Terrible business model! The service is fine, but they upsell hard and when you are ready to stop service they make it painfully hard to do it. We have tried 4 separate times of no less than one hour on the phone each time. They say they can't authorize it and you need to speak to the manager which doesn't answer the line. This is the worst! The sales person pretended to help with my budget, but in actuality did NOT. I'm on a fixed income and need to budget monthly to be able to have sufficient money for rent, food, gas, utilities, insurance,etc. The salesperson said I could pay monthly. I have even set up my account to have automatic payments every month. Still I receive nasty texts every WEEK that I'm past due. To rub salt in the wound I still have mice. None in the traps but poop in the house. Never have they found any in the outside traps. Also I have ants, not lots but a few every time I'm at the kitchen sink. They offered to have a manager come out. But of course at THEIR convenience, 4 hour window. So I can do nothing for the day. Can't cancel because that would definitely cause me a financial hardship $700+. Yrs my fault for falling for the sales pitch. CHEATS Preston came to my town August 27th and pitched his pest control service. I told him in no uncertain terms I wasn't interested. I have used Terminix for years. and I have no plans to change. This little prick sent someone out here (I don't know who) when I wasn't home and I had relatives here. my sister obviously had no idea what was going on and said no they're not here. I can't let you come and spray because this isn't my house. but I was charged $69 for a service anyway a service I made clear I did not want or need. I have a service contract specifying they come every 3 months. We just had a 13 in snowstorm and I wanted to reschedule. A simple ask right? No...not with them. I kept telling them I wanted to reschedule when the snow is melted, and they kept on saying all this blah blah blah about snow protocols and other BS. I called corporate and got more BS. Buyer beware! Ask questions and document what they say. Sold a 12 month contract with second treatment in 30 days and quarterly from there. The contact received was 18 months and follow up treatment every 60 days. And pricy. Breaking the contract after 3 days is a 50% cancellation fee. Ugh! We did call and got the contact adjusted and a $20 per treatment discount. Still pricy. We will not renew this contract with these terms. read more

They sell you on service that is cancellable, but they don't tell you that in the fine print is a cancellation clause that allows them to charge you for the remainder of the contract. Their verbal contract and the contract you sign do not match. They will charge you and will fight vehemently to keep the fee. Their business practices will not keep them around very long. Against my better judgement, we gave in to the aggressive sales approach of the door to door person who came by the house and agreed to treatment for our yard. Since the treatment on May 28, 2024 we have had a lot more pests showing up in our yard that we had previously. In fact, there have been sightings of pests we didn't have before and the ant population around our home has increased by 4 or 5 times what we had prior. I have tried numerous times to contact them through their website or email. Neither works. When you click on the contact us button it doesn't do anything. I am going to call them when I have a moment but have been out of town and came back to more pests. I also took a close look at the contract and shame on me for being so trusting. We signed it on their little screen and didn't take a close look at it (my fault again for trusting) since my mom died a couple days later and we were out of town. When I just looked today, I saw that they had not given us the price they quoted. It is almost double what they said it would be. I have now read from other reviews that it is almost impossible to cancel even after the initial contract and that they charge for services that are not administered. SCAM ALERT!! Well they started out ok. Had them for mole service and regular bug service. They quickly took my money but then they never sent anyone else out to move the mole traps (after the 2nd visit) until I called to question them. So I got the extra visits (they owed me 2) scheduled and asked about the other services I paid for and the dates in their system were different than the dates on the agreement. Very poorly run company. Of course, all of the calls are routed through one location, Fort Worth, TX. Should have continued with Clear Defense but they don't do moles. read more

We moved to Overland Park 10 days ago and signed with a pest control company a couple of days later. One of Saela's people came by today. I told him we had already signed with someone else. He kept pushing on me. Said they would pay my cancellation fee if we switched to them. Asked me if I had Venmo. He kept insisting that I go get my phone and he'd use it to cancel for me. I told him over and over that we had hired someone else. He wouldn't leave. Finally, I told him that I would talk to my husband and if the two of us were interested we would call Saela. He came back tonight. He told my husband that I told him to come back. Bull. I said we'd call if we were interested. He wouldn't take no as an answer from my husband. He finally told him to get off our property. The employee, Devon I think, said "sure, I'll leave" as he winked and gave my husband a thumbs up. This company is horrible and left us in a nightmare situation. They showed up to our house out of the blue telling us that we are still in a contract, one that at sign up we were told could be canceled anytime. We were also as far as I remember not told this when we called and thought we had cancelled the service a while back. Not only are they charging us for a service we believed we canceled and didn't think was a contract for multiple service obligations but they are charging us a additional charge because we had our house sprayed for mosquitoes that we discussed as a one off that they are telling us that we are in a contract for as well. Again I am having to contact you about the bug control issue. I continue to see ants and spiders. I feel like the biggest fool ever to seriously believe that this was actually possible to get under control. Your customer service department is absolutely ridiculous. I'm older and didn't pay attention to details of contract. The initial visit was for mice removal (cost $4000 to secure house so mice could not gain entry). In electronically signing the contract for that service I did not realize I was forced to include 4 visits at $147 for them to spray around my house. Shame on them for charging that amount! They will not provide a hard copy of contract only an email. I did not realize how inept the service was going to be. I can get out of the service and pay them 50%. Unbelievable. The service tech almost killed my family!!! They sealed my HVAC intake and exhaust when trying to seal my house for rodent entry. My HVAC would not work so I called the HVAC tech to come to take a look at my unit and that's when he found what the Edge tech had done. It cost me $200 to have the HVAC people come out and unplug the two spots. I spent over $300 having them seal about five spots. I called the customer service phone number to tell them what happened and I specifically said I want to speak to a manager. A manager never called me back, then they sent the same tech out the next day to fix the problem who didn't know what he was doing. I called customer service again to say this was not acceptable and that I still had not heard from a manager. I also told them I wanted to cancel my service moving forward and they gave me the run-around. They then had the audacity to ask me why I wanted to cancel my service even though I just told them they could have killed my family from what they did! I've never seen such horrible customer service and they don't listen. I WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS AGAIN WITH THEM!!!!! UPDATE: The next day they tried to send out the same incompetent tech to fix the problem, which had already been fixed by my HVAC tech and cost me $200. I called back the customer service number and told them I wanted to cancel my service, after I told them the whole story of what was going on, and they had the audacity to ask me why? I told them cause you almost killed my family and the company doesn't even seem to care! I also told them I didn't want the same incompetent tech back to fix the problem, because it was already fixed by my HVAC tech. They said they needed to come to fix the issue to close out the ticket then they could cancel my service. Shortly after that over 24 hours later I heard back from a manager. Told them I wanted to cancel my service and wanted a refund for all the money they had cost me. Basically, they did work that didn't need to be done (almost killing us) and cost me $200 from the HVAC tech visit. Their initial fix of the possible mouse entry points cost me $327, all they need to do was apologize and refund me the money, but they said since they were willing to come out and fix the problem they would not refund any of the money!!!! Terrible service. Terrible product. Zero results. We hired Edge to eliminate voles in our new sod. We requested 'as needed' treatments, the salesperson acknowledged this could be done and set up a service appt. The technician showed up insisting we'd agreed to a 2 year contract and guaranteed the voles would be removed. As this was the only pest control company we could find that would treat for voles, we relented. After completion of the contract, the voles were still present. During the contract period, we had various problems with spiders, ants, gnats and clover mites. Most times we called Edge to come service our home, we were told that those insects were not covered in their plans. When they did agree to treat an insect problem, it was nearly a week before they could "fit us in." I would not recommend this company for anything. We have been able to successfully treat the problems ourselves. (1 star rating is too high) read more

I can't believe I fell for this bs. When I signed up for their services I was told that their treatments would have eliminated mosquitoes, spiders and wasps because they schedule services every three months. they came out the next day after we signed up, and then never heard from them again until we called them back to report that we were still seeing pests. we specifically mentioned us having wasps and mosquitoes still, but when the guy came by, he only sprayed the base of the house. That obviously did nothing for us. Then the next day our account was charged $130, which was supposed to be the total annual charge. We had already paid them $60 upon signing up, which meant we only owed them $70 more... but it gets better. then when we call them back to let them know that we were still seeing the same pests, they threatened to charge us half of the costs for the remaining treatments for the year if we decided to cancel them. Beware of this scam. These jocks will come to your door with an Ipad in hand and a shirt and hat with their logo but by all means they intend to steal your money with their holy water pest repellent that does nothing but soak your baseboards. I hope the person running this scam goes to jail. Go look at the BBB rating and their social media pages. People are on to their bs. It's just a shame that they've been successful at scamming so many blue collar neighborhoods especially minority and low income ones. read more

Be aware if going with this company. They lock you into a long term contract, but don't make it clear. Be sure to READ what they have you sign and initial. The service tech asked me to verify my info and initial, and then asked me to sign only to verify that the last four digits of my payment method were correct. Well, that is not the only thing you are signing for. I did know what I was signing, but it would be very easy for them to slip that by someone when the tech isn't being forthcoming about what you are signing for and they pop up a signature box over the info on the form right away so that you can't even see it. Then they only spray outside most of the time apparently. I had them come in on the first visit and they didn't spray much inside at all. They also say they knock down the spider webs and such on the outside of the house, but they didn't do any of that.
