Dr. Derek spent a full two hours with me--actually going through each issue, testing, treating, and explaining what he was doing the whole time. He used a mix of techniques on both my muscles and joints, and what really stood out was how comfortable he made me feel. He talked to me like a real person, gave me the medical terms, and then broke them down using everyday examples so everything actually made sense. My knee hindered my mobility and prevented me from doing squats, jumps, and other exercises. After relating the pain to Dr. Ko, he discovered my pain stemmed from my ankle, which did not align properly after a sprain. After aligning it, he asked me to stand and I immediately felt the difference. Since then, I've have no issues with pain and can finally do squats and jumps again! (He also alleviated the pain in my neck and back in that same session.) In addition to him being an outstanding chiropractor, Dr. Ko is also very personable and considerate. The staff at the San Leandro facility have been amazing every step of the way. Yulin and Tyler have been phenomenal about finding isolating exercises to help pin point the areas I'm feeling pain.
