I was in desperate need of a new set of keys. I went to about four different locksmiths before I came to this one and I have to say the best customer service I've ever received. They were the only store that informed me they can make a copy of my keys. One of the keys I have is very old and a lot of stores weren't able to copy it but this one tackled the job no problem. They informed me the price of the key would be more because of the type of key. They keys were made in less than 5 minutes and I made two copies. The best locksmith experience by far! I dropped off a mortise lock that was on the front door for at least 50 plus years. I though I had two option before going Safeguard Lock & Key Inc. (1)Either buy a new lock which runs for about 300 to 600 or (2) Buying a new door and still having to get a new lock. I took a chance and brought the old mortise lock and they were able to fix the 50 year lock as good as new in a matter of one to two hours. I didn't have to buy a new door or lock. I just had to put the old lock along with a new cylinder right back where it came from. Other locksmiths tried to overcharge me and told me that there weren't many other options. I had some work done on my front door locks. Wilson, the technician was courteous and professional. The price that was quoted to me was the price I paid. As in all things mechanical, sometimes parts fail. I called Safeguard the next morning. Mike came over right away. Unfortunately, we weren't able to recreate the problem when he arrived. I told him what had happened previously. He said to call him on Monday when I had more time for him to come over and really take a thorough look at the lock. Not more than five minutes after he left, he called me back and said that as he was driving back to the store, he figured out what the problem was. He turned around and came back and fixed the problem. Only someone with superior knowledge of locks would've have been able to figure the problem with such an old lock.
