restaurant. I understand they were busy because of Mother's Day, but you don't just ignore paying customers. It was a frustrating experience, and we absolutely will not be coming back here again. read more

Oh my goodness, this place is amazing. The food is fresh, presented in a visually appealing manner, and so very flavorful. They know how to season their food. The staff was so very helpful. We had our office Christmas party there on 12/14/2021, with 25 of us. Friendly Efficiency was their priority. Communication is the key. Recommend by a friend who sent me her lunch photo - and I just HAD to go for dinner! We started with the hummus appetizer (free with in on yelp) and the maust mousier with extra raw onion on the side. SO creamy and delicious. I went with the juicy chicken which was so highly rated on yelp and chose half rice and half sharizi salad. Once the rice was combined with butter and the charred tomato I was in heaven. The chicken had a delicious marinade. I could add the maust mousier to everything. The only thing I would change next visit would be to try a different salad or stick with all rice on the side- I just wasn't crazy about the mint in the cucumber salad- it was a bit overwhelming for me. This restaurant has changed names a few times so you might not recognize it. Sadaf is our go-to for Mediterranean/Persian food. We almost always get the juicy chicken, but why not - it is delicious. And yes it is juicy. I lived in Westwood CA for a while and got used to really good Persian food. This is nearly on par with that. I'm holding back because there is something very special about Westwood Persian food that can't be replicated. But it is as close as you come outside of the West-side. All of the expected details are there - the cucumber salads, roasted tomatoes and pretty good rice (I think they should concentrate here on the rice - it can be improved). I would love to see more hummus and perhaps a bit more of the flatbread. Even with turnover (all restaurants have it) they consistently have great staff every time. Very attentive, polite and good at what they do. The small outside patio is charming and they keep their place immaculate. Waiting for a good Persian dessert in general, but theirs is ok. The staff is the real superstar here, but I don't think you will be disappointed with the food unless perhaps you are Persian and nobody can beat your mother's cooking. read more

Just finished an amazing dinner here. Arrived early on a Friday and found seating right away. Served recommend the Persian winter soup and it was delicious. We ordered the #2 combination to share. I've never had chicken that moist and tender. The meat was cooked perfectly and so flavorful. There was so much food that we almost couldn't finish it. They had a guitarist playing which gave the atmosphere that special something. This place would be excellent for date night or just treating yourself. Can't wait to come back. read more

This chinese food is really different. There is no soy sauce. But plenty of rice? None of the servers speak any form of asian. They have chicken and beef and ice for your drinks and even fish. But sometimes you can ask for yogurt too with your food. It tastes good. However dont ask for any dumplings and steamed buns. They make an amazing microwaved heated bread with butter. There are forks and spoons. Didnt see any chopsticks. Waiter said no chopsticks. The broiled tomato is awesome and so be sure to order food and get the tomato as part of entree. This place like chinese restaurants has numbers next to their items. Makes it easy to repeat the numbers. But dont forget to make an attempt for a salad too. The sauce is different then a chinese restaurant sauce. But its tasty. Ok its not a Chinese restaurant but the rice makes you wanna jam. Try them out and dont forget to do the yogi walk when leaving with a full belly. And make sure to let them know youre interested in doing a kabob dance. I cannot rave enough about this restaurant. I was there with my family a couple weeks ago for my birthday. The food is DELICIOUS, all of it. We had chicken, beef, fish, hummus, green basmati rice, and dessert. The Saffron Martini was unique and and also delicious, for sure a must try. To top it all off our server, who's name I cannot remember was the friendliest and most engaging server we have ever encountered.
