When we are looking for daycares with preschool for my daughter Safari kids was one among the options we had. Later when we interacted with Namrata she explained the options. After thinking on which one to join Safari kid was the better choice we decided. My kid is an explorer she likes . We have 2 of our kids going here for the past 1.5 years. We are new to the area and when we visited the place we felt very relaxed with Namrata helping with all necessary requirements and process to get started. Teachers are friendly and accessible upon request. There are Parent - Student activities that do happen periodically. The communication was good thru Procare app. Our little one picked up many words and he can even form little sentences and we are happy with child development. I was surprised to see some negative feedback for this school but it could be personal experience. My elder daughter went to Safari kids when she was 2 year old and stayed with them till she moved to kindergarten. Similarly currently now my younger one is also going since past almost 2 years. Both of my kids have loved this place. Teachers are great and they make sure to take care of every need of little ones. They also provide good food options to the kids. They celebrate various festivals across culture and makes sure that kids gets exposed to various different things and not just academics. We have had a wonderful experience with Safari Kid, Milpitas. Our daughter joined when she was 18 months old, and since then, she has grown from a shy toddler, scared of strangers, into a confident child who is quiet communicative! Namrata has been a great point of contact- she is swift in responding to questions and requests. Despite the low teacher to student ratio, the teachers are very patient, engaging and attentive The teachers post pictures regularly on the Procare app to track activities done by the kids. I feel my child got well equiped in speaking, reading and math with weekly worksheets coupled with the workbooks at school. They were a few bumps along the way, especially when we trying to potty train our daughter, but I found them very responsive when we openly communicated our issues- they even came up with ways to help our daughter along the process. Some of the negative reviews are very surprising- we have not faced issues with late openings, or of any negligence on the teachers behalf. I had very bad & upsetting experience with this pre-school. 1. The pre-schools door does not open on time.This happened many time & I have reported this to school . There are times many parents waited for someone to come after 5-10 minutes to open the door so that the kids can be dropped off. 2. Teacher to student ratio .Too many student per teacher . Not sure there is any policy followed for teacher to student ratio. But you can see there are too many student per teacher. 3. Maximum capacity approved by fire Marshal. What is the max approved limit should be posted where everyone can see To many kids means it's exceeds the limit. The school has to be transparent with the parents & safety of everyone with in that building. 4. Providing the receipt for tax filing at the end of the year . Example - If the total fees paid per child is 15k for the whole year then ,the schools should give a receipt of the exact same value, instead school try to give a receipt of a lower value saying anyway you could deduct only a small portion for tax purpose. Manipulating the recipient is not acceptable. Why Anyone has to ask for the full amount receipt . We have given the fess in full, now give the accurate receipts. 5. When the school get closed in March 2020, The school told us they will refund the deposited amount once the school open. (I have written email confirmation) Time passed ... After that every email I have sent for the refund , this happened . First they don't respond to emails, until you send followups after followups. May be the school theory just don't reply and eventually people will give up. As soon as I asked the refund the school removed my email id from the distribution list , thinking on the theory that neither the parents going to get the email not they recall about asking the refund. Every other place whose services we were using they have refunded any remaining amount as they were closed. I have waited until the school open & given enough time for the school to catch up . So finally I ask to refund the deposit amount as the school promised . The same school authorities asking to give them some time so that they can refund the amount (in writing , in a email) now their tone has changed , they just simply eat up the deposit money. Until you give the money they are good , as soon as you give the money they may not recognize you. You are just one of the profit point. Personally I feel there are much better pre-schools out there , I would never waste my hard earned money here. read more

When my husband and I first toured this place, we felt confident and comfortable that our son would have a good experience at this daycare.We signed him up and had him begin the following week. On his first day at Safari Kid, no one who was working there during drop off times seemed to know that our son was a new student. The staff member was able to find his paperwork, but it was obvious that there was a huge lack of communication among the "sales" side of the daycare and the rest of the staff. When I picked up my son on the first day, I could hear him screaming from the outside. When I asked what had happened, they said he wanted milk and didn't offer any other information. On his third day at this daycare, I came to pick him up early because of a doctor's appointment. I was shocked to find him laying on the floor, with no one seeming to care. I picked him up off the floor and just wanted to cry. At that exact moment, his teacher approached me and instead of explaining why my son was alone on the floor, she basically scolded me saying, "Your son doesn't talk, does he? He's not interacting with the other kids." I was shocked. I asked why he was on the floor and she said it was because he didn't want to eat. I didn't have time to argue with this person because I was running late to my son's doctor's appointment so I left. I felt so sad for my son. This was unacceptable and I got him out of that daycare quickly. We only kept him at this daycare for three days because we couldn't stand it any longer. My husband and I made many attempts to speak to the manager about this and never received a phone call back, which is why I am writing this review. A good daycare provides ample communication to parents and makes you and your child feel safe and comfortable being there. Seeing my son lying on the floor, alone, without any explanation really broke my heart. And the fact that the staff or manager refused to address the situation makes them negligent. I hope that if you are a parent reading this, do not send your child to this daycare. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Overall I am satisfied with my daughter's progress. She starting going to this center almost 2 years back when she was 2 years old. Initially I was very worried about her since she has always been at home and not exposed to preschool type environment. She used to cry a lot in the beginning but her teachers were very patient and clam and gave her personal attention in initial few days to help her get adjusted to the preschool environment. I like the fact that I can reach out to teachers directly during pickup/dropoff and chat about any concerns/feedback I have related to my daughter. They have a good mix of activities for kids to grow both academically and personally. They also offer extra-curricular activity on campus which my daughter loves to go. They have a dedicated parents/teachers meeting twice a year to discuss kid's progress. This is very helpful to learn how she is performing at preschool. The experience at safari kid was appalling. I enrolled my son 2 years ago and it's a good starter school. Miss Millie is amazing and i enjoyed working with her the first year. My child then was promoted to 1B and the experience started getting worse. The teachers there forced my son to sleep. And if they didn't sleep she created a sense of scare. "If you don't sleep I will make you wear diaper"... "if you don't sleep I will send you to Ms Ts class"(Miss T happens to be a new teacher).. "you aren't allowed to use the bathroom in nap time" "raising voice and scolding my child to sleep"... So as this started my child would cry to go to school. One night he woke up and 12am and cried like crazy stating I am scared to go to Miss ---- class, Miss ---- will hurt me if I don't sleep. My happy child would cry every single morning for an hour to go to that teachers class. As a concerned parent we requested the director of the school to change my child's class so he forgets this episode. She mentioned that 'based on evaluation your child doesn't know starting sounds and vowels and can't be eligible to promote to the next class', 'your child is just making this up as the kid wants to be home'. As a parent I had to trust my child here and I pulled him out of the school. I then request the director to pay back my deposit and she says, please send your child I will promote.. as we now have additional teacher in the class. A child who didn't do well in evaluation can now be sent to the next class because they can't return the money!!!!! When I look back I think I just made the wrong choice. This is such a crowded school and they don't care what happens!!! Even though we complain about what the child feels they just blindly trust the teachers and fail to notice a child's suffering. I checked with the another parent and she said my son closes his eyes because he is scared of the teacher. He is scared because they will make him wear diaper if he doesn't sleep. I wouldn't recommend safari kid for any child above 3 years.. 2-3 I would say yes give it a shot just for Ms Millie. The whole concept of evaluation and promotion doesn't make sense to me. Also if a child doesn't want to sleep teachers have no right to threaten the kid. Law doesn't state to threaten a child to sleepZ There are different humble ways to handle a child rather than rudeness. read more

The feelings we have for Safari Kid school with regards to our son are of absolute satisfaction and happiness. We are assured when it comes to our son's academic and individual development because Safari Kid is such a great place for him to learn and grow. Great curriculum and amazing teachers deserve all the credit for this! My son had joined a preschool in India when he was 2.5 years old. then we moved to US, when he was 3 years old and he joined a preschool here and he was very happy with it. But then we had to move to Milpitas : Amalfi Apartments. We liked the environment at Safari Kid and decided to enroll him here. We were anxious as how he would cope in his new school as he was very happy with his old school, but the homelike, warm, calm and encouraging environment in Safari Kid, with strong educational tools made him feel comfortable, confident and happy with this change. The class teachers in level 1b Ms. Sumaya and Ms. Santosh were so engaging, and caring towards him. They encouraged my son to take interest academically and also prompted him to communicate effectively in class thus, improving his communication skills. After he was evaluated in terms of his academic progress, my son was moved to level 2. Again I would give credit to his teachers in level 2 Ms. Nidhi and Ms. Namrata for his further academic, behavioral, social and extracurricular development. Safari Kid has the best curriculum and homework in preschool which i have come across. Not only that but the extracurricular activities like art and craft, stem activities and presentation projects have helped to improve my son's motor skills, public speaking skills and cognitive skills. He is now far more confident as an individual than what he used to be earlier. Also i like the overall positive environment at this safari kid, where teachers teach kids the right conduct and if they don't behave appropriately, they are explained in very good manner. My son also looks forward to his nap times here as they create the right environment for naps. I am thankful to the this entire unit for taking such good care of all the students. read more

Highly recommend Safari Kids @ Milpitas! My daughter started at Safari Kids when she was a little over 2 years. She had just slowly started speaking at that time. She initially resisted going, but within no time she was always excited to go back to school. She spent 1.5 years at Safari Kids (now she is in a different Preschool). Within few months, she could read alphabets. She could say numbers. There was a lot of focus on learning, at the same time there was emphasis on music, fun activities, drawing/painting, fitness (Yoga, Gym lessons etc.). Twice a year, there was dance performance in Milpitas library, which was a delight for us to watch (and so for every parent I am sure). I'd like to give a shout out to her wonderful teachers, Ms. Mili and Ms. Jahnavi who are amazing and exceptional teachers. My daughter formed a connection with them and still misses them dearly. 5 stars from my side! read more

My daughter (3.5 years old) is happy end of the day and that's all you want after work. She has been going to this day care for almost an year now. Initial transition was difficult for her from home based to preschool which is obvious for any kid. Being an Indian parents, getting hot Indian meal is the best part from Safari Kid. I am not worried much about the learning side as i know, eventually she will learn everything. Staff is very nice. Overall i am satisfied with Safari Kid. The only one suggestion for Safari Kid is that make all kids more disciplined and don't allow them to run around all the time :) read more

This review is for the Safari kid online preschool. We enrolled our 3 year old in Safari kid online school last year due to the pandemic. Honestly, I didn't expect much out of the class since it was online and I didn't think my 3 year old wouldn't stay engaged, but it turned out to be really nice. The teacher Ms. Jyoti is an outstanding teacher and she did a great job of keeping the kids engaged. Although the classes are online, she does a great job of providing personalized attention to each student. I was quite impressed when I got a detailed report of my child's progress after three months of the online class and the teacher knew exactly what my son knew and what he needed to work on. My son really enjoyed online class and all the activities that they conducted. read more

My 4 yr old daughter has been going here for 4 months now and i have seen a great improvement in her academics.Teachers are awesome and really go beyond their prescribed duties.they have a well defined curriculum so the parents know what they should expect their child twill be learning on monthly basis and they also focus well on developing soft skills.A very good part is that they have so many extra activities on site like dancing,music,soccer,gymnastics etc. I took off a star because of the inadequate play area and another one for not so great cleanliness standards.i would be happier if they do professional carpet cleaning time to time and keep the toilets a tad bit cleaner.Unfortunately my work place is relocating and i will have to withdraw my daughter as pick up and drop will be difficult otherwise the school has all my recommendations. read more

My son is going to safari kid for two years now. This is his first school and he really seems to love it. This school really helps for his overall personality development. All the teachers are very caring and professional. They maintain a balanced curriculum for math, English, science, social and monthly themes. Apart from academics they concentrate on children's language , social and gross motor skills. They come up with really nice arts and crafts every Friday. I love their monthly presentation themes too. I put my son in Safari kids ,Milpitas when he was " 2 & a half" years. It went well for "5 " months but after that we started facing problems. All the good teachers were replaced by unprofessional ones. Multiple times I picked my son in soiled diaper, I even mention this to the teacher but even then they kept on repeating the mistake. One day when I picked my son he was playing outside in the sun with fever. They didn't even bother to call and inform me. When asked none of them had clue that my son is having fever. Height of negligence!!! My son faint while going back home and I end up calling 911 and spending the whole day in hospital with him. This is a clean and safe place for your child. Once you drop your child you can be stress-free. My son started attending this daycare when he was 20 months old. I cannot thank enough Ms. Janhavi, Ms. Mili, Ms. Shylaja, Ms. Sumaira, Ms. Namrata and of course Ms. Ruma who were so caring, loving and patient. My son took 4 months to get adjusted to the school but never a day I saw any teacher receiving him with a frowning face. They always smile and always have a positive environment in the classroom. My son is very happy here, which is what every parent wants for their child. This place provides ample opportunities for the all round development for the child. Each child is free to walk around the school- of course with supervision, this school is a child initiated learning environment. Parents are updated on activities that they do by monthly newsletters on how the previous month went and what children learnt during the month. My daughter stared going here since she was 18 months and its been a year now, my son started around the same time for summer camp and then continued on for after-school program where they pick him up from school and then help in homework, arts, drawing, dance, chess, and lots more... I am really happy I found Safari Kid and I couldn't ask for more. They do a lot of fun stuff like spring concerts, annual function, mothers day/fathers day where they get the kids to prepare for dances and performances and arrange for the big hall in the library to host these events. This is the worst school i have come across.75 % of the staff sounds under educated who cant even talk English properly. when ever i go pick up my kid she looks so clumsy.Honestly they don't teach them much . My kids are going to this place since last 1 year and I have seen a lot of difference in their academic knowledge. Also I have seen their curiosity level increasing because they bring a whole lot of new experiences from what their teachers taught them that day. My kids have been going to Safari Kids , since we moved to Milpitas . I saw a great change in my son's academic level and his confidence after he joined this school in Pre-K .Now, both my kids go to their after-school program.The teachers are very loving and help them with their home-works everyday .They also have other activities like chess, public speaking ,spelling bee etc in the after-school schedule which really boosts up the confidence level of my kids. My daughter has been going to Safari kids since she was 2. She was at home till then and transitioned within a week to the environment thx to the warm and caring teachers. The teachers are warm and caring and pay attention to the individual needs of the kids and the director is open to free conversations. They do a lot of fun activities and have a good balance of academic and non-academic activities(dance/singing/story times/monthly presentation/arts and crafts/manipulatives). They also have teachers coming into the school for ballet/karate/drawing and other classes. They could be a little more creative in their play area with water activities and stuff. Given their other positives it can be overlooked. Overall we are very happy with our choice of school. read more

My 5yr old started there 4 months ago to prep for KG at Challenger. He has had a splendid time at Safari Kid and I really wanted to thank all the teachers for the sincere efforts!! It's clear that Ms Sushma, Ms Ruma, Ms Meha and other teachers have made a very strong contribution in my child's learning and personality. Teachers are always smiling and encouraging. What really matters the most is that they care about the child and his development (both academically and otherwise). My daughter is going to Safari kid, Milpitas for almost a year now. She has improved a lot in academics. The student-teacher ratio is good and they provide individual care to the kids. The center is great ! My son has been going to this center for 2 years now, I love the attention and great care the teachers give my child. The creative art projects and daily routine is great for my preschooler. They have a perfect balance for academic and non academic activities. My daughter attended Safari Kid for over 6 months, starting there at about 2.5 y.o. She loved the school, and still talks about her teachers and classmates. The atmosphere is easy-going, and school-time is fun with several b'day celebrations, events, jump bunch classes (daughter's favorite) and show and tells. The teachers are great (Ms Meha, Ms Martiza, Ms. Sushmita, Ms Mili, Ms. Babita) to name a few. They helped my kid in every possible way. My son has been going to this preschool for just over a year now. He wasn't potty trained when he started and was extremely attached to me. So I was really skeptical to start him anywhere. The first time I left him here, he did cry which is normal but by the time I went to pick him up, he was all smiles and settled in!! As the days passed, my confidence in the place grew. They have good academic stuff that the kids can do, arts/crafts for younger kids and more writing etc for older ones. They have interesting monthly presentations which are fun for parents and improve learning for kids. They also have variety of classes in afternoon(optional). My son goes for jumpbunch which he loves. I had checked out a whole bunch of preschools before coming here and amongst the non-montessori pre-schools, this one is good. My children really enjoying going to Safari Kid - Milpitas because the staff is so friendly and caring towards the children. In addition, the teachers teach with love and care. My children began going to Safari Kid as preschoolers and continued going as a after school program and within a month, I saw a big improvement in their academics. The school also offers many variety extra curricular activities for preschool and after school children like chess, Bollywood dance, Jump Bunch, art and language classes.
