I sent a letter dated 8/2019 requesting the service cancellation effective 8/2019. Last Sept. 2019, I called them in regards to the service cancellation and talked to Josh and he told me that it takes about 60 days for the service cancellation to take effect. on 10/2019, I sent an email asking why there was not service cancellation, there was no response to my request. On 10/25/2019 I was able to talk to one of their Resolution Account Executives, Sorhaya Verdiner, and she told me that she will cancel the service 10/31/2019 after reviewing the account with her manager. Thereafter, nothing happened and they kept billing us. We sent certified letter to their CEO to resolve the matter and a someone named Joy at x1799 called me on 2/13/2020, and I was busy in the office. I informed my husband and he contacted Joy. She told my husband that she will review the account and mention that we might even receive a refund. She stated she would call my husband back on 02/14/2020. She never called back. Now we keep getting statements and and have been threatened to be reported to the credit bureau. It is no wonder that other Yelpers call them "Scumbags". Terrible company to deal with - Initial poor installation on first sytem. Then when I express my desire to leave at end of contract - lots of promises to do this and that - new system, 6 months free etc. So I opted to give them another chance and they have been unresponsive to messages and then if / when they do return the call it is like I left no information on the message. Needed to go over it all again. They sent me updated system to have their installer come to install - installer arrived and said "I will not install this old technology in your nice home - you would not be happy!" So started the process of returning the system to obtain newer system for install - yes we will send you the shipping ticket / oh sorry supervisor was to send and I will send / you haven't received yet and the story goes on and on. To point of 6 months after receipt of the new system to replace old system - I took it upon myself to return the system. My direction to them was - if you can not provide me with new technology that is comparable to what I see being advertised in my area - I want to cancel the contract. Oh - since you missed the notice period you will have to pay us for an additional years service. That is only part of the issue. Do not use SHS - whatever you do - source another provider as a decision to use SHS will lead to nothing but frustrations. I should have read the other reviews posted on line. STAY AWAY STAY AWAY I was with this company for three years because of the contract signed. Call 1 : Three months before expiring contract, I was asked for renewal and told them want to cancel the service. Reason, installing video monitoring for better rate. OK. Call 2: A month later, for another call for renewal and said same and OK. Received bill for equipment's and other pending bill Call 3: Asked for reason and was told that they need signed copy of the cancellation document before 60 days. Why did not they say before while i asked to cancel, " I dont know, we need 60 days notice.". Got email address and fax numbers through online chat system. Both did not work. Sent the cancellation by Mail. Call 4: One month later, received the letter for cancellation and want to settle for 180$. Asked the reason. They auto billed to my car until end of contract and now want late payment fee, device usage, and another three months payment. I can get ring security system for 220$ for more than double doors/windows coverage than this prank company. Two nights they alarm went on when i was at home, due to one door opened on high wind, but never received a call to check. I dont know what they monitor for charging 32.99 per month. This is my worst experience as security company. Stay away from these guys. They are total prank. Paid extra two months of the bill and yet to hear back from these guys. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. This company is terrible. Complete scammers! I have been paying for 3 years and have 2 more to go and had to get another alarm service company because they weren't even monitoring my home. My neighbors told me my alarm went off at least three times and I never got a phone call from them. When I tried to cancel my service they said they had a signed contract that I couldn't get out of, not even if I payed a cancellation fee to get out early. Since they were on autopay with my bank I called my bank but they told me I would have to close my account in order to stop payments. Unfortunately it was connected to my business account and I would have had to close it, open a whole new account and order new business and payroll checks. I probably would have done that but I had just spent over $350 for new checks recently ordered, not to mention all my payroll tax accounts were linked to that account. WORST COMPANY EVER! Unpolite, worst customer service. They have been threatening my grandmother who is 76 years old, being rude, and not understanding. Not professional, spoke with Erick who works there and was the rudest person. He got mad because I called during his lunch break, apparently, he felt he was doing me a favor on answering the phone while on lunch. Spoke to a supervisor, Gabriel, and was even worst. They tried to provide "solutions" to pay them but they just went too far by saying to sell her house so she can pay the alarm system. They even suggested to get a lawyer. I wish I could do no stars. IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL!!! I canceled my service in 2011 when my contract expired. Called in to the company and told them I was moving to another state. I was told to fax a letter to them requesting cancellation. Because my contract was expiring a month after i notified them I was told would only have to pay the extra month. To my surprise, they continued to take money out of my account for a service that I cancelled. I made the mistake of thinking this transaction was for my new alarm company so it went unnoticed for more than a year. Once I discovered I was still paying them for a service that i cancelled I contacted them. It was recorded in my file that i called and said that I was moving to a new state and no longer wanted their service. Now they're saying they didn't get my letter of cancellation and that's why it wasn't cancelled. I asked how they could continue to charge me without a contract and was told it just rolled over automatically. I was also told that I had to prove to them that I no longer owned the home that was tied to the account. I refused to provide that information because it's none of their business. I have emailed another cancellation letter to them and to safe guard myself I put a "stop payment" at the bank so this company can no longer withdraw funds. They're the most untrustworthy company. Terrible company. As others have stated, I would give them a lower rating if possible. Bought out a local security monitoring company we had established services with for many years. We sold our home in May, have been trying to cancel services since. They do not return messages. I have emailed and called multiple times. They refuse to cancel and continue to bill me.. Received letter today that I am being turned over to collections. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and the State of Fl business and regulation dept. they need to be put out of business!!!! read more

Their security system works fine, thank God I haven't had any alarms. I'm writing because when the technician installed the system several weeks ago, he damage my furniture. My husband has called several times and requested there be some type of compensation so we can have our chair repaired. We sent email's and left messages with a guy name Manny and only by asking for his boss did he call us back. They don't seem like they know what they are doing. Safe Home Security is the worst. Do not use these people! They are absolutely the worst, most unprofessional service providers I have ever encountered. Their equipment did not work. I had numerous false alarms. I BEGGED them for three weeks to get someone out to service but they did not have anyone "in my area," available. This company is extremely non military friendly! I made a mistake of signing a 3 year contract with them (I already owned a security system and only needed monitoring) and completely regret it. I have military orders to move and this company is trying to charge me $328 for a cancellation fee for the remaining 11 months on the contract. They say we can still use them since we will be in the US, but we cannot as we will be renting and possibly moved again in a year! Also, our system was hard wired and couldn't be removed without causing extensive damage to the house it was in. Worst company ever! Never disclosed a 5 year commitment upon signup and now that my contract is over they automatically reviewed me for another year without informing the customer. Started it was written in my original agreement. They are however calling me weekly to resign a new contract with them. I am in the process of moving so need to cancel as it's ridiculous to keep service for a house I don't own and they requested I send them my closing paperwork but then advised it would take 60 days to process! I've called frequently for an update and was told they would call me back with an update and nothing! Company only out for customers money. This company was referred through a business networking group that supposedly verifies that they are credible. Unfortunately, they are nothing but scammers. They presented a great deal to get us to switch out service to them, but never disclosed that they have massive early termination fees and will try to keep you in a contract even if you move. Months of calls to resolve the issue went unanswered, or in the rare event they did answer, they would say that they were working on a resolution. Lies. They eventually sent a letter from their collections department claiming over $800 owed. We paid it to avoid the fraudulent credit reporting tactics other reviewers have mentioned this company uses elsewhere, but have also begun the process of pursuing them under the MA Consumer Protection Act, of which their abusive and deceptive practices are clearly in violation. If they dare to try to report this to the credit agencies, I will also pursue them under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Hopefully, the appropriate regulatory agencies will shut this nest of scammers down. read more

My wife and I fell victim to Safe Home Security as well. Avoid this unethical company at all cost. When we signed a 30 month contract we ensued their was contract language that if we sell our home prior to the end of the contract term we could pay a small cancellation fee. A year later we moved across the country and called and cancelled our service. Monthly debts continued to hit our account. We then went through a six month process to cancel our account. We ended up just paying the remaining amount on the 30 month contract. However the debts kept hitting our AMX account. We finally got AMX involved and they investigated and ruled that future safe home charges were fraudulent. We thought we were finally free from this awful, unethical, and immoral company, until my wife checked her credit score a couple years later. They said we had delinquencies. I called in and spoke with Christopher Health he was a exceptionally well at being patient and helping me with my alarm system. after 15 minutes of us going through the inner workings of the alarm system he let me know thaat i was eligible to add a service plan for a rep to come to my home and fix my alarm. he was a great help! read more

I agree with all the other reviews. One star is too good for this company. Customer Service is AWFUL!!!! I called repeated times asking to speak to a manager and NEVER received a call back. Every time I called back, I get a difference answer or excuse. At this point, I'm not paying for a service call. Since my fire alarm went off and never received a call asking if I was o.k. When I contacted them, they told me it was a false alarm. How can they make that assumption, especially after NEVER verifying who I was. I would love to get out of my contract, which expires in April 2019. You would think after trying to talk to someone for 3 weeks, I would be offered to have a technician come out at no expense to me. I am certainly NOT paying $10/month for a service contract for a 3 year time period. A call from a manager or better customer service is not too much to ask for. read more

If I could give a negative rating I would as 1 star is too high. Where to start. Customer service is horrible. They demand all kinds of personal information to close your account even if you sell the home where you had the service, like copies of the sales documents which by nature contain information that is really non of their business. Even after you cancel they keep charging your bank account. After canceling a second time I can only pray they stop deductions otherwise I'll have to get legal action involved. Save yourself a headache and a ton of money and pick any other company. Do a little research and you will see this is not the only bad review. Six months of broken promises, billing for services not requested, lack of response to phone messages, back-dated correspondence and threats to report delinquency to a credit bureau if we don't pay three months in advance are among the many frustrations we have with this company. Omg. I honestly don't even know where to begin with this company. If you have them your home is not safe. I had ADT For over 20 years. Switched to Safe home and all was fine until they upgraded my equipment. Nothing has worked right since. Smoke detectors beep all day and night. I have service me here TWICE a week as I guess my job and bills don't matter and still not working. And best part alarm went off last weekend. Not here. Not in my home but at safehome office. They dispatched fire. Police. And emt. Volunteers at 2 Amin the dead of winter for their faulty equipment and service. Today is my 5th service call to replace all smoke detectors. They sent the kid with 1. Not all of them. Just 1. So my children , pets and home are not safe what so ever. Do not ever use this company. WORSE SECURITY COMPANY EVER. This security company is nothing but a scam. They charge for a service they aren't providing. On several occasions we noticed that the system was not working. We called but never got a response. We began to test the system and we never, never got a call from the monitoring system to let us know the door had been opened. We decided to cancel the service after 5 years. It was not the original security company and it was sold to this company. We called them to notify that we wanted to cancel the service and was told to send a letter by mail and email. We did both. But after a month they billed us again. I called them and got the run around and that they would take care of the problem Next month again we got billed. So after four months of charges, we notified the bank and they blocked the charge. They tried again and again and the bank kept blocking the charge. Then we got nasty letters telling us we were going to be charged all sorts of fees and charges for failing to pay the bill. After speaking to them on the phone upon receiving the letter we got threaten with further charges. I have filed a complaint against this company to the Attorney Generals office in Arizona due to their threatening and intimating tactics to get you to pay them. I also reported them to the BBB. I have been with Safe Home Security for over 4 years now. I initially signed a 3 year contract in which my term expired over a year ago. Last year, Safe Home had called me repeatedly to ask if I would like to renew my contact and I stated that I would not like to renew. Different representatives would call me every day and I strictly told them I do not want another contract. On May 5 2017, I called to cancel service that I would be all set. I saw my credit card get charged after and I called back to figure out what is going on. They told me I need to email a written confirmation letter for cancellation and I did that on 6/8/17. I called on 6/21 to follow up and now they are telling me that I am under contract until January of 2018. read more

Stay AWAY. They are unethical and the rudest people you will ever do business with. My husband called them and they sold him an alarm system. Before even discussing with me, he had it installed. When I came home and saw it, I told him I did not want it. The company told my husband that as I work, they wanted me to sign the contract. Now for teh past 2 years they have been sending bills in my name, to me personally saying I am responsible for monitoring. I have asked them, where is the contract??? Update - Jill at legal x1602 emailed me back after calling her and leaving several voice mail messages and actually speaking to her. I told her I would forward her a letter from her collection agency stating that they would not pursue collection from me and returned the account to SafeHome. Jill said she would look at that when she had a chance, as she needed to leave early. After not hearing back from her for 5 days, I sent her the email again, to which she replied that she never got it days ago. Even though I have e-mail confirmation she got it. SafeHome was having phone and fax and email problems....Apparently for days. Jill couldn't call me to follow up and tell me that she didnt get the info, she just waited for me to contact her again. She responded today as follows - the account is still due. the collection agency returned it to SafeHome due to the complaint letters I had previously written. This company is such a joke.
