Awesome experience this week at the shop. On Monday my daughter brought in here Genesis Coupe (Replaced clutch master cylinder, system bled, and replaced a wheel hub). I brought my GTI yesterday for some performance upgrades (IE Turbo Inlet Pipe). They do it all, from regular and preventative maintenance, to performance upgrades, you just got to ask! After multiple horrible experience with dealerships (only went there because the cars were under warranty), I decided I'd rather pay out of pocket than return. I was researching reputable shops that work on enthusiast type cars and this was one of the first that came up. They understood all my concerns and worked with me to ensure everything would be done correctly, and got me an appointment a couple days later. They did an oil change, brake fluid change, and air fitter change in just a couple of hours, and they also did a great job. I'm a firm believer that customer service is just as important as quality of work. I've been to places that performed solid work but were extremely rude and dismissive and I never cared to go back. Had two mechanics previously claim 2022 Mazda with less than 50k miles needed all tires, struts and shocks replaced, and neither were willing to elaborate on their findings. Heck they wouldn't (or couldn't based on the conversation) share even what brands they wanted to replace them with! This place is legit! Made an appointment for service last week for today. They suggested I get my oil change and see what else I would need for my car. I was kind of worried maybe they would tell me I needed to replace a bunch of different things on my car like most places try to sell you a bunch of stuff you don't really need. But they didn't. They were honest with me. They said that my air filter was a little dirty but could probably wait till the next tune up to replace it. Didn't try to oversell it or pressure me to into replacing it. Well took my truck here. They diagnosed it for $150.00. Quoted me $5,000 for repairs with install. 3000 for parts and 2000 for labor. I went bought the parts on mopars website for 1,200 bucks, and went to another auto shop and had all the work done with some extras for 1,000. Also they stole my truck engine block cover... I say stole because they never put it back on and it's been two weeks and they have not contacted me regarding it. I just found out when I took it to the other shop. Removing information about my wife's car and the prices she paid and the quotes given since I don't have the exact numbers and I don't want to oversell how expensive it was. This is a great and legit shop around the OC area! Very clean and very professional. I took my wife's car there for an oil change, new tire mount/balance and an alignment. The service took about 1.5 hrs. The car is running wonderfully! However, in the following couple of days of post service, I noticed there was a scratch on the wheel that had the new tire replaced. It did not appear to be a curb rash at all. I contacted the shop and spoke to Robert (shout-out to him! He's a great guy), and I txted him a picture of the scratches asking what may have happened. 15 minutes later I get a call back, and he apologized for the scratches and gave me a full refund for the entire service! I really appreciated the transparency. Mistakes happen all the time and the shop owned it. That's when you know this shop has high standards/honest principles and provides outstanding customer service. I will be back to have my car(s) serviced here in the future. Highly recommended. I had a very frustrating experience with this shop. I brought in a new battery from Costco that I was told fit my car. Halfway through the installation, the shop called to tell me it was the wrong battery. Since it was already 5:30 p.m. and they closed at 6 p.m, I asked if they could simply hold my car overnight until I brought back the correct battery the next morning. They refused. Instead, they said they would put the car back to its original condition but still charge me the full $175 installation fee, even though no battery was replaced. They also quoted me $575 for a new battery, which was almost $200 more than what I should have paid. The lack of flexibility and fairness was extremely disappointing. A good shop would have worked with the customer in that situation, not made it worse. I will not be returning. Update: The shop reached out and listened to my concerns. They understood that my frustration was about how the situation was handled, not the money. They apologized, offered a courtesy refund, and said they'll work on being more flexible and empathetic in the future. I appreciate that effort, even though the original situation was very stressful. read more
