I found out later another honest & fast shop would have done for 75% less with a warranty and better with a smile and is open on Saturday if needed. So I wanted to give him another try because I am for 2nd chances. my BFF take their car into Mike, he it needed some fixed, my BFF took it to another place for pricing & they said the work did not need to be done & the car was safe for another year. Mike is always responsive and super helpful whenever I have a problem with my car. Having a 2010 Smart Car can be challenging, but thanks to the shops expertise, I never have anything to worry about. When taking your car in, make sure to get there early! The shop operates on a first come first serve basis. The earlier you are, the earlier you will get your baby back. Generally, Mike will call you back within the day (depending on the size of the repair) and will let you know what the plan of action is. Prices are fair! I'm sure there are other places where you can get things done for a but cheaper, but the quality of service is to the moon here. Our family has been using this location for over a decade and wouldn't recommend anyone else. He even gave me a recommendation for another shop today since they don't do Audio repairs! They fit me in for an oil change, and did a thorough checkup of my car. I know a bit about cars, and the advice the front desk guy was giving their customers was legit. My daughter had a headlight come out. Rather than taking it in to be serviced, we decided to just buy a bulb and put it in ourselves from an auto parts store. My husband was able to get it out easily, but was out of town when I purchased the new bulb. There was no way I was going to attempt it so being that I was right next to Saddleback Automotive, I decided to ask for some help. Mike was so nice and gladly offered to put the bulb in. This small project actually ended up taking much longer than expected due to some complications. When finished, they just told my daughter to have a good day and didn't take any money from her. Worst customer experience. From the guy servicing the vehicles, to Mark working the front office/cashier, the attitude and verbal remarks I received from both of these individuals was downright condescending and rude. Mind you, very seldom to I write reviews, but this experience certainly merited me taking time from my busy schedule to do so. On the bright side, Jiffy Lube, located in the same commercial shopping center, serviced my vehicle in less than 20-minutes. And get this - they welcomed and appreciated my business. Oh, and if that weren't enough, they vacuumed the interior of my vehicle and cleaned the windows as part of the service. Talk about exceeding expectations. read more

When Mike was closed one Saturday, I took my car to Firestone for an oil change. They told me I needed over $1,000 in work - just the way to ruin a Saturday after you think you're being all productive by getting an oil change. I took the car to Mike the next weekend, and he told me most of it wasn't necessary. Just when I thought Mike couldn't earn more of my trust, he did. We have taken our 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2011 Prius to Mike for the past few years. He has provided faster, more expert and friendlier service than Jeep or Toyota service at a small fraction of their billing. He honestly estimates his shop's availability. If tomorrow is better than today, he will tell you on the phone to save tying up your car all day at the end of a long line of cars already in the shop. He lays out options and priorities for repairs objectively and honestly. They end up costing what he estimates in advance. The work is done when promised. He takes extra care to make sure I get in an out of his shop and my hand control vehicles safely on my crutches. It's his shop, he is part of the workforce fixing the cars, and he is the man interacting with the customers. And he is a good guy. It is a stark and obvious contrast between a shop like this and other shops and car dealers where the mechanics are under the gun to produce revenue no matter what for owners who are not present, not part of the workforce and indifferent to whether today's profit comes from loyal satisfied customers or just another bunch of frustrated car owners who haven't met Mike yet. read more

However, we had some disagreement about the issue that Mike handled very respectfully and professionally that won me over as a customer. He didn't charge me for the fix just because I wasn't convinced. Clearly for him too it wasn't about the money. I went back to him a few minutes later and insisted he take the money because I had seen him work hard to fix the issue and it didn't seem fair to not pay him. We moved to Mission Viejo from Irvine about 5 years ago and were spoiled by Nick's Automotive there in Irvine. This shop is the ultimate place for a person who knows nothing about cars to take their vehicles to get the best and most honest care they'll find.
