I do not recommend safe2go. Go to 911 driving school if you want a good driving school. These people didn't show up to some of my drives and then proceeded to try and fine us the penalty for not showing up even thought they didn't. They were hard to work with but they did end up giving us 2 free written tests because they made it very difficult too be in this class. read more

Hello, Your DOL examiner was extremely disrespectful to my teen age daughter and myself. On several occasions during her drives, she stated that he yelled at her and slammed on the break while she was driving, she did not feel safe with Sam, your DOL instructor. When there was a scheduling issue on this last Saturday, Sam was extremely disrespectful and abrasive towards me. I felt that I was verbally assaulted. I tried to explain this to the office staff today I was blown off and my concerns where not addressed. My daughter does not deserve to be treated in this manner as she is a very good and respectful student and has done everything that has been asked of her is a respectful manner. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with my daughter experience with your driving school and your staff. read more

If I could give negative stars, I absolutely would. This comes from the perspective of a former driving student at the Safe2Go location in Monroe. Susan Chadwick should not be an instructor. I took her class at Monroe High School in the afternoon. She is not fit to be a driving instructor for multiple reasons. In the classroom she had a habit of sharing too much of her personal life. This typically involved her late husband. She'd talk about how he would drink multiple cases of alcohol in a night, complaining about how she doesn't understand why he would do that. Frankly, this is not an appropriate topic for the class and nobody should be venting about their personal life to students. She also had some weird bias towards girls. I used to hear from my friends that they had awful drives with her because she'd yell at them to the point that they'd start crying. Occasionally she'd share stories of drives with girls who'd end up crying, but what was gross was the way she seemed proud about it. She was much nicer to boys on their drives --- a bit too nice, really. I sat in the backseat during someone else's drive and I was creeped out by her excessive giggles and demeanor towards another male student. Parents: Don't let your kids learn from Susan Chadwick, especially if you have daughters. She will make it a point to yell and make them cry. Although be wary if you have sons, as she behaves a little weird around them. She'd be nice to them in an odd way. Let's just say that if I had a son I wouldn't want him anywhere near her. Students: If you're unfortunate enough to have her as an instructor like I did, try your best to resist any temptation of crashing your car into a pole --- specifically on her side. Talk to your parents and either get a different instructor or go to a different driving school. Fortunately, I was able to get some driving instruction from Sam and Yvette later on. These two are great instructors and I'd recommend them to any student. Overall, Susan Chadwick has some emotional problems that are very obvious to students. Her methods don't create confident and responsible drivers. All they do is ruin someone's driving experience at a very impressionable age. I'd be shocked if anything has changed since I had her as an instructor. Insecurities like hers run deep and don't disappear overnight. read more

On the other hand, at the everett location there is only one testing instructor and i would not recommend taking your test with her. i took it a little while ago, and she failed me on a collection of nitpicks. anyway just test at 911 if you want a chance at passing. read more

HORRIBLE ... service ... i call and spoke to a woman who told me that they could do saturday testing.. that i had to "register/pay" online before she could schedule thwe test .. i specifically asked if they did saturday test... she said "yes .. we can do a 4:30pm this saturday ... so i paid ...and she said that she would call back to confirm the appointment once payment was secured.... then a few moments later the "OWNER" called me ... completely RUDE and short on the phone ... told me that they don't do saturdays and that i would have to adjust my schedule to work with their's ...... i asked all this before they took my money... SCAM ... and then when i asked for the woman's name .. she just hung up on me .... the i called back and she threatened to report me to the DOL ... "we can refuse service to anyone" ..hang up again! never would she give me her name ... avoid this place at all cost ... LIES to get your money ... this is a FACT ... read more

I thought this was a great school and they were excellent at there job and I would highly recommend them to anybody.

I have a similar experience to a few other reviews. It took me over a year to get my license and I always failed by a few points. The classroom experience with this place is probably what caused this. They teach by fear, in the sense of scaring you into being a good driver. That caused me to be very afraid of driving, which is never fun. During the drives, the instructor made one of my friends cry by ramming on the break really hard when someone was just starting the cross at the exact opposite side of the road. Half the time, the instructor would be late for the drive, but if you're late for the drive, they have very harsh consequences. They never really give you freeway driving. They don't help prepare you for the written test. The customer service at the front desk is awful as well. We could never get a straight answer on anything, prices, drive times, questions. All we wanted was to schedule the driving test, but it was so difficult. I'm not sure if they just have bad staff in the office or what but it was very irritating. read more

This place is a disgrace. We had an instructor take my daughter out for her test drive but not before going off in the lobby about how irresponsible kids are. (I should have known then we got an instructor with a chip on her shoulder)My daughter, who has been driving for 9 months and passed every single test and quiz with flying colors failed her drive. She marked her down for not using her parking break, when my daughter swears she did- and even told the instructor she did. I strongly recommend this company examine its business management problems. I'm sure you're all wonderful people but your business practices are severely lacking. Employees are way too casual. Advising children to drive over the speed limits not acceptable. Their customer service and management skills do not meet even the minimum expectations of professionalism. Gossiping to your children about clients is not acceptable. Lack of consistency in hours of operation and expecting clients to guess at what day you're open from week to week is unreasonable. I have had mixed experiences with Safe2Go Driving School in Monroe. Some if their instructors are amazing! Unfortunately Susan is not! Susan tested my son and started the test by asking if he had taken drivers ed. When he said no but I have had my permit for over 6 months and have been driving daily, she said well you will probably need private lessons. BEFORE she even tested him! When I called to complain about that I was told well she is a DOL certified tester. He did fail his drive test. But turned around and tested with another driving schools later that afternoon and passed. I would not recommend anyone test with her unless you have had drivers ed! She appears to have pre conceived notions that unless you pay safe2go you can't drive. To be clear we have used them a total of 3 times this being the first with her. I purchased a driving lesson online. I had to call the office a couple hours after I purchased the lesson to schedule the time and date of the lesson with not them but a third party. After scheduling I received an email. During all this time no one told me nor was it written in the email that I needed to purchase a 35$ Primit from the dol prior to my lesson and bring with and required in order to even do the lesson. I found all this out when I showed up for my lesson. I was a little taken back when they said they told me about the permit even though I had no idea. I apologized for the confusion and asked to reschedule my lesson for another day so I can go home and purchase the permit. Suzan the owner explained to me that I needed to step outside, she wasn't going to reschedule or refund my lesson. Asked that I leave pushed my 6 month pregnant self out of her buildings front door. And locked the door behind her so needless to say I won't be going back or recommend going here for anything. read more

Over a year later, my son still doesn't have his license. After finishing up classes here, he took the written test twice. The first time he failed it because one of the questions on the test had been taught incorrectly in the classroom. He failed by one question..... The second time, he failed on his own, but I couldn't help but think that he'd be done if they hadn't taught misinformation because he would have passed the test the first time. We have experience with another driving school and I wish I hadn't gotten too lazy to drive my second child across the freeway to the other school. It was hands-down a far better experience. The drives at the 132nd Street location were not pleasant. My son came back beaten down every time. I had to listen to a list of complaints about my son from the instructor (they came off as complaints, not suggestions for improvement) and was scolded for not practicing enough between drives - even though we WERE practicing. They even refused to take him on the "freeway" drive because he said we weren't practicing. My son was nervous about these drives because of the negativity in the car the minute he got in. I was FURIOUS every single time. I don't need to be scolded, thanks. The other school's driving instructors were positive and encouraging and wanted you to succeed. The two instructors he drove with at Safe2Go were negative and almost wanted to catch the kids failing. Attitude makes a HUGE difference in success when it comes to teenagers. If you show up with negativity, they will respond to it accordingly. Once we showed up for a drive and there was no instructor. We rescheduled but the instructor didn't get the message that a drive was scheduled so we showed up again and there was no instructor. We had to wait for the other instructor to finish his drive and stay for our drive. It was frustrating to have to waste the time. So, here we sit over a year later. He lost the will to move forward after his experience. He's finally taking the test again this week at the OTHER driving school and I will also pay for a one-hour brush-up lesson before he takes his skills test there, too. I won't have him go back to Safe2Go for any of his testing. I kick myself for not going with the other school. It was a much better experience. Please don't respond and tell me you had no idea - you knew all along - I seemed to constantly be on the phone with the main office for the whole class session. And, frankly, I never found the main office to be that friendly. Seriously, I wish I could have a do over...... It was a very expensive mistake. read more

Was helping my nephew out when we contacted the school very courteous polite on the phone and knowledgeable. When my nephew and I walked in to the office the receptionist was great. Very personable very knowledgeable there was a classroom of young adults and there and the interaction with the staff and the clients made us feel right at home. I took my son yesterday to take his knowledge test to get his permit. I'm giving it 2 stars because I called mid afternoon and they were able to schedule me in the same evening, so that was pretty awesome. But as for customer service it's below a 1! The office lady that was there (Chadwick, she said her last name so I know it was her) was just plain rude. She didn't offer any information on how this process works and her demeanor made me afraid to ask her questions. This is my first experience with the first drivers lic. process and where I'm from it was way different so being told how this works would have been nice. After my son was checked in and went into the testing room I was told I had to leave and wait in my car cause she had to lock doors, which was fine....but after my son was done with his test (and he passed :) ) he walked out to the car and that was that. I have NO idea what we are supposed to do next, I mean he didn't walk out with a permit in hand, so now what?? The door was still locked so I couldn't go back in and ask her what were supposed to do now. I will call today to find out the next step but it was up to her to inform the parents how this works. I would definitely find a friendlier and more helpful place to take your child! read more

This is the second time we've been through driver's ed, the first time being with a different driving school through the high school that my daughter didn't like and didn't complete (she dropped out after the instructor yelled at her). So, we were hesistant about which school to choose next. Safe 2 Go proved to be a good choice. My daughter gained more confidence in her driving abilities and really liked and respected her teachers. Astrid was a good teacher. My daughter's skill level and knowledge has increased, and now she actually wants to practice driving. I would recommend Safe 2 Go to anyone, great experience. read more

This place is by far the worst driving school around the Mill Creek area. They are mismanaged and they take too long to process your class completion into the system (2-3 weeks which is ridiculous). One of the instructors, Astrid, made my last drive very inconvenient and confusing. There were too many misunderstandings on her part, so much so that we had to call the "main office" in Monroe to confirm the simplest things that Astrid should've been able to confirm on her own. And that's the other thing, why is the Mill Creek Safe2go office calling the Monroe office for confirmation on simple things? It just doesn't make sense to me. Overall I would never recommend the Safe2go driving school in either Mill Creek or Monroe. The only thing that's "convenient" about the school is that they're close by. Again they are unprofessional, unorganized, and mismanaged. Do not recommend at all. read more

I was really shocked by how I and my daughter were treated here. My daughter felt talked down to and criticized during class and drives. We were having a particularly busy and stressful time when my daughter was going through the school. We missed one drive, and Safe2go lost her drive card, and then the person she was supposed to do her observation with did not show, so at the end of class we had 2 make ups to do. She was never late for a class we paid in full and she got 100% on her written test. We paid the fee for the missed drive promptly (that was a whole other story). We went on vacation and so were going to go over 90 days from the start of class before my daughter finished the last drive and observation. Save2go told me that the department of licencing had a rule that students had to be done within 90 days or else. By the time I found this out we were leaving in a couple days and could not get there before leaving. I asked what the consequences were, and what we could do about it, and could not get a straight answer and was treated very rudely. So, the next day, I called another driving school to find out what they knew about the consequences of not finishing in the 90 days, and they said it was not a problem and an extension could be filed. I called Safe2Go back and got more weird behavior. For example, the owner said to me "what do you expect, you called my competition, they would say anything to discredit me" she was very angry that I had called the other local school and told me the other school was abusive to the students so that is why she started her school. (I have asked in local social media and looked at review sites and found no evidence for this claim) so then I called the department of licencing and was told there was not even a 90 day rule anyway,but that there had been, in the past, but it was more to regulate the schools not the students. So I talk again to the safe2go owner Monica and she is so difficult and rude that I decide it is worth the money to just pay for the final drive and do the observation somewhere else. I tell Monica this and call the other school. The other school tells me they are not sure I can switch at this point, so I call the DOL again and find out that we can not switch because different schools teach skills in different order so we might miss something. So I contact Monica and say we need to finish there and she is rude some more and I ask if she is refusing to let my daughter finish the course. She would not respond with anything but telling me I am the one who is refusing not her. Most of my communication with Monica at this point was through written messages (I was very shocked she wrote most of this down) so I sent this communication to the person I was talking to at the DOL and he suggested a 3 way email conversation to try to get it worked out. So he sent us both an email and clarified to her that there was no 90 day rule. Monica responded back to me privately and said that if I included the DOL in anymore conversations she would not talk with me again. So at that point I just forwarded her emails to the DOL guy and did not include him in the group message. Monica then sent me a document saying I and my 15 year old daughter would have to sign something saying we would never talk of our experience in the community and we would have to pay any fees up front before she would let my daughter finish. We had already paid all fees, and I told her that I was pretty sure she would need a judge to tell me I could not say anything and that I had not told my daughter of this fiasco and I was not about to include her in the signing of anything, or tell her how bad the situation was. Monica then told me she would have to look into "something" and get back to me about if my daughter could finish or not. At this point I did not want to pay for and have my daughter go through another whole course but I was also feeling pretty apprehensive about having her be alone with this woman or at the school. Monica got back to me after quite some time and said "good news! my daughter can finish" never says what she was waiting to find out and acts like things are all good. I ask for a new instructor as my daughter had felt talked down to by both of the ones she had driven with (she is a perfectionist and hard enough on herself already) We scheduled the drive and observation back to back I brought my daughter for the drive and attempted to introduce myself to the new, recently hired, instructor and confirm that he would be doing both the drive and observation. Monica stepped in front of me and cut me off. She also never acknowledged that there was no 90 day rule, much less apologized, and even after the DOL told her there was no 90 day rule she continued to refer to it and indicated she was making an "exception" to the 90 day rule for us. This was probably the worst and weirdest experience I have ever had with a business. read more

I had to give at least one star to leave this review, but I agree with the previous June 2017 review that negative stars were deserved. It's unfortunate too because the classroom and driving instructors are really very good, but the reason I will not enroll my next child here is due to the complete, total INEPTITUDE of the administrative staff. The administrative details are at least half the battle in licensing your driver, so you need them often. The Silver Lake office is not manned, making those administrative tasks needlessly frustrating. Parents can expect to sit outside on the curb as their child tests, due to the lack of office manning. Phone hours are limited from 11-6 I believe, so resolving an issue same-day is next to impossible. Clear communication is non-existent, for instance the web site stating "closed" on the July 4th holiday, yet the student syllabus showing class in attendance. Once THAT error is resolved it shifts all the drive/test times already on the schedule for the next week. We heard, "It's our busy season," "sorry, unexpected emergency," etc often as ways to explain off their incompetence. They never admit to an error, but will find a way to threaten YOU with a fee for noncompliance. Not only do they need more administrative staff, but that staff desperately needs to attend charm school first. I would not send my goldfish here, let alone my CHILD. So disappointing, and again, this is only directed at the administration. We were very pleased with all the instructors. read more

People skills are very poor. I recommend going anywhere but to this location. My first two teens went to another location in Monroe on Main Street and were treated with respect which helped ease the nervousness of being a new driver. My last teen went to this Safe2Go location in Monroe only to be treated like a 10 year old. The only reason I signed him up at this school was due to the fact it was a little closer to home. The instructor my son had was "Chadwick", Susan and should be working at the prison and not a driving school. She's mad at life and it shows in her demeanor. She forgets she's a driving instructor and not a cop. Her attitude has been the same over a 2 month period so it's not like she was having a bad day. I called and complained to the owner and all I got was some double talking lip service. The only good review this place has is the one the owner posted. Consider yourself warned. read more

His instructor did a wonderful job, my son said that he explained to him how he messed up and how to correct it without making he fell bad but with support, which as a mother I liked. When I had to reschedule a couple drives due to conflicts they worked with me just to get his drives in. Any questions or concerns I had were actually explained, not just fluffed off like I was a number. I would recommend this school to any of my friends read more

Can I give negative stars? Where do I even start. Office staff extremely disorganized. Several staff members and OWNER of the company completely rude to both myself and my son. I have been given wrong/conflicting information 6 (yes SIX) times and when I attempt to clarify and bring up the contradictions, I am spoken over and told I asked the "wrong person".... It took me four in person attempts to sign up my student for a written test (in order: the computer wasn't working (said they would call me back and didnt), the debit card maching wasn't working (said they would call me back and didnt), there was a staffing problem, the person didn't know their password). Finally the FIFTH time I went to the office I was able to register and pay, after sitting in the lobby for 10 minutes while the staff socialized in the back room. They finally emerged when I yelled "HELLO?". I was told by two people there was a test Friday and one that there was not. So, I paid and registered... Hoping there is? Today, we came for a written test tonight and one person told my student I needed to fill out paperwork and I should come inside, only to have the other person tell him not to listen to her. Do yourself and your children a favor and learn to drive elsewhere! This place is a waste of your time and money. From the get go, Safe2Go was unorganized and everything felt so rushed but I cut them some slack because it was the first time they had taught the driving school at our children's High School. I was under the impression that sending them to Safe2Go would teach my children how to drive, I was very wrong. After the driving school, I spent the next year and a half driving around with my kids to sharpen their skills before scheduling their test. One child passed on the first try. However; she was instructed to turn left over a double yellow line during her drive test and when she questioned the instructor he got frustrated with her. Pretty sure the DOL will be interested in this offense. My second child was less confident behind the wheel. She decided to try the drivers test and she failed, which we expected. After the test, her instructor, Susan, walked directly past me without a single word. Inside the office, she handed my daughter a piece of paper and would not even look in my direction. After we exited the building I asked to see the paperwork. I'm not sure if you have ever seen a DOL testing sheet before but it is basically written in Latin with circles and slashes on it. Unable to decipher the testing paper, I called the driving school later that night and asked to speak to Susan. The receptionist advised she was on a drive and could call me back. 10 minutes later some random lady I have never met called me back. She proceeded to ask me if my child was a minor or an adult because they may not be able to talk to me. I don't know why I would be calling for an adult child but whatever, my daughter is a minor. I had to explain again that I wanted to speak to Susan to decipher the paperwork so I know where my daughter needs assistance or extra direction. Maybe some additional driving instruction if Susan thought that would help. I was told Susan would call me back. Again, the random lady calls back stating she had spoken to Susan about the drive test and had info for me. Unfortunately she was not able to accurately answer any questions about my child's drive test. The next day I get an email from the driving school with no name attached providing me a link to schedule extra drives with a note stating that Susan could no longer discuss the test with me any further. (Interesting since she never spoke to me in the first place). No way in heck I am taking my child back there! After I paid over a thousand dollars to put my kids through their school, they can't even be kind enough to recap the drive test for me or answer some questions. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever seen. I told them so in an email. Then the manager sends me an email offering a discount. Why Lady??? So you can take my money and ignore me again?? No thanks! And what kind of "Manager" sends an email when they know someone is frustrated with their business. She should have picked up the phone but not all managers should be managers I guess. My daughter is now taking extra lessons at Xcellerate Driving School in Bothell. The people are friendly, energetic, customer service oriented and understand that parents invest in their kids and their questions are valid. Take your kids to Xcellerate and skip Safe2Go altogether. read more

NEVER GO TO SAFE 2 GO DRIVING SCHOOL. The teachers there have no idea what they are talking about and they grade so loosely and don't teach throughly. The worst part is they lied about the driving test. Plus one of the teachers named Astrid was so difficult to understand it made the process so much more confusing then it already was. They claimed they couldn't give the test but took the money and never said when they would ever schedule a test. My friend took the class for a month then finished all the drives only to be told she couldn't call for two weeks to speak to anyone about the next step. They never put in a completion of the course either all they said was "go to the DOL" like what are they going to do! NOTHING until you have all the required paperwork entered in the system! All they are in it for is the money and they have no knowledge whatsoever on the DOL system. I REPEAT DON'T GO THERE unless you want to wait a year or more to get your license. read more

When I enrolled my daughter in this driving school I didn't know that apparently she would be the only student without extensive prior driving experience. The school had a parent night, during which they failed to fully explain the way the classes and drives worked or were scored. They failed to return phone calls for weeks, even after I called almost daily. The instructors told me every time she finished a drive that she did well, only needed to practice one thing. When I brought her for the fifth drive they took me inside and explained that she had not passed the third drive yet, and I would have to pay for more drives or she would fail the course! When I asked why they hadn't said anything before I was told that they didn't want to say anything in front of the student to discourage her. Have they never heard of a phone call or email? The classroom instructor was rude and condescending to my teen, because she informed him she couldn't print the driver's manual and asked him for one of the ones in the cupboard- there was a stack and he still said no. In my opinion they were more concerned about getting our money than teaching the students how to be comfortable driving. I didn't even let my daughter finish the course. After the rude treatment by the staff and the underhanded business tactics they used, we opted to let her learn at a slower pace over then next two years and have her try again when she reaches 18. Big waste of the five hundred dollar fee. read more
